I got mine in a exposed. I love the colour as it super natural and matte. It applies very evenly without looking muddy or patchy. My only issue is I that as I swirl my brush the pan spins around (as its magnetic and made to be be refilled.) because of this I swipe sideways which means I will hit the pan before the sides. I get about 89 hours of colour from this.

Tips: I find this goes on with a synthetic brush as opposed to natural fibers. My goat hair brushes just dont seem to grab enough product.
Well, who hasn't heard of these amazing blushes? Well.. me! When i first got into beauty about a year ago, these blushes weren't even on my radar, i had never heard about them. But the more i started reading blogs, and watching vlogs.. it seemed like this blush was all the rage! So... as a beauty addict, i had to try this blush, just to see if it as good as everyone says.
Firstly, i love the packaging of these blushes. They are really simple. I have the colour blushing Bride, and it comes in a plastic pink compact, which has 'Tarte' in embossed gold print on the lid. This flip open to reveal a mirror, and the pan of the product. The reason why i love this packaging is because the compact has a small hole at the bottom, where you can use a pin to pop the pan out of the packaging, and then stick it in something like a z-pallete, so easy to take this blush with you everywhere.
This blush pan is so pretty. Its a beautiful mauve pinky-purple, and is imprinted with a beautiful design which really is iconic to Tarte, and a similar design to what a lot of their packaging is decorated with. It sort of looks like an imprint of leaves or something.
This blush is pretty (like i have said a million times already). It silky smooth, but slightly chalky. I know that sounds bad, but the blush is also pigmented like you wouldn't believe. In saying that, it is quite a hard blush and i really have to swirl my brush around into this pan to pick up product (I use a natural brush, Mac 129), which could be part of the issue.
However, once the blush is on your face, It blends like a dream, and it seriously lasts all day! I do like this blush, but I just don't love it, and I am not 100% that its worth the price tag.
I finally have a product from Tarte, yay! I've read great reviews about this blush so it was no brainer to get one of these as my first product by Tarte.
I got the shade "Insightful" which is a soft nude pink shade which looks really natural on my skin, it's not too pinky or too rosy, looks just right. I like that I don't need to use a lot of this product, a soft dab with my brush is all that's needed to get the right amount. It applies really easy, and you can easily build it up too. Definitely want to get more! And try some different shade.
Downfalls? I didn't find this lasts 12 hours at all like it states, by the end of the day I feel like I need to reapply for sure (if I were going somewhere straight after work). I find it fades away in a few hours. Also my product lid broke very quickly too from just placing it in with my other makeup products, the little screws came loose - still have the lid but it doesn't work, I just sit it on there to stop dirt getting in.
I have a tarte blush in Dollface, it's this amazing baby pink shade that I love to wear in the summer. It's matte and really pigmented. The packaging on these blushes is the best I've ever seen. It's super cute and the colour of each blush is the colour of its packaging, so if you have heaps of them you always know what you're reaching for, I like to apply mine with a duo fiber brush so I don't get too much pigment. There are so many shades in this line, with some of them being bright, and others neutral and great for everyday wear. I'm not too sure about the 12 hour wear claim, but i have noticed that it lasts a lot longer than all my other blushes. They're super expensive which sucks because I'd really like to try more colours.
I actually got this in a wee Tarte kit I picked up at Sephora in Sydney with a mini mascara (terrible) and lipstick (nice, wasn't my colour at the time, gave it to Mum, now wish I'd kept it ;) )
I have a 1.5g size of the shade 'unstoppable' - kind of a pinky terracotta shade. I wear it when I do more neutral makeup, and have barely scratched the surface so far.
Colour payoff is quite subtle initially, but can build. Wearability is good, and it's a lovely, blendable fine mill. It seems to be vaguely scented, but I'm not sure what with - pleasant though.
Removal is simple with your usual method - it doesn't leave a stain.
Would I have bought it? Probably not, but i'm suing it more and more
Tips: If you're near a Sephora the kit I got was only about $20; well worth it.
My hubby picked this up for me in a gift set in Las Vegas and I couldn’t wait to try out my first ever Tarte product. It is exactly the same as this blush just a smaller version. The set that came with a mini mascara is now available through Sephora NZ for $17 great value for two items. It is a stunning coral colour but warmer than any other peach shades I have come across. I literally just swept my brush over and it really did pick up quite a bit of product so I see this lasting for a while. I have quite pale skin and this looked so natural and didn’t accentuate the redness around my cheeks which I have found some peachy tones can do. It lasts all day and because it is a more sheer blush can be built up for a more dramatic look or a darker skin tone. I’ve found a light hand good for my pale skin. I will definitely be purchasing this again although for the larger size I think it’s around $45 so may order another gift set before they sell out. I definitely recommend this blush and am keen to try other shades.
I recently picked this up from a friend from on BR. I picked up the shade amour which is a beautiful brighter pink with sparkle in it. This is in a smaller size of 1.5g compared to the usual 6g size and was originally part of the Chic to Cheek Amazonian Clay Blush set.
From what I have read online the packaging of this is very similar to the full size it is just missing the mirror in the lid. I'm not actually a fan of the mirrors in palettes anyway as I never use them. The packaging is in the same shade as the blush itself which is great. Although the whole packaging is plastic it doesn't feel cheap. But I also like that there isn't any excess packaging, the packaging is just enough for the blush. Means it is great for travelling.
The product is incredibly pigmented! The first time I used this I added far too much product. So make sure that you are light handed with this! It leaves a lovely finish on the skin. Very impressed. The wear time on this is pretty good, it is faded by the end of my work day but not completely gone. I don't think this lives up to its 12hr claim though. If I was the type of person to reapply makeup the packaging of this is great to take with you.
I am seriously tempted to buy some more of these gorgeous blushes as there are some really lovely shades!
One of my purchases when I bankrupted myself at Sephora inside South Coast Plaza. I only purchased this blush because of it's cult following and decided to see if this would be worth the money and it is.
There is a slight shimmer to this shade (Dazzled), which gives me a healthy glow. It's a smooth blush and isn't very powdery and goes on the skin quite nicely. Dazzled is ideal if you have cool undertones. It's a perfect rose-pink and very natural looking.
As an aside from the Dazzled shade, I was lucky enough to be given the Chic to Cheek Christmas 2014 gift set and the colours in that were two colours that I normally wouldn't wear, but I absolutely love and wear just as well as the permanent line blushes.
I'm not sure I could say that I get 12 hours of wear, I definitely get 8 hours. If I can't decide on a blush, this is my go to!
I have this in the shade "First Class". It's a lovely feeling formula and is quite buildable on the skin so it's difficult to overapply and look crazy haha. I find the shade to be quite a natural one, in that it doesn't look like I'm wearing some strange colour on my skin. If that makes sense? I'm not sure if it lasts 12 hours like it claims because I only put a small amount on just for a light flush of colour. I'm sure if I wore it a bit more boldly, it would last longer.
Tips: Depending on the kind of brush you use, it can take a little while to build up the pigmentation. So just keep at it until you reach the desired intensity.
I bought this shade because it's classified as a 'coral' colour on Tarte's website and the swatches online seemed quite promising.
I'm disappointed because I found that it's more pink than coral. I would have expected atleast a hint of orange but it's just pink on my skin (MAC NC42-44).
I've been using it over a couple of months and it's a tad annoying having to use a lot of product just to get a decent colour pay off. My first swipe of colour across the cheeks is almost non-existent but by swipe number 4 I'm good to go. It doesn't last long on me, probably 4-5 hours with primer and setting spray (note: I have oily skin).
The packaging looks great online but it's just a colourful piece of cheap plastic but a nice change from the black compacts. I will not be repurchasing this item and would probably only recommend the shade Tipsy for those lighter than MAC NC42-44 who don't mind a flush of pink and paying US$26 (approximately NZ$34 at time of purchase using Shipito).
