Congrats Dove for creating a fantastic fake tan lotion, that keeps skin soft, well moisturised, no strong smell (like other fake tans), and because its a gradual tanning lotion, its very natural looking!
I have used this since it first came out and am a complete fan!
Tips: Exfoliate your skin, make sure you're hair-free before using, for that ultimate summer look!
I read the reviews on here and thought it wouldn't hurt to try a gradual tan as opposed to an all-out fake tan.
The first few days were really good, gradually made my skin a little less lily-white and a little more caramel brown however after those few days I had what appeared to be dry scabby patches on my legs.
So I've stopped using it and they've now disappeared. Coincidence, not sure. But I'll be exfoliating like there's no tomorrow before I put this on again just to see what the difference is.
So it's not bad, but for me it's not great. I think I'd rather stick with my Sugar Baby fake tan mousse in the long-term.
I use this product every year. A friend of my cousins reccomended it too me at the beach one year and she looks great. It's the only product she has ever used. I gave it a go and love it. You apply it just like a moisturiser. Generally I apply the next day after I have exfoliated and shaved. I use light to medium as my skin is very fair. Gradually it builds a natural looking tan.
Tips: I find that this product smells a bit, so to avoid smelling like it the best option is use it on a day off or use another moisturiser over the top of it like cocoa or coconut something with a strong smell :-)
After having tried numerous fake tanners and not getting good results - they were either too orange, too streaky or smelled gross - I decided to try something different and picked up this product.
I love the fact that you can gradually build it up while nourishing your skin and that it looks a lot more natural than the really fake ones out there. This is a relatively cheap, easy to find product that I think a lot of people would enjoy purchasing and giving a go.
Tips: Exfoliate your skin every couple days to keep it smooth which will mean that product goes on and stays on better and will look a lot more even.
No good for sensititve skin - Thought this product was going well, was starting to get a slight bronze colour happening, but then broke out in a rash that took over a week to go away. Was not expecting that, as I am usually find with Dove moisturisers. The smell was quite strong also.
Sometimes using a fake tan can be awkward, time consuming and annoying, as an alternative option you can use a moisturiser with a light colour in it such as Dove summer glow. This moisturiser is great for daily use and building up a gradual tan for a sun kissed look.
Tips: Wash your hands after application, although it is a light tan I found it can still get stuck in between your fingers
The minute I change from leggings to cropped under the knee capri leggings I get out the dove summer glow. Used for 2 days in a row, it is a good semi tanned colour. Then I use it twice weekly to keep it up. A fabulous moisturizer as well which gives your skin a sheen.
Tips: I use Vaseline Cocoa butter around the feet and ankles to dilute the Dove a bit as it is harder to keep the colour even on thicker skin.
I don't like using fake tans, so this is really nice. It just gives me a gradual looking tan. Without turning my legs orange!
I love this product as it's not really a tanning product to me, it's just a tinted moisturiser. It really is a subtle tanning lotion. I use it all the time in winter as my legs get very pasty white and this product helps give it a bit more colour without looking fake. It's easy to apply (I just slather it on), it doesn't streak on me and I haven't noticed it coming off on my clothing etc. There seem to be mixed reviews for this product so maybe just get a small bottle - if it doesn't work at least you won't have spent a fortune on it!
Tips: Use after showering & towel drying.
