Brilliant Acne Clearing Kit

This skincare kit has been brilliant! My 16 year old daughter has quite acne prone skin, and unlike all other skincare kits we have tried, this actually cleared her skin! We were noticing the difference just days after starting to use this product. It smells really good and it is really easy to apply. Its so useful to have the toner in a spray bottle so you don't have to use a makeup pad, it definitely stops you from using too much! It was a little confusing that there were two step 3's that were both supposed to be applied in the morning, but using both has been working really well for her. When she initially started using the product, it stung her face a little, but since the second use, this has not been occurring. She was a little disappointed that the "Foaming Wash" doesn't foam as much as expected. Instead, it comes out as a general soap and only bubbles up a small amount when it is in contact with water. Overall, this product has been amazing! I would definitely recommend it because it has cleared up her skin so well and it has been so easy!

Tips: The foaming wash comes out a little sporadically. Be careful, you don't need much - a little really goes a long way with this product!

Dermalogica clear Start Breakout Clearing Kit

My daughter came to me today and said look Mum no acne and its all thanks to this Kit. She followed the instructions twice daily, which was a bit of a mission for her but she completed it and is so happy with the results. It cleared up her face and she wants me to get more of it. When I asked her to tell me about using the individual products she said it was easy to follow the instructions, did not need much of it, it smelt nice and she thought the packaging was cute. The toner she said made her face feel a bit oily by end of day and the day treatment moisturizer stung sometimes but the end result is I have a happy teenager with clear skin who is absolutely stoked with how this product has helped her get rid of her acne, thanks for letting us trial it, my girl is ecstatic and wanting more

Tips: Makeup sponges work well to apply and this stuff is great for teenage girls and their make up parties

Dermatologica Clear Start

Ok,so I waited this long before I wanted to write in about this set as I was a little skeptical at first, but seeing it was trailed on my 13year old acne prone skin son,I needed to see how it works truly. I showed him the routine he needed to do according to the instructions (which I might add are very clear & concise, excellent for a teen)..anyway,he religiously followed the course & over the weeks,we certainly noticed an improvement in his skin especially the texture. Less pimples & even clearing already scars & texture that he had prior. I along with my 13year old is extremely happy with these results (& although he has exzma programme didn't irritate or flare up his skin) I have now been asked to get him the full set so he can continue with clear skin throughout his teens..so very happy with these results

Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Kit

Thank you Beauty Review for saving my life - pimples be gone!

I was one of the lucky ones that were chosen to review this amazing breakout clearing kit!

My skin is not dry or oily, but I still seem to suffer from pimples and blackheads. Recently turning 20, I have been struggling to find a product that suits my skin type and that claims to do what it says!

I have been using this kit for the last couple of weeks and I feel like it has benefit my skin so much! Although after about week 1, my skin did feel really dry but I think that's just the process you go through. I still carried on following all the steps and I'm so glad I did because I started seeing results of my skin clearing up after week 2. Like all products, you have to give it time to work its magic! The pimples on my chin and forehead have cleared up so well, I also love that it reduces the redness. The combination of the products in this kit work so well, it's feels so gentle and light on your skin.

I'm happy that I've found a solution to my breakouts, it's also a confidence boost! I find it exciting washing my face as I know it works so well for my skin type and does exactly what it says.

If supermarket brands aren't working for you then I suggest you purchase this kit from your chemist - Life Pharmacies even have little samples! This kit will last you a while so it is well worth the money. It's the perfect little gift for a teenager!

Recommend 100% :-)

Tips: Make sure you follow every step!

No gimics here!

I was gifted this kit when I was a teenager by my Mum. This kit has a wonderful range of products to use, depending on what is required and the time of day you are applying the product. It’s a simple process with instructions on the back of the products saying how to apply the product and which product to use next. In my kit, there was a handy little booklet describing each product and what problem the product targeted. As I have sensitive skin, I’m hesitant to use skin products on my face in fair of the product causing a rash. However this product is very safe and gentle. My favourite product which I still use 6 years after first receiving the kit is the bedtime break out (product with the blue writing). Apply it before bed and in the morning the pimple is reduced in sized and redness reduced.

Tips: Good for any age and type of skin.

Clear start Dermalogica - teenage essential

I decided to do the Clear start dermalogica trial on my teenage sons, my younger son had started getting pimples!! He wasn't too happy. The first day we tried it he said it made his skin tingly (this may have been the salicylic acid) he was quite impressed with the skin cleaning ritual that we were doing. The next day the three little pimples had vanished. We used the foaming wash the toner then the overnight treatment. I think it was the toner that was the most difficult as it stung his eyes a bit (they were closed) the Matt moisturiser was good for removing oil on the nose and forehead also has sun protection. I love how they have natural and botanical extracts. I used it on my skin as well and its great to clean excess oils that clog pores and it really purifies the skin. Its a great product!!

Tips: The small kits would make great gifts for teenagers as it helps they're confidence to have clear skin and face cleaning rituals

Clear Start Review

Having used this product for a month now, I found that it significantly helped with clearing my skin and preventing breakouts.

Since using the product, breakouts that have occurred have been much smaller and less severe, with a lot less redness.

As I have incredibly sensitive skin, I find that a lot of acne treatment products, along with the Isotretinoin medication I use cause my skin to become dry and irritated, sometimes with rash like symptoms. This product has helped with reducing breakouts while causing only minimal dryness/flaking and irritation. My skin is now relatively smooth as a result of using the product.

After using this product, I am very happy with the results and will definitely consider using it in the future.

#Flawless?

SO, I've been trying out Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Kit for a couple of weeks now, and my first thought: IMPRESSIVE! It's my most stressful time of year and like any other gal I'm prone to getting mad breakouts when I'm stressed. Using this product as instructed (although a serious pain in the ass if you aren't used to a decent skin care regime!) delivered the good! My skin is clearer, and healthier than EVER! I especially love the toner product - it really did help my skin stop getting oily, which was amazing (: ....on a side note though...the day treatment cream burned something epic when putting it on (on the first day I thought I was reacting to it!) BUT was instantly soothed by the mate moisturizer (not as matte as I had hoped but still really good for combating oily skin!). I still would totally recommend this to my friends, as my this product has done what every other face wash/breakout kit I've ever tried has failed to do - all the while making my skin feel healthy, and not stripped back by something purely synthetic and chemical!

P.s. Another positive is the size - they're still going AND great to travel with.

Tips: Stick to the routine! It becomes super easy after awhile and gets great results!

Easy to apply & need very little for spreading

My 15 year old daughter has quite bad acne on her face and upper shoulders so when I saw she could review the Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout products I jumped at the chance. She also wanted to get rid of the spots and have a clear complexion as it can affect your confidence.

She found the foaming wash easy to apply morning and night, but surprised it was a thick gel and not foaming up on the face like she expected. The toner spray was easy to apply, but went up the nose and had an antiseptic smell.

The daytime treatment was very liquid and at first got all over her hair and clothes as it poured out. Could be thicker consistency. Felt very gentle on the skin. The overnight treatment was thicker and so much easier to apply. The oil clearing had a SPF15 which is great for protecting the skin especially in the summer months & was easy to apply.

Her skin got a little better in the beginning with the spots fading and her face becoming clearer for a week then it seemed to just stay the same. We used this treatment for 3 weeks' and the first week was definitely the best and most noticeable. Her skin felt refreshed after applying. She wants to keep on with the treatment as it has made a little difference & is hopeful it will keep improving.

Tips: Over the school holidays she went off to a friends bach and took the breakout clearing kit which was so handy with the smaller bottles so would be great for travelling.

Dermalogica dodgy-start-but-clear-end breakout kit

Let me just start off by saying I have problem skin that tends to breakout when I'm under stress, sick, hormonal or just generally tired (I'm a Uni student so pretty much all the time). Overall I quite enjoyed this kit and It has significantly improved my skin, although at the beginning when I started using the kit my face broke out horribly around my chin and cheek bones. I am almost one month into using it now and my face is almost completely clear and I’m nearing the end of most of the cream products. I originally thought that it having 5 products were going to take way too long when you're in a hurry but it turns out that once you get into it and figure out how much product is best for your skin it only takes about 3 minutes for the whole process. ~ Foaming Wash ~ I liked this cleanser a lot, it didn't foam up too much and was refreshing. It also is quite useful for removing makeup in the evenings. (it isn't specifically stated on the packet but still works ok at getting daily light makeup off). I used about a 10-cent coin worth of product each time. ~All Over Toner ~ I liked how refreshing this was and the lemongrass and orange smell was lovely. The downside of this product was that occasionally if my skin was extra sensitive or if I had exfoliated earlier that day the toner and breakout cream would burn my skin when first applied. This only happened three times. ~Daytime Treatment~ I mostly spread this on my problem areas and in any breakouts. There doesn’t appear to be a dramatic change/ banishment of pimples after application however this stops it from getting worse as the day progresses. The consistency is good, not too creamy and not harsh on the skin like some other treatment products. I use the amount of about a pea or two – sometimes more if I have a particularly bad break out. Spread this thinly over the problem areas and wait for it to sink in before applying any makeup or else it will smudge. ~Oil Clearing Matte Moisturizer SPF15~ The oil mattifying moisturising cream didn’t have as visible a mattifying effect as I wanted it to but it still did a pretty good job of general moisturising. I used it mostly in the morning as it was lightweight and worked as a good base my makeup and instead used a thicker moisturiser at night. This moisturiser is soothing to the skin, it absorbs easily and gives a nice fresh feeling. The SPF is a huge plus for me and as I have really pale skin that burns easily. Unlike some other spf moisturizers this didn’t have a greasy feeling. ~Overnight Treatment ~ I liked this product more as it was quite effective. When I wake up in the morning I see my skin REALLY relaxed and purified. This helped makes my pores less clogged and clears it up. I like this product the most of all of them. I would use this kit again if it wasn’t so expensive. This product cleared up my skin and helped a lot but don't expect it to clear up immediately- be patient and persistent and you will be rewarded :)

Tips: Use the treatment cream before putting on the mattifying moisturizer. Brush your teeth while waiting for the toner to sink in if you're in a hurry. if you are prone to having sensitive skin I would suggest being weary about how spray happy you get when putting the toner on. I found one spritz in the morning and two in the evening to be about right. I originally thought that it having 5 products were going to take way too long when you're in a hurry but it turns out that once you get into it and figure out how much product is best for your skin it only takes about 3 minutes for the whole process. Splash your face with water to get most of the cleanser off and then dry with a clean washcloth.
