I've seen so many good reviews about the Sleek palettes, but I just couldn't see what was so great about them once I purchased my own. I chose the Oh So Special palette and found the matte shadows were quite powdery and all of them had poor pigmentation. Tried with and without an eyelid primer and made no difference. Such a shame since I love the shade range!

Reviews
Drawn to these by the inexpensive price tag, and the rave reviews - I grabbed a few of these palettes to try out. The palettes I have are Vintage Romance, Arabian Nights and Ultra Mates V2. (I also had Garden of Eden but gave that away).
I have very mixed feelings about these palettes. As with most palettes, some shades are amazing, whereas some... aren't. In my opinion, the best palette (with the best colour payoff and pigmentation), is the Arabian Nights palette. Filled with beautiful jewel colours, this is super pigmented and fairly easy to blend out.
The other palettes I have by Sleek vary - some shades are amazing whereas some shades aren't that great at all.
In all honesty, I wouldn't purchase any more eyeshadow palettes by Sleek (although their contouring and highlighting kit is amazing). I think for the price they are definitely worth getting, but I have been spoiled by higher end, better performing shadows and so expect everything to perform like those.
If you're looking for inexpensive, yet (mostly) good quality shadows then these are worth getting to try out.
Tips: Buy these from a NZ retailer - you help support small businesses!
Hate it! I find these to be very chalky, NOT pigmented and cheaply made eye shadows. I had such high hopes as it seems like everyone loves Sleek products but I just do not.
I do not like the formula - it does not feel luxurious and applies poorly. In fairness the eye shadow palettes are very affordable so they are worth purchasing to see if you are a fan or not. The only colour I found very pigmented was the black shade I think it is called Noir. This shade is very VERY black and has amazing staying power.
I also hate the casing as it is matte black and looks super dirty as you can see your finger prints all over it.
Prior to purchasing the iDivine Palette range I had only used Urban Decay and Mac eye shadows so my review may come across a little harsh as the quality is nothing like these. I never ever reach for my Sleek Palettes.
Tips: The colors look beautiful, different and amazing in the palette but once applied a lot of them look the same.
I have the Au Naturel palette and was so excited when i brought it, but i was left disappointed. All the colours look wearable and lovely but half of the matte colours barely show up whilst two of the glittery/metallic colours show up chunky with loads of fall out.
Tips: Defiantly need to use a primer to make these colours show up and last.
I have used 6 different Sleek palettes and they are only okay to me. The mattes are generally really chalky, but they do do some really nice shimmery shades.
Tips: You NEED to use an eyeshadow primer with these eyeshadows, if you don't the colours will barely show up and they will look extra chalky. With a primer, you can get an average - good coverage out of the shadows depending on the shade and formula.
I wanted to love this sleek palette (I have Oh so special) but I just found myself never really reaching for it.
There are some awesome colours like Noir (matte) Celebrate (shimmer) and gift basket (shimmer) but in general I found the colours just didn't really suit me, especially the quite pink toned ones. I am pale with blonde hair so that could have something to do with it. I also found some of the colours a bit chalky and the shimmers actually applied stronger if you used your finger instead of a brush.
In terms of the packaging it is pretty 'sleek' but is made of similar material to NARS products so it gets dirty pretty quick. Also the clasp to close the palette could be a bit tricky to open and close which I found really annoying. I wish this palette came with a brush instead of those horrible foam applicators.
Overall I think this is a good palette if you are looking for something more affordable with a range of colours, mattes and shimmers. But if you are pale it may pay to go with one of the other Sleek palettes with a more suitable colour range. I will be looking to try a different one sometime soon!
Tips: Use a primer to intensify the shadow colours and make them stay on longer.
I have four of these palettes - Bad Girl, Vintage Romance, Garden of Eden and Supreme - and overall they're ok. On one hand Vintage Romance is fantastic all round with the majority of shades being pigmented and blend-able, but then you have Supreme which is an all round fail with dry, chalky un-pigmented shades. The matte black palette builds are great for the price and I love the huge mirror that takes up the whole lid :) but the pans themselves were smaller than I thought at 21mm. Overall I would recommend googling reviews/swatches first before deciding which one to buy as there are some duds in the range.
I have only used this palette once and will most likely never use it again... The colour range of this palette is quite nice but something I have now realised is that Im more into my warmer toned eyeshadows and this palette seems to be more on the cool toned side. In this palette you get 4 shimmer shades and 8 matte shades, the mattes lack pigment except for the black shade and I find them very hard to build up on my eyelids and blend out however the shimmery shades are reasonably pigmented and the shades of them are gorgeous! I dont know if I just got a bad batch or what as it seems there are a lot of good reviews on these palettes?!
I got Sleeks au naturel palette off their website which made it a very affordable purchase especially because the postage is so cheap!
I found the dark chunkier colours harder to work with and I was disappointed with the black as it wasn't very pigmented and also difficult to work with. The lighter matte shades were great, especially the grey and light yellow which were perfect transition shades and the cream colour was amazing! One of the best cream eye shadows I've tried. Unfortunately I broke it and the palette became less appealing. Overall this is a great palette, very versatile and handy for travel and so affordable. Sleek products in general are definitely worth a try.
I honestly didn't get the hype over these palettes. I purchased Au Naturel and Oh SO Special and I really didn't think they were that fantastic, the pigmentation was lacking for me and the shimmery shades were hard. I love Sleek's other products but these just didn't do it for me, I never reached for them and they've sat unused for a long time. I would rather recommend Coastal Scents Hot Pots.
