I have fine hair and found this product made my hair heavy. By the end of the day, my hair looked greasy and limp. I used it for a week, using very little product but still had the same results. I wouldn't recommend it for people with fine hair. On the plus side, it has a beautiful smell.

I love this product, my hair has has never looked better, I noticed how mich more silky and soft my hair was after the second time I used Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner. I will continue to use this product in the future.
It has been a long time since I trusted Pantene on my curly, lightened mind of its own hair but I am glad I gave it a second chance. With its amazing lather this shampoo made my hair smell amazing and left it feeling rejuvenated and light and oh so clean and repaired.
Tips: A little goes a long way
I have used this shampoo and I have really put it through the hoops! It has had to deal with chlorinated hair, as well as dried out frizzy hair!
It has managed to stand up to the test and miraculously it removes the chlorine smell from hair my hair, which makes me believe that it is all washed out! This is amazing as with a lot of other shampoo I have used, it often needs several days of washing to remove the smell, which isn't ideal if you have places to go, or people to see. This fact alone makes me want to use it again and again, as swimming is something I try to do often.
Additionally as someone who loves it when shampoo bubbles easily this Pantene really bubbles! So a plus as far as I am concerned as I really hate it when shampoo takes a while to bubble and lather.
Furthermore, the smell is amazing! It is a fruity and floral smell, which is to die for! It also retains the smell quite nicely!
Unfortunately, although the shampoo has many positives, I have not noticed much of a difference with regard to silky hair. This is not to say that there haven't been improvements, but it hasn't been an extraordinary change.
Overall, I would say that the Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo is best suited to those who struggle to find a shampoo that can keep up with the effects of chlorine (or possibly salt water) or extremely frizzy and dry hair.
Tips: Use less product than you would normally use, as it produces a lot of bubbles quickly, and easily
I personally view Pantene as a brand which helps a lot with unhealthy or damaged hair and is quite reputable, so when I heard about the Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo I was keen to give it a go. I have quite damaged and dry hair myself which only seems to get worse during the summer months, so this seemed like the perfect product for me. My first thought was that it smelt amazing, a bit fruity I thought, quite sweet and very girly. The consistency was the same as other shampoos I had tried, however when I used it on my hair it didn't lather up as much as I would have liked. I ended up having to use more product on my hair while using it, which is something I usually avoid doing. It made my hair feel quite smooth straight away, even before I'd conditioned my hair, which is rare for me. However, after Id gotten out of the shower and started to dry my hair, I noticed it had become quite knotted quickly, and stayed like this a long time. I had to brush my hair for a long time to get rid of some of the knots which is what I try to avoid usually. I blow dry my hair often, but I don't think that it would erase the damage of 100+ blow drys, as said. My hair did feel smoother after using the shampoo and then blow drying, but I don't think it felt or looked a lot healthier or more moisturised. I wouldn't feel comfortable repeating this quote to others interested in buying the product, as I don't think it would be able to erase the damage of 100+ blow drys. I feel that for the price it's sold at ($8.99), it could do a lot more, and would have been able to make my hair feel softer and less damaged, but of course others may think that this is a sufficient price for what is does. Overall, I thought it would a nicely scented product, but didn't work for me as well as I'd hoped it would. I didn't notice a big difference in the health and moisture of my hair which was disappointing, as I'd expected more from this. I probably would not purchase this product again, however I don't think it would stop me from repurchasing from Pantene as a brand again.
Tips: I tried using this with my normal conditioner, then with the Moisture Renewal Conditioner by Pantene as a comparison.I would definitely advise to use this product with the corresponding conditioner, as they work together a lot better than other conditioners and combinations, which was of course expected.
I really like this shampoo, my hair feels clean and light without being limp and lifeless as it often is right after I wash it, it has a very pleasant yet subtle fragrance.
Tips: I love the trial size packs that I received, so easy to throw into a gym bag or overnight bag. I would purchase these if I saw them for sale, definitely work looking out for
I used this product over 7 days, washing every second day, the texture of the shampoo is smooth and creamy. I found that this product was easier to rub into the hair when it was really wet.
The scent is a lovely fresh, lemons and flowers smell, very reminiscent of spring! It is humid where I live and I was delighted to find that as I heated up, the scent got a bit stronger too.
It worked really well with my hair straighteners in that my hair-which is really fine-stayed soft, and silky for a long time afterwards-I really enjoyed the lighter feel to my hair and found myself touching it a lot.
The product says that it will 'erase the damage of a 100 blow-dries' and 'Clinically Proven Healthier Hair with Every Wash'- Can I say that I felt this happened in a week? No way- this would have to be used way longer to see if this was true!
What I do know is that it is a nice product that worked well with my heated straighteners, smelled really lovely most of the day and did leave my hair feeling light and not oily.
Tips: Make sure your hair is freshly wet when you apply, for better coverage. As it does not give a recommended amount, a fifty cent size amount is enough ( I have quite long hair). Enjoy, I know I did.
I received my products for this trial a week ago which was very good timing since I badly damaged my hair during a recent holiday. It was just recovering with the help of another product which is doing a great job but I am open to other options. When I opened the parcel, a clean, fresh, & floral fragrance greeted me. The promise of that scent enveloping me all day got me excited to try it. The first time I used it, I loved the fragance so much I spent a couple of seconds just basking in the scent in the shower! Both shampoo and conditioner are thick and creamy but the conditioner is a bit thicker, almost cream-like consistency. The shampoo lathers very well so a little goes a long way. With the cream-like consistency of the conditioner however, I needed more than twice the amount of the shampoo before I am satisfied that every strand of hair is covered by the conditioner. With my long hair, this meant that the product didn't last very long. Aftter the shower, I noticed that my hair was easier to comb, the tangles that plagued me in the last few weeks with my current shampoo and conditioner were not there! This was only after the first use! When dry, my hair was soft, silky, shiny and definitely healthier-looking! After 4 days of using them, any trace of abuse and neglect I inflicted upon my hair is gone! Even the ends are no longer brittle to the touch. Over all, I am very pleased with the way the product affected my hair. If I have any mis-giving, it is the fact that the fragrance doesn't last all day, but this is a nice-to-have and not at all a deal breaker. Overall, I will definitely switch to this product once my current stash of shampoo and conditioner runs out. It will be worth every dollar!
Tips: Lather the shampoo in your hands before applying it to your hair to get more coverage. I also apply most of the shampoo closer to the scalp and apply the conditioner at the ends first. This way, the shampoo takes off any excess oil from the scalp before stripping the hair strands of any moisture and the strands get all the conditioning power they need.
As a hairdresser I always strictly stick to using professional products. I naturally have thick, wavy black hair that I lighten blonde, religiously! I also use heated styling tools at least every second day. As a result my hair is extremely dry and damaged.
To many in my industry, Pantene is the biggest no go! There is a lot of negativity behind their ingredients, their effects and the fact that it strictly has a cosmetic effect on the hair in the way that it only works on the appearance of the hair as apposed to penetrating the hair and actually repairing it. I have never touched pantene before in my life but O M G ! I caant believe it! I absolutely loved this product! Haha. I felt a difference after the first wash. After blow waving and ironing my hair, it felt soft and shiny and it smelt lovely! After the second use I actually let my hair dry naturally and wore it in it's natural wave - which I am NEVER able to do. By the third use I was almost ready to shout from the rooftops that I had been wrong all my life!
Tips: Seriously though, I am so suprised. Whether it is cosmetic or not I love the way it makes my hair look and feel especially considering the fact that I usually use $45 shampoo and $60 treatment for the same result! With my hair being so thick I did struggle to get a good lather on my first wash (you should ALWAYS do two anyway, btw
I am a fan of Pantene in general. I have long hair that has recently become very dry and damaged. Pantene has always been my go to in these situations to increase combability but this shampoo left my hair so sticky and greasy with absolutely none of the usual Pantene silkiness.
