Dior Hypnotic Poison Review

I'm a big fan of Dior's Poison range and had to have this in my collection. I love the bottle design with it's deep red body and gorgeous black lid. I feel that this is definitely true to the Poison range with it's deep seductive fragrance. I definitely smell vanilla, almond and possibly caramel but the fragrance isn't quite like candy because the vanilla seems to take this fragrance to a more enchanting level and prevents it from being too sweet and sickly. I find this fragrance is too strong to wear in warmer weather as it seems to be overpowering when your body temperature heats up but it's great to wear during the colder months.

My Mumma had a bottle of this when I was younger, I loved it so much and the scent has never left my mind. So when I managed to get $60 in Farmers vouchers I decided to purchase a 30ml bottle. Making it only $45 to buy. I don't need perfume, it's probably the last thing I should of bought but it's good to have lots of choice right?

The gorgeous bottle reminds me of an apple, glossy and bright red I just want to bite into it. The black lid on top makes the juicy red bottle stand out even more.

I take the lid of and spray my neck, the spray nozzle on this is awesome, it seems to spray really wide. 1 spray will cover my whole neck.

When I first spray it is like a vanilla overload all vanilla and not a lot else. I start thinking I have made a huge mistake buying this bottle, and doesn't smell as amazing as I remembered. It actually smells like clothes that have been in the dryer too long and come out smelling kind of burnt. Once it dries I still get that vanilla scent but with a woody/oriental undertone. It's warming and a great scent for winter however I don't think I could wear it in summer as I would imagine it would be quite heavy.

For an EDT it lasts for hours I don't need to top up during the day i can spray it at 7am and can still smell it at 7pm. It smells the same all day it doesn't change, it doesn't have all the different layers like some of my favourite fragrances do.

While it's nice I won't repurchase. It doesn't smell the way I remember or maybe it just suited my mumma but not me. For me the vanilla is too strong and overpowering.

This is my all time favourite fragrance! I love the vanilla tone it has to it! Unfortuantly it is quite expensive.

This perfume is amazing!! Although it is expensive, it's worth it. It has a very sophisticated scent to it, it's very vanillary. You only need one or two squirts and the scent lasts all day.

This has been my favourite perfume for the last 5 or so years. I find that it is a very unique smell and I love the strength of the vanilla notes that come through. Always get compliments every time I wear this.

I used this for few months and quite love the scent. It is expensive but lasts long and is a good quality for money. If you like vanilla smell then you'll definitely like this one.

This is one of those perfumes when you smell it you want to know what the person is wearing or it keeps bugging you as you know the smell but can't put your finger on it. I love it, literally you only need one or two sprays max. I have had the 100ml bottle for over 5 years and still have more than half left in the bottle as like I said you don't need much. It's pretty much vanilla scent super sweet but so unique. I'm not usually a sweet fragrance lover but this is an exception. It's very pricey but for a EDP that lasts forever it's worth it.

This fragrance reminds me of home while still making me feel sexy and comfortable. It seems to suit all occasions and all different types of people. It lasts throughout the day, leaves a lingering scent of something beautiful.

This is a fragrance I just love. They say the sign of a great fragrance for you is if you can't smell it on yourself....and I can't, but I get so many comments from random strangers and friends when I wear it.

The fusion of fragrances seem to be richer when my body heats up, or during exercise.

It's a fragrance you can wear every day and it's not overpowering, in fact I think it's amazing and certainly worth a try, especially if you love the musk, vanilla and jasmine blend as much as I do..... I tend to love wearing it more in the winter months

The bottle is gorgeous too and a little goes a long way. The bottle seems to last forever and that's me wearing it most days. and it smells as wonderful now as it did when I first opened the bottle.....
