I bought this in between buying my usual foundation because I was between paydays and $10 sounds like a lot better deal than $45 when you are low in funds so I dived in and bought my colour in 'natural beige'. This was a big mistake because in this particular brand I find that my normal shade is a couple of shades lighter than normal which made me look washed out and ghost like. Big makeup NO NO! I find I have to go up in to the warmer shades closer to almond and use that to match my skin tone.
The pump bottle it comes in sometimes had a fit and doesn't want to pump the product out. I find I have to open the lid and get the product out like a normal bottle. That is both time consuming and I end up wasting too much. I use a sponge applicator to apply my foundation. I find it distributes the product more evenly and smoothly than I would get with a brush or my fingers. Coverage? What coverage! I can still see my rosy cheeks, my lack of sleep dark circles and my red skin in the dry patches. It is less coverage than BB cream at best.
It says it lasts 12 hours?! More like two hours and this is with finishing powder to try and help the stay power. I think that if I had to have foundation, this would only ever be good enough for emergencies until I get my holy grail foundation. Tinted moisturiser is what it is, that is all.
I have a sample size of this that came in a gift set. I am unsure of the shade as it's not printed on the bottle but I believe it's one of the palest ones. My sample came in a simple transparent bottle with a red lid, the packaging leaves something to be desired.
I was impressed at how well the shade matched me, normally cheap pale foundations have a strong orange undertone but this was a great match. It was very runny which mean it was nice and buildable. This builds up to a very full coverage which impressed me, but was still lightweight enough that I had a natural finish. This left my skin glowing.
Wear-wise this did get a bit shiny and oily at the end of a hot summer day, but no more so than my expensive foundations. I think this can be a great foundation as long as you remember to blot or touch up. This didn't oxidize at all or fade so I'd happily use again.
