I'm very much a user of brushes to apply my makeup and had been wanting to try a sponge like a beauty blender for a long while. So, it was time to invest in one!
When in Mecca, shopping for makeup the assistant recommended this sponge - so, I couldn't wait to try it out.
Firstly, it was packaged in plastic and already liking Stila as a brand (due to the amazing foundation that is now my holy grail) I thought this would be a good starting point, and also it was reasonably priced at about $20.
The sponge has a nice texture and felt comfortable against my sensitive skin. The technique I used was dotting the foundation over my face and using the sponge to blend/ buff it in.
It's great how it's double ended, the rounded tip I use for most of my face, and the pointed tip I use it to buff in smaller areas, like around my nose.
Overall, I really like this sponge - it gives s nice flawless finish and it's good quality for the price.
no way as good as the original beauty blender. This Stila blender is hard to wash and doesn't last long until the sponge starts to disintegrate. the bottom part of the blender is the most useful for full face blending but the tipped end is shaped too large to really be able to blend in the far corners of eyes. only positive is that the shape is good for being able to hold while blending as it fits hand shape.
