I found this product to be good in terms of providing my skin with nourishing moisture and a very slight tint. However, if you are expecting a moisturizer that gives your skin an instant glow, then it is perhaps a good idea to look towards more of an instant bronzer. I used this product to nourish my skin after using an instant tanning product to maintain the appearance of the tan and it worked really well. I highly doubt that with it's very subtle hint of colour it would be sufficient for providing a bronzed look on pale or fair skin, but think it's great for those who have already achieved the bronzed look and want to maintain and nourish their tanned skin. I always like Dove moisturizing products and find that the thick formula is excellent for creating soft and supple skin - this product definitely did that whilst illuminating (rather than building) my tan.

I just finished a bottle of this stuff the other day and was very pleased with it. I have quite pale skin and so a gradual tanner like this is exactly what I need. It is easy to apply, the colour is very buildable which is good, and it is non-orange. The smell is a bit funky (like most fake tans) and tends to linger quite a while. Overall, a good product for a good price.
Tips: Ensure to exfoliate well prior to using!
I tried this one, in the vain hope that I would be able to escape my year round pasty-whiteness. But alas! It (slowly) turned my legs orangey, as well as the palms of my hands. But not even fake-tan orange.... I still looked pasty-white, but with a orange tinge. It was strange, and certainly not a good look. My legs were silky smooth and moisturized though, so that was nice.
Tips: I'm sure it would work wonders as a tan-maintaining moisturiser between self or spray tans, but doesn't work from scratch.
I find this a perfect match for my skin. Gives my skin a just kissed by the sun glow, not a over-done/over baked look.
If I want to intensify the look, I just repeat the next day. But I am usually happy with one application.
This is my favourite gradual tanner, I like the smell and it does feel moisterising as well. It gives a nice colour, not too orange. I like that it is easily available from supermarkets etc and it is not an expensive product. And also that it is such an easy tanner to use, real fake tan kind of scares me so I like that this will just give me a subtle result and I can build it up if I want to.
Tips: I have pale, dry skin. I use a normal lotion first and then put this on after. I also don't use it everyday otherwise it will get too dark. Once you get the colour you like, use it every two or three days to top it up and make sure you wash your hands well afterwards!
I am not a fan of tanning beds and spray on tans are too messy, so doves gradual tan is brilliant! it coloured up nice and nice natural (had to watch my knees though as they tended to soak up colour and go orange) and if i wanted a darker or lighter tan i just adjusted the amount of coats i put on. it didnt stain my hands if i washed off straight away and it doesnt smell as weird as other gradual tanning lotions. i love that it moisturised at the same time! It doesnt last long but i dont mind that as i think we need to learn to be comfortable in our natural skin too, but was nice to put on a day or so before a special outing :)
Tips: do a practice run first when you will be home the next couple of days and just experiment, its great to put on a day or so before a big outing so it has time to settle a bit :)
i really like this product , i don't have time to go to tanning beds or get a spray tan so this is perfect, i just apply it after my shower .its also not streaky which is a plus:)
Tips: Remember to exfoliate before the first application so the tan goes on nicely and not streaky
I use this lotion at the beginning of "short season" to stop snowblinding people with my white legs! Its really does only take a couple of days to make a difference and unlike fake tans it is really easy to apply and smells nice!
Tips: Apply body lotion to your knees, elbows and ankles first to stop them from over tanning
I've tried many self tanners and gradual tanners. It's really one of those ones you have to try for yourself to see if the tone suits you. It didn't suit me due to the end colour, the smell and the length of time it took for the colour to build up. It really is a gradual tanner. But as it's not too expensive why not try it and see if it's for you.
I have tried what i feel like is almost all of the gradual tanners out there and i have to say that this is my least fave of the bunch. If you are new to the product you would probably think it does a good job and it does its more then acceptable and a pretty good price. But there are just better products out there which give a more natural colour pay off, quicker and are better lasting. This would be a good entry level gradual tanner i think.. You pretty much cant complain for the price and anything is better than getting sun burnt right? =)
Tips: If you are expecting a pretty quick burst of colour, use this in conjunction with a self tanner to keep your tan maintained between self tanner applications. I feel like this is slower to develop and build up a colour than other gradual tanners i have tried!
