This shampoo and conditioner go hand in hand and made a visible difference to my hair. The shampoo had a pleasant smell and was easy to apply to my a hair. Rinsing was not a problem and my hair felt smooth before the application of the conditioner. My hair felt clean, looked shiny and felt great. I would use this product again.

If you use Pantene often, this feels like a typical pantene shampoo with its signature scent. This didnt seem to make any difference in the condition of my hair. Though I must say I had less tangles after washing with this
Tips: Shampoo every other day, condition everyday. Too keep hair soft.
Used this twice during one week to wash my chemically treated (coarse) hair. I generally use a salon brand shampoo. This shampoo smells very pleasant, unlike the 'normal' Pantene smell which I find quite overwhelming. This left my hair clean, no residue, the conditioner was moisturising yet light
I have dyed hair that is damaged at the ends from dye and straightening.
This shampoo smelled good, lathered really well. The conditioner added moisture and de-tangled my hair really well.
My hair was soft and shiny after using this product and smelled really nice.
Overall though, it wasn't much different than any regular supermarket shampoo, it did nothing spectacular. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy this, but would if it was in special that week.
Like the conditioner, I had tried this yonks ago and didn't fall in love with it at all. Didn't find it did anything for my short hair so when this trial came up, I just had to put my hand up to see if they had improved their formula after all these years. Here are the results.
The container is good as it prevents it getting mixed up with the conditioner which is always a bonus for me because I get sick and tired of picking up the wrong bottle of other brands as they are exactly the same.
The formula I find is a bit more thicker than it used to be and I find that you don't need a lot of this, maybe the size of a 50c coin, but then again it also depends on the length and thickness of your hair. I have short thick hair so don't really require lots as it lathers up really well, too much of the shampoo I find is really hard to get out and takes ages to wash it out. I think what I liked about this formula is that it left my hair feeling soft and a little silky before I had applied the conditioner which I always like and tells me its a good brand, some leave my hair feeling like birds nest at the back. This one was good.
The fragrance was nice just like the conditioner, a fruity type hint I think it is, I'm useless when it comes to describing scents, so don't hold me to the fruity part lol.
The actual results I found were pretty much like the conditioner, after the first use, left my hair soft, shiny, clean and with a little bounce. I don't believe it has a wow factor and perhaps for me it never will as I'm super fussy when it comes to my hair, but it has improved and I really like that Pantene are always striving to improve their formula to satisfy their customers. A thumbs up for that Pantene.
Based on my fussiness, this shampoo really isn't for me unfortunately but it was fun trialling it out, so thanks so much for this opportunity Beauty Review xx
I used Pantene for years as a teenager and ended up changing to a salon product because of all of the awful things that were said about Pantene and the silicone in it. I've been chopping and changing brands recently and I decided to try this again because I was interested after seeing such good reviews on here from the big trial. I got the moisture renewal because my hair has been really dry lately and it needs some help in that department. The smell of the product was okay but nothing particularly good or bad. The texture of the product is exactly what you would expect for the product. This left my hair feeling clean and didn't cause any irritation or flaking of my scalp which my sensitive skin can be quite prone to. There were not any remarkable effects on my hair apart from it not being moisturizing enough for the condition my hair is in at the moment. I had such high hopes of being able to be a Pantene girl again but no such luck this time.
I've used Pantene a few times over the years and I personally don't feel like it lives up to its hype.
The Pantene bottles are always simple, yet quite elegant looking with the gold labeling. You can stand these bottles upside down which helps you to be able to use up all the product. The consistency is thick creamy and white while the scent isn't overpowering and lovely.
I find it to lather good and wash out easily. Yes it makes my hair clean but does it really add moisture to my hair? I don't think so, well not as much as I'd like to see for the price of it. It makes my hair look nice but my hair still remains pretty much the same as it was before hand which is semi dry.
I won't repurchase Pantene as for me personally I have used cheaper brands that have worked wonders on my hair
Tips: Use in conjunction with the conditioner
I received the BRBB sample of this and tried it once. My hair is super pampered and I don't usually use supermarket products on it. I tried this and it was no good on my aging, bleached ends, long hair. It was difficult to comb through and brushing afterwards my hair was still a tangled mess.
But wait- I popped it in the swimming bag and my daughter used it after swimming. Her hair was transformed into silky smooth locks. I could feel it as I was lathering it up in her hair for her. This is the daughter who has hair like a wire- haired terrier, all frizzy and coarse. Later that day when it had dried she was running her fingers through it constantly and admiring her soft, silky hair. I went and bought full size bottles for her. I guess that is why there is so many products on the market to deal with every hair type possible. So I'd definitely recommend trying it once to see how you go. She loves it and her hair has never looked better.
Pantene is a brand I go to when I'm feeling uninspired and need just a good standard shampoo.
The shampoo has that standard shampoo smell and consistency. In my hair it lathers up well and leaves it clean afterwards. But does it make my hair look healthier after each wash. That would be a no. My hair is just the same old hair, just cleaner.
What it doesn't do is let my hair get any drier, whereas with some shampoos I notice after a few weeks that my hair seems drier.
So it's affordable and keeps your hair at status quo. But it's no wonder product.
I've got very oily hair so using moisturising products can make my hair even oiler. But I was pleased this product didn't make my hair as oily as I thought it would. It was definitely moisturising - my hair felt extra silky afterwards. However, I do like my hair to feel squeaky clean when I wash it because I want to wash out all the dry shampoo I use every second day. When I used this shampoo my scalp didn't feel as clean compared to other shampoos. The conditioner equivalent was really impressive though at doing its job. I was able to get two decent washes of the product and my hair still felt moisturised the day after washing. So in the future, I will keep using my current shampoo, but I would purchase the conditioner.
