Love using this as a everyday exfoliant! It’s not to harsh that it strips the skin, but it’s a nice amount of exfoliation for everyday!

The Dermalogica daily microfoliant was the second product from the Dermalogica range I have tried, the first one being the Special cleansing gel which my skin loved very much, with that in mind I was excited when I opened up the daily microfoliant. The packaging is very plain and simple, a white container with a grey lid, once the lid is twisted off there is a small hole where the microfoliant comes out. Using my hand as a little cup I pour (ever so carefully) the microfoliant out and with a small amount of water I use this to create a paste. The first few tries were hard as I would use too much water and it would be hard to rub the product on my face. You only need the smallest amount of water, I would say a ratio of 2 parts microfoliant to 1 part water.
I wasn't overly impressed with the exfoliation of the powder, it was very subtle when it came to exfoliating, it cleansed my cheeks and forehead very well except for my nose which gets a lot of dry skin. I like to apply the product to a wash cloth and gently rub my nose to help remove the dry skin.
After washing my face I can see a visible difference in the brightness and can feel a slight firmness of my skin. I also notice how it drys my skin after each wash, it has been helpful as I get a lot of oiliness around my jawline.
Overall I would repurchase for the benefits of brighter and smooth skin.
Tips: Be careful when using this in the shower as the water can get into the container.
I bough this 2 months ago after a friend recommended it to me. have sensitive skin so I was sceptical to use the microfoliant. The powder turns into a paste with a few drops of water. It does not feel gritty on the skin, and fells like a mud mask. My skin felt soft, smooth and looked more radiant after one wash. I have been using it 3 times a week will definetly repurchase!
I really enjoyed using this until they brought out the new daily superfoliant which is AMAZING! it definitely leaves the skin feeling soft though.
Tips: use the full range to get the all the benefits from this.
This stuff is amazing, I received it in a beauty box and couldn't believe the difference in my skin, it brightened and freshened my skin overnight and I received so many positive comments, I have kept buying it
Tips: I use mine in the shower, but it must be kept dry so I keep it on the top shelf
This came in one of the Beauty Boxes I've purchased, and I was excited to see a Dermalogica product. Sadly I found it just didn't really feel like much was happening when I used it. I'm used to using exfoliant products where you can feel the granules, this one just felt a little muddy. Perhaps it was doing the job in a subtle and sophisticated way, but I just didn't feel it, so wouldn't buy again.
This daily microfoliant get the 2 thumbs up from me! (except the packaging)
The packaging is classic Dermalogica styling, and it's fine - except for how hard it is to use in the shower. I'm always worried about getting water splashes in a ruining the whole bottle so I tend to use it out of the shower, it's just easier.
I pour a small amount into my palm (and I do mean small) and start by adding 1 drop of water, then another and that's usually enough to get a nice paste to rub into my skin. The best thing about this microfoliant is that it's very gentle and when my dermatitis on the sides of my nose flares up, this nips it in the bud and gets my skin looking good again. I'm yet to use it daily as my skin just doesn't need it but you can certainly tell when I have used it. My skin looks much fresher and more smooth.
I have finally used up my sample size from the BBBE and am about to repurchase, it was that good!
Tips: Make sure it doesn't get wet in the shower - that will ruin your whole bottle. Best to just use it at the bathroom sink.
I received a sample sachet of Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant from Dermalogica and I was quite surprised at how gentle this exfoliator is.
When I read the words "daily exfoliator", I did wonder how gentle this was going to be. The exfoliator is in a dry powder form that you mix with a little water, in the palm of your hand, to make a paste before applying it to your skin.
The fine, white powder was really easy to use in the shower and the paste lathered up nicely, as more water was added, after exfoliating my skin. It rinsed away cleanly and left my skin feeling surprisingly smooth after being the most gentle exfoliator I have ever used.
I'm still not sure that I would use an exfoliator daily, no matter how gentle, as too much exfoliation tends to aggravate my oily skin. Another negative is the price. I can't see myself spending that much on an exfoliator that I possibly can't keep in the shower (I don't know how well the powder would stand up to being kept in a steamy shower) and if it's stored elsewhere, I'd probably forget to use it.
It's definitely the most gentle exfoliator that I've ever come across. I would definitely recommend it to those with sensitive skin or acne-prone skin, but I don't see myself purchasing a full sized bottle to use on my own skin, due to the issues I raised before.
Tips: start off by adding a drop of water at a time until you get a smooth, creamy paste
I got this microfoliant in one of the lovely BBBEs and finished it recently. It lasted me a good few months or so even with almost daily use, despite being the smallest bottle size, so that's a plus. I found it to be an effective microfoliant without being harsh on the skin, and that's what we all want from a skin product, right? Too many exfoliation products are overly harsh on the skin and ultimately do more damage in the long run. My skin was always refreshed-looking afterwards, without being too squeaky clean (a sign that the skin has also been stripped of important oils). I also had no dryness or breakouts while using this product, which is another good sign. My only issue with it was that it was a bit awkward and messy to use in the shower. This was because I'd have to shake some out on to my palm to mix it, which meant I couldn't get the lid back on the tub while mixing and applying (unlike with other cleansers and exfoliants, where I apply straight to my face, and before massaging, can get the lid back on, or better yet, it's got an easy to snap close lid, or no lid at all, just a pump....). This meant that the couple of times it got knocked over in the shower before I'd been able to screw the lid back on, some spilled. Very annoying. So it would be good to see a better bottle/dispensing system for it so none goes to waste. Otherwise, fantastic product.
I really like this mircofoliant for how it brightens my skin, however I definitely wouldn't use it every day. It might be ok if your skin holds moisture really well, but my skin is combination, on the dry side and so I find that very frequent exfoliation strips my skin of its natural oils and makes it dry and dull.
As for how my skins feels after I use it, it feels really smooth. I like to follow it with a serum to make sure I replace the moisture in my skin. The smooth feeling tends to last for a few days for me.
The idea of a powder exfoliant really appeals to me but it does take a little bit of getting used to. It's very easy to add too much water when you are creating the paste.
Tips: Go slow when you are adding the water to make the paste. It's very easy to add too much and it goes sloppy.
