This shampoo is good but it doesn't have the fruity/floral scent I like about my regular shampoo. Its nice and you only need a little to get a good lather going and my hair is nice and soft but more for a girl that likes fragrance free or low fragrance no non-sense shampoos. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't want all that "fro fro girlie smelly ones" unfortunately I am one of those girls tho does like those
I was impressed with the shampoo, it was lighter than I thought it would be and creamy. I lathered well and felt "great" on application. This was reiterated with the next uses....I have now bought a full size bottle to see how it goes over a longer period. My hair seems to be lighter and yet fuller.
Tips: make sure you rinse your hair very very well between first and second shampoo and you certainly dont need a lot of it...a little goes a very long way.
My hair is naturally dry and frizzy. It's been damaged by colouring and heat styling. I've been using expensive salon products for a few years because my hair needs a lot of extra care. But, for a supermarket product, Pantene Pro-V was pretty impressive. Even on a rainy muggy day, which would usually cause instant boofy hair, everything stayed in place and my hair was smooth and soft. And by Day 2 my hair was still manageable and smooth. I wouldn't say that it made my hair glossy or shiny, but it's never been very glossy because it's so dry. I definitely see more benefits of using Pantene to make my hair smoot, rather than glossy. Pantene haven't done a lot with branding and packaging over the years, it's just a standard functional bottle. The smell is that classic "shampoo" smell - clean and fresh, with a fruity or flowery scent mixed in. I was surprised at how the shampoo seemed a little thicker than the conditioner, usually it's the other way around, but I normally need a good dose of conditioner so having a runnier mixture made it easy to spread through my hair. There's never going to be a miracle cure for my dry, damaged, frizzy hair. And because it needs a lot of TLC I'll probably continue buying the expensive stuff from my hairdresser. But I would definitely consider Pantene Pro-V as a back up shampoo and conditioner especially if I was short on cash.
Tips: Watch out for the runny conditioner!
Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo definitely improved the feel of my hair, which overnight usually goes quite oily, however with this shampoo it actually stayed clean and not oily. This is something that is difficult to find in shampoo's for me.
Tips: Use with Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner
The smell is nice and fresh, which is something I really enjoyed about the product. I also enjoyed the look the look of the packaging. The bottles look cute and will be great to take with me over the Christmas holidays. The shampoo is nice, leaving my hair very soft and moisturised.
I used this product over 7 days, washing every second day, the texture of the shampoo is smooth and creamy. I found that this product was easier to rub into the hair when it was really wet.
The scent is a lovely fresh, lemons and flowers smell, very reminiscent of spring! It is humid where I live and I was delighted to find that as I heated up, the scent got a bit stronger too.
It worked really well with my hair straighteners in that my hair-which is really fine-stayed soft, and silky for a long time afterwards-I really enjoyed the lighter feel to my hair and found myself touching it a lot.
The product says that it will 'erase the damage of a 100 blow-dries' and 'Clinically Proven Healthier Hair with Every Wash'- Can I say that I felt this happened in a week? No way- this would have to be used way longer to see if this was true!
What I do know is that it is a nice product that worked well with my heated straighteners, smelled really lovely most of the day and did leave my hair feeling light and not oily.
Tips: Make sure your hair is freshly wet when you apply, for better coverage. As it does not give a recommended amount, a fifty cent size amount is enough ( I have quite long hair). Enjoy, I know I did.
As a hairdresser I always strictly stick to using professional products. I naturally have thick, wavy black hair that I lighten blonde, religiously! I also use heated styling tools at least every second day. As a result my hair is extremely dry and damaged.
To many in my industry, Pantene is the biggest no go! There is a lot of negativity behind their ingredients, their effects and the fact that it strictly has a cosmetic effect on the hair in the way that it only works on the appearance of the hair as apposed to penetrating the hair and actually repairing it. I have never touched pantene before in my life but O M G ! I caant believe it! I absolutely loved this product! Haha. I felt a difference after the first wash. After blow waving and ironing my hair, it felt soft and shiny and it smelt lovely! After the second use I actually let my hair dry naturally and wore it in it's natural wave - which I am NEVER able to do. By the third use I was almost ready to shout from the rooftops that I had been wrong all my life!
Tips: Seriously though, I am so suprised. Whether it is cosmetic or not I love the way it makes my hair look and feel especially considering the fact that I usually use $45 shampoo and $60 treatment for the same result! With my hair being so thick I did struggle to get a good lather on my first wash (you should ALWAYS do two anyway, btw
I left my trial of this product a little late as I was a bit worried due to my sensitive scalp and skin, however I didn't have to worry, I washed it and committed the ultimate sin of air drying my hair and all was fine. During the washing process I was a bit skeptical and needed to use two small doses on my hair to make it feel clean which I didn't really mind because I loved the smell of it after the second dose it bubbled up quite a lot.
I used the conditioner which felt quite thick and once dry while my hair doesn't feel ultra silky it certainly is soft and shiny with quite a bit of volume and fullness to my hair, my hair is typically limp and lifeless so it feels strange to not have it in a ponytail to hide it.
While I'm undecided as to if it locked in the moisture I can say that :
1. It's ok for sensitive skin 2. It's fabulous for limp hair 3. Doesn't leave a gross residue
and most of all it smells fantastic. I will continue to test it out over the next week and see if there are any changes and come back to update.
Tips: Use a healthy dollop of the shampoo!
I haven't used this product before because I always thought it was more for long hair, mine is short. The product left my hair looking shiny and silky - and moisturised. My daughter used it on her long highlighted hair and her hair looked glossy, reducing the occasional frizzies and it brought the hair lights out. Personally I liked my daughters results more than mine. It smells really nice too.
Tips: Use as directed with the Pro v moisture conditioner.
