Stila All Over Shimmer Duo Review

This is one of my favourite highlighters!! I love the duo because you can use one colour or my favourite use them both and it creates a beautiful highlight colour! A perfect glow which I like to use on my cheekbones and my cupids bow and the tip of my nose for a beautiful highlight! would definitely recommend to a friend :)

I love Stila and especially love this duo! Both shades are very flattering and leave a lovely sheen on cheekbones, top of the nose and cupids bow. I also use this product as a highlighting shade in eye-looks by dabbing a small amount in the corners of my eyes and on the brow bone. Gorgeous packaging! It is worth the $35 especially compared to higher end makeup brands versions of highlighters. A must have for any makeup kit

The Stila All Over Shimmer Duo is a beautiful, underrated highlighter. The packaging isn't particularly exciting or luxurious - an apricot coloured plastic compact with a small mirror. However, tucked inside are two soft, gold toned highlight shades. One is a lighter, pinker shade, whilst the other is a deeper, bronze shade. Both have an incredibly finely milled golden shimmer running through them. This is certainly shimmer rather than glitter, which is exactly what I want from a highlighter. These shades look a little more similar on the skin than they do in the pan, and complement each other perfectly. I will often mix them together, or just reach for the bronze shade if I'm wanting a bronzed, glowing look.

This is the most buttery formula I have come across, making the highlight glide over and melt into the skin. Rather than a strip of highlight sitting on the cheekbones, this product blends into the skin, resulting in a natural but oh-so-magic glow.

This is a very versatile product and could be used as a highlight for any area of the face, as well as an eyeshadow or light bronzer. For a luxurious, high end product, $32.00 is an absolute bargain.

For those who are deciding between highlighters, I personally prefer this product over The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer and the Hourglass Ambient lighting palette (although I still love both of these products). The Mary Lou-Manizer is much more golden/yellow and unnatural, and the Stila All Over Shimmer Duo gives more impact than the Hourglass palette, whilst still appearing natural.

The only downside to this product is it's durability. The packaging and compact aren't particularly sturdy, and I imagine it would shatter very easily. I don't take this product with me when I'm travelling, and I'm very careful with how it is stored. I've hardly made a dent in this product but if I ever run out, I won't hesitate to repurchase.

This is the most beautiful highlighter - it just makes your skin look absolutely glowy and FLAWLESS. I use this not only as a traditional highlighter, but sometimes I put it literally all over my face and it still looks natural and perfect. It's incredible. It's reasonably affordable - considering it's a high end product. It suits every skin tone, if you're in the market for a perfect highlighter - definitely try this!

So beautiful it's nice and smooth never looks chunky makes me feel like a Victoria secret model I do across my up cheeks down my nose and my cuspids bow love it !!!

I'm in love with this. It's been a long time since I could say that about a makeup. But it really is great and worth every penny because it is sooo versatile. I use it on my cheeks and as an eye shadow. It's not too shimmery, but gives a gorgeous glow. I can use it as a bronzer (alone) or add a bit powder blush. I don't use an eyelid primer and this never creases. It lasts all day on my checks too, I mean all day, I never need a touch up. I bought two, that's how much I love it.

I finally gave into the hype and purchased the shimmer duo. It quickly became my HG highlighter. The light shade was perfect for highlighting the tops of my cheek bones and the bridge of my nose while the darker side made for a gorgeous eyeshadow. The powder is buttery smooth and surprisingly pigmented. I used this with my sigma tapered highlighter brush and adored the look it gave my skin.

However... I accidentally dropped it off my bed one day and the whole light side shattered while the dark side stayed in tact. I'm giving it a slightly lower score as I feel the compact should be able to take a few knocks without completely ruining the product. I'm considering buying a replacement but my local mecca is all sold out so i'm going to try out a few different ones in the meantime

Overall great product but flimsy packaging.

I think the hype kind of gave me too high expectations for this highlighter. Everyone has been raving about Kitten for a while now and while I do like it, I wouldn't say its my favourite.

It has a gorgeous shimmery pink tone to it. Kind of similar to High Beam's shade. I don't use the darker powder in the duo but I'm really keen to try the liquid form of kitten. I suppose it will be very similar to high beam.

It applies really nicely as a fine powder, less grainy and sparkly than Soft and Gentle.

I think I'd recommend this over S&G for a first time highlighter user as its hard to over do it with this powder.

Its not my favourite because I adore a bright highlight and its just a tad too subtle for me. Still a good product though!!

I succumbed to the hype and brought Still Kitten Shimmer Duo and I love it! It so pretty in its packaging, I sat and looked at it for ages! It has a really nice fine texture and the shimmer is stunning, I have used the pale side as an all over eyeshadow and teamed it with Buck from the Naked palette forms subtle day time look , today I mixed the dark and light side together and used it as a blush, it laws great, looked like I had put heaps of effort into my makeup and in fact I was running late. It blends beautifully and I think I will be reaching for it regularly

It looks stunning when applied with minimal amounts, but also looks fab with alot while clubbing. It lasts a long time aswell
