I used to use a brush to put my foundation on but this left my foundation streaky. I now use a beauty blender and get a much more even, smooth coverage. I have tried cheap knock offs but they aren’t as good. They tend to be more dense and absorb a lot more foundation than what makes it on to your skin. The pointed end also allows you to get into the little corners around your eyes. A++ from me.

I love the beauty blender it is one of the most loved products to use for applying almost any makeup product. I found that the beauty blender left my foundation, concealer, and powders looking so effortless it made my makeup look photo shopped.
Tips: Wet it and squeeze out excess water once it damp start applying your makeup with it. It isn't that easy and you don't get great results if it isn't damp. Also making sure to clean it regularly.
When I first used this I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about as I didn't realise i was meant to wet it first to soften it. After my daughter had finished laughing at me she explained how to use it properly and I was smitten. I have noticed it smells a bit funky if you don't wash it regularly, good idea to replace every month. I like the tear drop shape and the tip gets the foundation into the corners of my eyes and creases of my nose easily.
Tips: Keep it damp, its hard to use and doesn't blend your foundation when it is dry, wash regularly and throw out after a month for hygiene reasons
How did I ever live without one of these? I use this for applying all my liquid foundations AND I use it for applying my translucent powder. I don't have any favourite colour, but I'm a sucker for pink. 99% of the time, I can bounce this to get a flawless finish. If it starts leaving marks, its time to clean. I do religiously replace mine every three months, which is the exact amount of time a bottle of foundation lasts me. Cleaning is a bit of a pain in the backside, but who likes cleaning makeup brushes and sponges anyway?!
Tips: One tool - many uses. How many tools can do your foundation, concealer, powder and cream blusher/highlighter? Only one. This one.
For any makeup lover, be they a pro or beginner, or a seasoned expert. I have these in abundance, for personal and professional use.
The original beauty blender in pink is my favourite as it swells up to almost 3 times it's size when soaked in water, which is the best way to use it, damp for a variety of applications from applying foundation for a seamless looks, applying setting powder to target areas and for controlling cream products when applied to the face, the blender does so much that a brush can not.
Have half a dozen pink ones, a couple of blacks and a nude one, each is great and can be used over and over again if stored and cleaned properly, think I have a couple that is coming a year old now, but they are as pristine as the day I bought them.
This beauty blender is amazing! It makes my morning routine so much quicker and faster, as well as giving my face a smoother look. The only problem that I had is that the colour came off of the container and won't come out of the beauty blender, but this is probably my fault rather than the product...
Okay so I first got this state side. But I kept thinking $20 for a SPONGE? Like it can't be worth that. It's a freaken sponge.
Well now I know what all my fav youtube gurus keep going on about. This applies my makeup flawlessly. I actually rarely wear foundation but when I do I want to look like it's my skin but better.
This allows me to sheer it out but get an even coverage. I always look flawless when I use this. The bouncing technique takes some getting used to but once you do you'll be left with lovely skin.
Just to show that it isn't the foundation i've actually tested it with both high end and my drugstore foundation and they both end up looking amazing.
Tips: Cleaning it! I use an oil cleanser first to get those really stubborn makeup stains out then another cleanse with normal shampoo. Just like your face you gotta double cleanse your brushes and sponges!
I love this beauty blender! It works exactly as promised and the container it comes it works great as a holder when its been expanded and wet and once its dry it just falls back into its container. I love how the round bottom is great for my foundation and then the point isnt too flimsy that it works in my concealer under my eyes and around my nose flawlessly!
Tips: Keep the container! It doubles as a stand.
I've always adored the concept of the Beautyblender, and after buying (and completely falling in love with) the XOBeauty Flawless Finish Sponge which was a much cheaper alternative, I was even more excited to finally try the Original Beautyblender.
Unfortunately, it was a bit of a let down by comparison - I found it far too soft and pliant. It was so soft that it didn't really 'bounce' on my face the way people talk about, and didn't really seem to 'smoosh' the product in the way I'm used to.
Personally, I found the firmer, bouncier version by XOBeauty to be much more effective at properly blending foundation into an airbrushed finish, and I'll be sticking with that one over the Beautyblender.
I got this in one of the BBBEs or vault ages ago and I LOVE it. I use it every day to apply both tinted foundation and/ or ordinary foundation.
It is a gorgeous bright pink for starters, and firm and easy to hold with slipping.
I apply my product by dabbing it around my face then rub around to spread it. Then I roll the blender all over my face to even out the product. I really love the finished result - smooth, even, and no little leftover blobs of product!
I wouldn't be without one now! I highly recommend them.
