Should of spent the extra cash

I bought this because it looked pretty similar to UD ultimate basics. I should of spent the extra money and bought that instead. A lot of the darker colours are patchy to apply and then blend out to a murky grey/brown colour (including the purple and dark red shades). The lighter colours are very meh and look crepey on the eyelids. Overall the formula is really dry and dusty which is disappointing because you can get better mattes from other brands for cheaper than this. The pigmentation is also lacking. Overall would not recommend.

Tips: Give this one a miss and if you want to try Stila eyeshadows then pick up kitten instead, it's a cult shade for a reason.

A Well Known OG

One of the original well known matte eyeshadow palettes. Stila had a really nice creamy formula for their matte eyeshadows that doesn't look chalky on the skin and was opaque so it gave good colour pay off.

I used to love using the colours in Mind for soft everyday looks and if I wanted a little more depth I would add some of the shimmery tones in from the Soul palette.

The palettes are easy to travel with in sturdy packaging and look very simple and modern on the outside.

Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette

This is my new favourite eye shadow palette. There are a gorgeous selection of matte and glitter warm brown and gold shades providing for endless variety and fun.

For the day time I use one of the far left pale shades on the inner corner and then one of the middle shades as a lid colour. The shades on the far right side of the palette are really dramatic and perfect for an evening smoky eye.

I love that there is little fallout from these shades because often with glittery eye shadows they create a real mess. This means that I can apply my foundation prior to doing my eye makeup (the order that I much prefer).

Tips: Use a good firm eye shadow brush for ease of application and for blending. For the shades on the far right of the palette and the middle shades, apply with a gentle hand as they are richly pigmented and a little goes a long way.
