I haven't used this product for a couple of years now, but to the best of my knowledge, it hasn't really changed. I have quite fair skin and usually use liquid/cream foundations with light coverage, but decided to give this a go when they were running a 2 for 1 deal. I definitely wouldn't recommend it as a foundation - the product was far too orange for me, and I found it difficult to get natural looking coverage. As a bronzer, it applied quite nicely, but given the price, I'd rather just buy another brand of bronzer.

Tips: Use as a bronzer, and apply with a light hand if you prefer a more 'natural' look.
I managed to score some free Thin Lizzy 6 in 1 (Light Shade) at the Women's Expo here in Wellington along with eye line, lipgloss and some of their mineral foundation. Very heavily marketed, the goodies came with a small DVD, brushes galore and plenty of advertising. Pity that the product didn't live up to the hype. It's heavily pigmented and while it would work well as a bronzer, as a foundation it makes you look like you've spent too long under an orange sun lamp - a look reminescent of the fake orange tans sported by many young women in the USA. It's hideous and not worth the money (thankfully I was lucky not to have spent my hard earned cash on it). The brushes are poor quality and constantly shed hair when you try and apply the product. On a plus note I did manage to get my hands on some of their concealer which is the perfect tone for my skin (Pacific Sun) and works brilliantly under my Estee Lauder foundation.
Tips: Just don't bother with it.....
I wasnt not overly fond of this product, mainly because it can get plotchey fast specially if you use it as a blusher.
I received this from my mother in law and thought I'd give it a try on my pasty pale skin. I started by doing a bit of contouring on my face and found it went on a little too dark and too orange. However, with a gentle touch and a lot of blending, it looks better. I can't imagine using it for anything else other than on my cheeks, and even then not regularly.
Tips: Use a blending brush for better results
Does well for a bronzer but I don't entirely agree that it can do the other 5 it states to. Not very good coverage, too orange looking. I would prefer to use a normal foundation and have a separate bronzer rather than this product.
Thin lizzy was deefinately nothing like I expected.. it didn't cover my blemishes like it did on the ads. I felt it was a waste of money and I would only recommend it to somebody that had flawless skin. I tried using a conceler underneath which made the thin lizzy worse as it started to go patchy. not good.
Tips: Don't buy it.
I've had thin lizzy for around...4 years? I don't even know. The fact you get 2 compacts means it lasts forever. I've tried it for all it claims to be good for, and the only thing it's even remotely good for is to use as a bronzer/contouring, but with a very light hand. If you go too hard out..it goes orange. It's easier to start with a little and blend. The lip gloss is rubbish, and the eyeliner was also rubbish. I'd never use this all over my face like the ad suggest.
Hugely over rated.. Doesnt last long and half the time ya end up looking like you have a bad patchy tan
I've brought this a couple of times and really it doesn't do what it claims. It's expensive for what it is and not very natural looking - way too orange. I realised how bad this bronzer was when I brought NARS bronzer and compared the two. NARs is amazing and so natural! Thin Lizzy is terrible in comparison!
I got this years when I was being bombarded by advertising for it. I was so disappointed as it was way too orange for me and did not do what it said it would. I gave it to my Mum (who has darker skin than me) and she quite liked it as a bronzer on top of her foundation. Would not recommend. I agree about it being very expensive for what it is as well!
Tips: Beware if you have pale skin!!
