I love this perfume. It's the only perfume that I've always rushed to replace once I run out! I frequently get compliments on this perfume. It lasts well, has a strong scent though I don't personally find overwhelming at all.
I have a lot of Christian Dior perfumes & I was given the pure poison as a gift. WOW it is certainly different to all the others. I do like the smell but I find it very over powering even with just one tiny spray. Maybe it is the sandalwood coming through. I sometimes just apply the body lotion & even that seems to last a long time on my skin. Probably the reason I don't wear it often is because it is so strong & I was always told you shouldn't be able to smell perfume on yourself. I guess it depends on the mood but I do prefer the tendre poison as I find it sexy & seductive & less over powering. I quite often choose what perfume to wear as to what colour clothes I am wearing & I specifically have perfumes for work & then ones for play & for evenings out. It can be very costly though...
Tips: You do not need to apply much so start with one spray & go from there
This has to be my all time favourite evening fragrance. It's sophisticated, alluring and long wearing. I love that it's unique and really love it when people ask me what perfume I'm wearing. A little goes a long way also so I've had the same bottle for quite a while. The bottle is pretty and easy to handle and looks great on my night stand. I will always have a bottle of pure poison handy for special occasions.
An absolutely stunning fragrance. Floral fragrance which lasts all day and even all night! Finely spray as this is a little heavy but beautiful a little more expensive however but totally worth it. I never forget the first time I smelt this fragrance. A lay had walked through the door of our pharmacy and above every other fragrance in store hers just seemed to follow her wherever she went. I asked her the name of this strangely different fragrance and have loved it ever since. Truly stunning!
Tips: Spray lightly as its a parfume and will linger for hours.
I have had this beautiful Dior perfume in my collection for as long as I can remember. It is one of my first loves and was the only reason I bought a Dior set of miniature perfumes when I was on my honeymoon. Needless to say I fell in love with the rest of the set but this still remains my first Dior perfume love.
So the Pure Poison bottle is cute round with four fins (ridges) swirling downwards around the bottle, which is pearled glass and it looks stunning sitting on any dresser or bedside table.
The scent is warm and somewhat complex... I'd like to say musk (maybe amber) jasmine and vanilla that lasts all day long. It's not a strong scent but it lasts all day without touch ups. It is worthy of the Dior brand and definitely Pure in the Poison range. It is uplifting and sensual, yet somewhat earthy and grounding, a scent unmistakable! I use to prefer it kept for special occasions but now I love it for daily wear, just when the mood takes me.
I received Pure Poison as a birthday gift and as my perfume motto is 'In Dior We Trust' I spritzed it on without a second thought. Big mistake!
The power of Pure Poison is truly overpowering - its a sickly sweet, floral to-the-max scent. To me it's indolic to the point of repulsion. And man does it linger. A good shower doesn't get rid of it!
I'm a major Dior fan and the Poison range is a bold set of scents that are not going to appeal to everyone, so maybe this one just isn't for me, I certainly would rank it as my least favourite perfume. Ever. Behind the smell of bin juice.
This is a fragrance I can spot a mile off, but not for good reason - to me its a migraineous trigger.
It's very floral, like super duper, really floral. Overly floral. A bouquet of the strongest smelling flowers ever.
As Dior fragrances go, this doesnt smell classy to me, it smells cheap and nasty.
I loved this perfume in my younger years, but as I've gotten older either my ol factory senses have changed or the way my own skin reacts with this has..
I have this perfume on my dresser at the moment as my daily wear perfume. It's subtle, which I like, but I feel as though it isn't the best of the series. Over the year and a half I've had it it's as if the perfume has lost its scent. It smells more like alcohol than perfume at the moment and I'm not sure if it's because it's nearly empty or why this has happened? I really love the packaging, but I'd rather buy another one in the range.
