A Mixed Bag.

Drawn to these by the inexpensive price tag, and the rave reviews - I grabbed a few of these palettes to try out. The palettes I have are Vintage Romance, Arabian Nights and Ultra Mates V2. (I also had Garden of Eden but gave that away).

I have very mixed feelings about these palettes. As with most palettes, some shades are amazing, whereas some... aren't. In my opinion, the best palette (with the best colour payoff and pigmentation), is the Arabian Nights palette. Filled with beautiful jewel colours, this is super pigmented and fairly easy to blend out.

The other palettes I have by Sleek vary - some shades are amazing whereas some shades aren't that great at all.

In all honesty, I wouldn't purchase any more eyeshadow palettes by Sleek (although their contouring and highlighting kit is amazing). I think for the price they are definitely worth getting, but I have been spoiled by higher end, better performing shadows and so expect everything to perform like those.

If you're looking for inexpensive, yet (mostly) good quality shadows then these are worth getting to try out.

Tips: Buy these from a NZ retailer - you help support small businesses!

Heaven sent?

I love the iDivine palettes and these were my first ever Sleek purchases. They are very pigmented so a little bit goes a long way! They are inexpensive and great to have in your makeup collection especially if you're starting out with makeup. Better buy these which are pigmented and easy to blend.

Nice, affordable and great quality

For the price point I wasn't expecting too much but I was blown away over how creamy and blendable these eyeshadows actually were, let alone how pigmented the shades are.

The i Divine palette has a great selection of shade to help achieve a beautiful look, the shades have little to no fall out if you go gently, which is the golden rule, start out slow and build up.

The colours last practically all day unless you touch your eye area a lot then there will be movement, even a decent primer can't hold things on if you rub at it.

There is a huge selection of these palettes in different colour range options and they are so pocket friendly, would recommend for anyone interested in makeup. Almost gave 5 rating but in comparison to my UD palettes it falls a little short which is what I compare most palettes too.

Best Value for Money!

These wee fellas are by far the best quality shadow palettes in their price bracket! I have three (Bad Girl, Vintage Romance and Au Natural) And they are AMAZING, they are heavily pigmented, soft and creamy! They also blend like a dream. I will definitely be pruchasing more!

Tips: Au Natural is a great dupe for those wanting an affordable neutrals palette (In the tone of Naked1/2) Although they are not the same colours as the UD shadows the quality is definitely up there! And for a quarter of the price! I definitely use mine just as much as my UD Palette!

Very nice and balanced eyeshadow palette.

Great for a casual makeup wearer who doesn't want to have to buy more products than absolutely required. For those who like things more complex these eyeshadows blend well and have a great long lasting opacity.

Tips: The Sleek pallets are really good, i own several including one of the sparkle pallets and the mica is very bright and fine and i would definitely purchase them again.

Top 5 drug store make up palette!

We don't have anywhere in my area where you can buy Sleek over the counter and after much contemplation, I decided to go for gold and put in an order through their website. What greeted me was not just a well designed webpage, but a beautiful range of products at extremely affordable prices! I couldn't believe my eyes. Out of my order, which consisted of a few things, the i-Divine Palette impressed me the most. I got it in the Au Natural Palette and I couldn't believe how similar it was to the Naked 1 palette. So similar, that it could pass as a pretty good dupe for it. Furthermore, it's pigmentation and staying power is incredible! My palette collection is growing, but these ones will always be at the forefront, well loved and well used. 10/10!

love my I divine palettes!

I have the I divine palettes in au naturel which a browny/nude palette. And also the oh so special palette. Which is a mix of very wearable browns/blues/and subtle pinks. I actually use these two palettes as my daily staple eyeshadow's. There is a good choice of palettes in the I divine range. Each palette has a varying mix of both matte and shimmer colours. Some have more shimmer colours than others. So if you don't want a lot of shimmer make sure you check up on that. There are two completely matte palette's but i haven't tried those. As with a lot of eyeshadow's the matte shades are not quite as pigmented as the shimmer shades. But I am still more than happy with the colour pay off of both. The palette is thin and compact enough to put in your makeup bag if and it has a large mirror inside the lid to make touch up's on the go really easy. I will definitely be buying more of these. For $20 and all those colour options. What's not to love? I purchased mine from makeup.co.nz. Great service. Fast delivery. I like to support NZ business's as much as possible.

Tips: Ditch the applicator that comes in the palette. These need a semi decent eyeshadow brush for best results.

Affordable Palette

I got Sleeks au naturel palette off their website which made it a very affordable purchase especially because the postage is so cheap!

I found the dark chunkier colours harder to work with and I was disappointed with the black as it wasn't very pigmented and also difficult to work with. The lighter matte shades were great, especially the grey and light yellow which were perfect transition shades and the cream colour was amazing! One of the best cream eye shadows I've tried. Unfortunately I broke it and the palette became less appealing. Overall this is a great palette, very versatile and handy for travel and so affordable. Sleek products in general are definitely worth a try.

Great quality, great price

I bought the Primer Palette, Sunset, Oh So Special and Ultra Mattes V2. They're all of excellent quality and colour payoff but i wasn't expecting them to be quite so shimmery. I've learned to work with that though, and now these are something i alway travel with if i'm packing light.

My favourite palette is Sunset, and while it's made for darker skinned girls i love the super-warm colours in here.

Ultra Mattes is comes in second as it's perfect for days at uni, i wear the beige colour teamed with the darker brown next to it in the crease. It's perfect for a natural look.

The primer palette is alright too. But i haven't found as much use for it. The colour, when applied to the lids, seems a bit inconsistent.

Oh So Special is raved about everywhere and for good reason. That purple colour in the top right is to die for. And the matte black is good to have in anyone's collection.

You need them in your life.

Okay so at the start of last year i went a little sleek crazy and bought 10 palettes..... Yup.... 10 lol And i plan on getting the others too as they come out.

I so far have: Au natural Sunset Storm Bad girl Oh so special Ultra mattes V2 snapshots Respect Acid And the Supreme palette

I love the both shimmery and matte and love the balance of the two kinds in each palette. Of the ones i have i get the least use out of the Acid palette as the colours in this palette are not very wearable. I enjoy using all of the other palettes and even prefer them over some of my higher end palettes like my Smashbox click your it. Love the large range of shades in each palette, makes them incredibly versatile and awesome for travel as you only need to take 1 or 2 to create stunning looks

Tips: Each palette (Most) comes with a matte black shade which i like to apply wet as an eyeliner, the black is sooooo nice and dark it looks better than most of my liquid liners
