Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review

I was really excited to try this and absolutely loved the packaging and the tube it comes in, however, that's where my love for it faded.

I had to remove a lot of product before application, I did love the brush design and have since purchased a mascara with a similar brush.

The initial reaction was great, rich black colour and elevated my eyelashes nicely, however, over the course of the day it constantly flaked causing irritation to my eyes.

I was extremely disappointed and while I tried to use as much of the mascara as I could, it had to be in short bursts to avoid the flakiness.

I'm sad to say I can't recommend this product but may try it again one day (just in case it was a dud batch).

After purchasing this I wasnt sure what to expect but I like it more than any other mascaras ive tried, it makes my lashes fuller and longer but it made them a tad clumpy which was sad but all in all a good mascara, just need to know how to apply the thick consistency.

This is an amazing mascara. The formula is really thick but I actually like it because it leaves your lashes so thick and voluminous. The packaging is really pretty and I like the wand as well. Although it is on the pricier side it's definitely worth your money

I picked this up on a recent trip to Hawaii as I'd heard nothing but good things, and I'm always up for trying anything that promises to make my lashes look big and luscious!

I love the pink packaging, it's super girly, but it's a huge tube compared to standard mascaras. It has a natural bristle brush, which I prefer, but it's huuuge, or perhaps I have tiny eyes, which makes it hard to get to the inner and outer lashes. Moral of the story - everything about this mascara is big.

The formula is wet, very wet, which for me means that it applies way too much product and clumps my lashes together. It also left blobs of mascara on my lashes that I'd have to go in and remove. I'd end up with big thick lashes, but it'd look like I only had 10 lashes per eye because it was so clumpy. I left it a couple weeks to see if it'd dry out a little, to no avail.

It also transferred on to my eyelid/brow area which is a pet peeve, I don't want to be having to check my mirror constantly to wipe off the transferred product. I never attempted to use it on my bottom lashes as the brush was so huge, it was never a possibility, but I know it would have transferred there as well. This was a big fail for me unfortunately, I will be sticking with my tried and true mascaras!

This product was a bit of a disappointment to me. I love the packaging, the metallic pink is quite pretty. Unfortunately after a few uses the mascara became clumpy and I had to apply it several times before I reached the thickness I desired. The black shade is a nice one but the texture of the product is not my favorite and certainly not better than sex.

This mascara has been incredibly hyped up, so after seeing people raving about it all over Instagram, I decided to sneak it into my BeautyLish order. It arrived as glamorous as always with Too Faced - the packaging is fun, girly and high quality. This mascara is in a heavy (and huge) metallic pink tube with a large, hourglass shaped brush.

Unfortunately, this was where my excitement ended. The brush is far too large for my average sized eyes, making it difficult to get in close to the lashes to create length. It is not suitable for bottom lashes and it was rather tricky to avoid a mess. Adding to the difficulty of application is the formula, which is incredibly wet. I know us girls are hard to please, as we don't want a mascara that dries out quickly, but with such a large brush and an almost dripping formula, only the very skilled and patient would be capable of getting Better Than Sex results from this mascara. The end result was minimal length and clumping. I always resorted to using a separate mascara brush to finish off my lashes.

Formula has never been an issue for me with mascaras. I have never had a mascara transfer, smudge or run, and I have never seen my mascara anywhere other than my lashes. However, this mascara flaked off onto my cheeks when applying, as well as during the day. It smudged underneath my lower lashes, and ended up a mess when I sneezed. I occasionally get slight allergies, which has never caused issues with mascara, but on one particular day I ended up with black smudges all over the tops of my cheeks.

For a high end, hyped up mascara I was disappointed. I will not be repurchasing this mascara, and I do not recommend it.

I purchased this mascara about a month ago and have struggled to give myself rest days and not wear it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY since I opened it. First off is the packaging, I love it. Its quite a long metal tube with the writing embossed on and it's a beautiful colour and has a lovely feel to it. The mascara wand is weighted so I think this may contribute to why I've been finding it easier to apply. The brush itself is nothing terribly different to others I've seen before but the results I get from it are. Unlike most other mascaras where I need a couple of weeks to wait for them to dry out a bit and for me to get used to them this one was a winner from day one. The formula is not too sticky or wet and goes on perfectly without clumping my lashes or leaving big clumpy bits sitting on them. I get near enough to perfectly coated individual long lovely lashes from two coats of this mascara. I do find because the brush is quite big I do tend to get a bit of product up on my upper eyelids but I do also have quite long eyelashes so thats hard to avoid usually anyway. Some days I am left with a little bit of flaking or transference to the under eye area but it doesn't happen often and is usually when I've put it on first thing and haven't taken it off until around midnight. I have already posted a picture of my lashes using this mascara on the photo wall. Stalk me through my profile and maybe you'll be able to find it :D This is a fantastic mascara probably in in top two ever and I think I may miss it when I'm getting through the other three I have waiting to be used after this one's finished.

After watching a lot of youtube and seeing so many people rave about this I decided I needed to try it

I bought a deluxe sample size before I made the commitment to a big one.

The packaging is beautiful with a light pink metal and the name embossed on. the brush is pretty ginormous, I managed with this ok but it took some practise and lots of mascara all over my face.

this is a very black mascara which I love, its runnyish which doesn't help with the big brush but it does enable you to be able to do multiple coats.

I love the look of my lashes with this mascara, they become out of this world, with just one coat or 3. it does tend to be a bit clumpy but i don't mind that so much, after 3 coats my lashes no joke nearly touch my eyebrows and look full and lucsious.

unfortunately, this does irrritate my eyes a little (my eyes are a bit sensitive) so they burn a little only after wearing for a and hour or 2, I also get a lot of fall out from it, no matter how many coats I wear. being the small deluxe size to I found that the mascara in the tube dried out very quickly.

I guess all in all I have a love/hate relationship with this mascara, I probably would not invest in a large size of it but probably would repurchase a small tube, my lashes look amazing but it doesn't out way the fall out and burning eyes
