Thin Lizzy 6 in 1

I absolutely love Thin Lizzy 6 in 1. I have never liked wearing too much make up and Thin Lizzy is one that I can wear everyday. It gives my skin a refreshing glow and depending on how much I want to use I can be ready for work or a formal. It definitely doesnt do what the ad suggests it does but if I need to cover up, I just wear a concealer and then give a light brushing of Thin Lizzy 6 in 1 so I still get the bronze glow. The only problem is that it can give your skin an orange tint and I found this the first few times I used it but once I learnt how much I can have on my skin, I havnt had this problem since. Definitely recommend!

Okay

I use thin lizzy's occasionally for quick & light makeup when i can't be bothered doing a proper job. I find It good for a bit of color and dimension applied over a BB cream to the cheek bones & eye lids and finishing with a light coat of mascara for a minimalist look. I don't love it i don't hate it and probably wouldn't buy it again, the only reason i have it now is because it was given to me. This product is way overrated, made out to be a miracle worker in advertising but really it's just okay.

Tips: Apply sparingly

It's alright for what it is

I've used Thin Lizzy for quite a while now and it took me a wee while to finally figure out what works for me.

I'm fairly sure that they've changed the formulation or there is some variation in the lighter shade as I used to be able to use it as the foundation that they do in the ad. If I try that now, I just look orange. The way I use it now is as a light "dusting/buffing" (almost, can't really think of the best way to describe it) over a good primer on my "lazy" makeup days. I'll use it a bronzer/contour on my days when I get up early enough to do a proper full face of makeup (primer, concealer, liquid foundation, bronzer, blusher etc. etc.) The one thing to remember is that less is most DEFINITELY more. There is definitely a very fine line between looking like you've got a bit of colour and looking like a cheeto with Thin Lizzy. If possible, apply when you've got access to some natural lighting. I can't tell you the amount of times when I've looked awesome in my bathroom mirror and I look like an orange outside. *sadface*

The lipgloss is a fairly horrible consistency. It's thick, goopy and generally unpleasant to put on. Don't even think about having your hair down around your face if you have the lipgloss on otherwise you'll be pulling hair out of your mouth for hours.

The eyeliner really isn't too bad. It smudges very easily so you can make quite a good smoky eye but you need a way to get it set properly (which I haven't yet figured out or learnt how to do).

I liked the old thin lizzy

They change thin lizzy so much, i used to use thin lizzy years ago it was really nice now the light powder is really orange and dark, hate the lipgloss its so thick and sticky and my hair stuck to my lips so much was so annoying, even when you rub it off it still has a sticky residue, i liked how dark the liner was but it wodnt stay on my waterline, at the end of the day i had black liner under my eyes? Would not buy again horrible product

Thin Lizzy

This was actually my very first powder foundation actually first ever foundation.. I had the mineral one in the light shade..so the pink compact. So I used this one and I also bought the "buy one and get another free" 6 in 1 pack retail price of 49.99..that came with the eyeliner and lip gloss. I loved that it gave my face a lil glow which is to be expected from a mineral foundation it didnt clog my pores which was a bonus because of my oily skin but now many years later and 100 different types of foundations used I use thin lizzy as more of a bronzer, so I wouldnt buy this product again only because I like using liquid foundation. the lip gloss is very thick..i think the only positive thing about the lip gloss is that it really is long lasting only way it really came of was if you had makeup remover..loved the two sided eyeliner brown and black, it came with a sharpener which was handy..good product but not my first choice anymore..

False advertising?

This set is just not worth buying. From watching the adds where this powder provides full coverage to actually trying it is a huge let down. This product does not cover blemishes, dark circles etc. I used it as a bronzer for awhile but found that sometimes it ended up looking really patchy, not what I was going for. This product also has to be used really lightly or you end up going completely orange.

The lipgloss is waaay to sticky for my liking and smells odd, was not at all to my taste!

The eye pencils are alright I often used it when travelling as it has brown and black in one pencil. They are not the easiest of eye pencils to use though but probably the best part of the set.

Mehh...

This was a waste of money. I find that the colour does not match me.. 6 in one is like 6 shades of patchy.. I have quite fair skin so maybe that's why? I found it to be very light coverage and not long wearing really at all.

Doesn't Really Work For Me

This is an alright powder but it didn't work for me. They only have 2 shades, the darker one is too dark for me and the lighter one doesn't provide any coverage, it also made me break out slightly. The lip gloss is way too sticky so my hair always stick to it. The eyeliner is the highlight of this set which I use as an everyday eyeliner on my water line but it run smudge down to my under eye sometimes.

Tips: Before applying powder you should moisturize and before applying eyeliner to your waterline you should wipe it clean with a cotton but as drys the waterline and makes the eyeliner stay on longer.

Thin Lizzy

This is one of my first face powders that I have ever used. I got it as a gift from family. Thin Lizzy is wellknown for its compact powders through advertisement on tv.

The Compact that I got given came in a tin with lip gloss and a powder brush. The compact is round with the powder pressed inside of it.

The compact itself is easy to open and close. It had no scent at all. Your tyical powder texture. It was a powdery finish. On application to my face powder did feel smooth.

The brush that came with it did loose its bristles over time. The gloss that came with it was in a see through tube. It was very sticky and gooey on application.

I think thin lizzy is always great for first time make up users who want to wear minimal make up. Unfortunately for me it didnt have lasting power and every time I tried contouring it would look orangey.

My results were very powdery. It wasn't for me but I would definately for girls trying make up out.
