I bought this bronzer thanks to the great reviews of fellow fair skinned beauties Elena and Chikoboo. Its hard to find the right kind of bronzer for my super fair skin. I dont tan up over summer without some serious concentrated efforts which I dont do (i've grown to love my fair skin).
Packaging wise I absolutely love this. This comes in a gold compact with embossing on the top and a mirror on the inside of the compact.
This has four different strips of colour a white colour that swatches to a cool silvery/white luminescent shade , quite a soft fresh glow. A darker bronze colour that swatches to a warm goldy bronze shade again a very luminous shade. A pink shade which swatches to a warm goldy pink colour and a honey champagne colour which swatches to a more goldy colour with a bit more of an obvious glittery look to it.
I decided to use this primarily on my cheek bones a little on my nose, chin , forehead places the sun would possibly hit. I applied this using my real techniques buffing brush as it disperses a bit more rather than as concentrated as my contour brush. I swirled over all four colours and applied gently in circular motions. Product was easily picked up on the brush and didnt make a mess. It was soft, velvety and applied to the skin really nicely. The combination of the four gave my skin a nice healthy shimmery glow. This has great pigment but has very soft colours so its perfect for the fair complexion like myself when normal bronzers are just never right.
I absolutely love this bronzer and it has quickly become a staple in my everyday routine. Because its so gentle and not in your face I give my whole face a light dusting with this to give it a bit of oomph :). Would highly recommend to the fair skinned among us.
I’m not going to lie, this bronzer was not made for dark skin. And to be honest, I had a feeling that would be the case before I brought it, however I was convinced I could make it work and was lucky enough when I was gifted this as part of a palette, and then I have also recently brought this in the too faced bronzer wardrobe palette.
This bronzer is pretty, and reminds me of Neapolitan ice cream because of its beautiful stripes which are coloured white, brown, pink & beige. I don’t use the colours separately, I just swirl my brush over all the colours which create a beautiful luminous glow, with a slight tint of pigmentation.
When I hear the word bronzer, I automatically link it to contouring, and do not think about all over face bronzers, until it comes to this product. Clearly this product is too light to add pigmentation to my skin tone. However, it does add a luminous glow which looks gorgeous as a highlight, over blushes and on the point of my face where the sun hits because it adds the glowy look, without being flecked with big chunks of glitter.
I really like this bronzer, but not as a bronzer. I like it more as a highlighter, or a blush topper. But each to their own, clearly if you have skin like mine, that’s the only way it can really be used, however if you have fair skin this bronzer will give you more bang for your buck.
