I won this as part of a package and couldn't wait to try this nearly cult product. To be honest though, I wasn't that impressed. You are supposed to massage into the skin and then moisten and massage further before rinsing off. The liquid is clear and oily feeling, although on application it felt more 'silicony' to me. Then you are supposed to use your usual cleanser. I am a big fan of the double cleanse system when I wear makeup and usually use plain aqueous cream. The same way as you are advised to use the Precleanse. So moisten face, add aqueous cream, massage in and then rinse off. When I do this, the second cleanse removes very little extra off my face, however I like to ensure that every last scrap is gone. After using Precleanse, there was quite a lot of makeup still to remove with the second cleanse. I feel for the price of this product, it should do a better job, so would not recommend this to anyone, and will not purchase.

This is the best make up remover I have come across, it dissolves what it on your face yet feels so gentle and leaves it feeling soft. You just put it on, add a bit of water then wash it off. It is expensive but you save so much time and effort removing make up. Highly recommend
This product is not only a make up remover but it means all the other products you use afterwards better penetrate to the right level of skin and get to do thier job properly. I love it.. The whole dermalogica range is common sense. Broad in its usage but feels expensively tailored to your skin. Natural and value for money this is a must have and must use. It just works!
Tips: No need much about with cotton buds and feel like you waste it or use too little or too much, this oils feels strange at first but it really does it's job breaking down the harshest of make up!
This stuff is amazing!! I was a bit concerned at first using an oil on my oily skin but with a little persuasion I tried it and have never gone back. It even removes the most hardest of makeup including the benefit there real mascara and push up liner!! Love love love!!
The first time I used this I thought it was so strange...my face was so oily afterwards and I couldn't see the point of cleaning twice. Then I saw what it did to my skin. It's never been this clear - it's super clean but hydrated and smooth. I use the pre-cleanse then follow with a hydrating dermalogica cleanser (designed for my getting wrinkly skin) and I have seen huge results. My make up goes on smoother and I don't get any dry bits like I used to around my brows and nose. You only need the TINIEST amount of product so it lasts a long time too.
Tips: Follow the instructions! Use a teeny drop and rub it over your dry face with dry hands, THEN use damp hands to lather it up. I rub it on dry before the shower - easy!
This is an amazing product. This breaks down my makeup like nothing i have used before. It takes about 30 seconds to remove my whole face of makeup including waterproof mascara and eyeliner. It does not irritate my skin at all and my skin feels so refreshed after using it. I was worried because it is an oil iw ould clog my skin or cause my skin to become oilier, but my skin has become clearer as my makeup is getting removed so well and i havent noticed any excess oil flow. The only downside to this product is definitely the price it isnt budget friendly so it definitely is a treat product that i use very sparingly!
Tips: put onto dry skin and then add water to turn into a milky consistancy rub that on your face then remove with more water (:
Love this stuff it really cuts through makeup making removal really easy. Your skin will love it, and with using your cleanser after you have used precleanse you can be certain you have removed all traces of makeup from your skin.
Tips: A little goes along way so use sparingly as you emulsify with water once you have massaged a little onto dry skin
I'm so happy that I have finally got around to reviewing this beautiful product. At first I was very sceptical about investing nearly 60 dollars in a product that theoretically was only the 'pre' cleanse, as it seemed like a superfluous step in a skincare routine. I thought wrong.
Precleanse is a silky, oil based cleanser designed to be step one in a two step cleansing routine. It has a beautiful ingredients list that I genuinely think warrants its price tag. It melts onto the skin and dissolves even full coverage makeup. It is even gentle enough to use as an eye makeup remover. The smell is relatively strong and floral botanical-y, quite intense but nothing to worry about. You apply it to a dry face, literally massage your makeup off and then rinse with warm water, and upon contact a milky emulsion forms and it washes off. This really is the epitome of luxury cleansing. I love the feel of it, I love the feel of my skin after it, and most of all I love how because it is so deep cleansing I can enjoy nice pure skin despite the fact that I wear my favourite makeup throughout the day.
If you love makeup, you should invest in this product. If you like having a smooth, hydrated and deeply cleansed face after wearing said makeup all day, you should invest in this product. To think of it, I can think of nobody who wouldn't love this product, or would benefit from using it. To ladies with oily skin who might initially recoil from using more oil to cleanse their face I say this; worry not, the beauty of preclease is that oil dissolves oil and so it lifts all the stuff out of your pores and leaves your face beautifully balanced. If you are wondering whether you should try Precleanse, the answer is yes. My bottle has been going strong for 2 months and is still 3/4 full. It has absolutely become staple product in my skincare routine, and makes me look forward to cleansing my skin at the end of each day.
Tips: If you feel like it's not working for you, you're using it wrong. Remember it goes onto a DRY face with DRY hands and then is rinsed off with water.
I used this product while i was at beauty therapy school. Smells so good, and is so easy to use. Remember to always cleanse twice :) I have combination-oily skin and this work wonders and worth the price.
Tips: Remember that this product works best applying with DRY hands and on a DRY face and massage in gently. Then add water to your hands and gently rub in to form a milky substance on the skin. This is how your supposed to use it. To get off tougher makeup like mascara and eyeliner, soak makeup pads in the product and hold onto eyes for 20 seconds then gently rub off :)
Dermalogica precleanse is a super effective, easy to use make up remover. All I needed to do was poor a small amount of the oily product on to my finger tips, rub it into my face then rinse my finger tips under warm water and rub in to my face again. It will form milky coloured oil. Once my make up had been removed, I rinsed the product off with a wet face cloth.
Precleanse is an expensive product, but I believe it is worth the money. I have sensitive, oily, pimple-prone skin and I found it did not cause me to break out. I struggle to find products that do not break my skin out.
Precleanse only needs to be used when you're wearing make-up, and I don't wear make up everyday, so therefore the product lasts me a long time.
I would definitely recommend this product to others, but if you are using something that currently is working well for you it probably isn't worth spending over $80 on a make up remover
Tips: ensure that you use it with water
