This makes your skin glow but it is not instant so i recommend applying this product at least a few days before if it is for a special day. The smell is really bad which puts me off the product so make sure you have windows open when applying. This product is perfect for people that don't have much time to tan because they can moisturise and tan at the same time. If the smell wasn't bad this would be my holy grail.

I don't usually like fake tanning, but decided to try one last summer. I decided upon Dove Summer Glow and have never regretted it. When applied properly using small circular motions, Dove Summer Glow creates a natural looking and even tan. Do ensure that you apply cautiously however, as rushing the process and simply spreading on the lotion will cause an uneven and spotty tan.
Tips: Apply as directed to ensure an even and natural tan. Be careful with what shade you choose, as deciding on a darker shade will cause an orange tone.
Fake tan and me have a love-hate relationship, and unfortunately my experience with this product leans more towards 'hate' than 'love'. The bottle boasts that it will give your skin a 'natural' looking tan gradually, what it did in fact do was turn me yellow; which to be fair is a natural look, but not a healthy or appealing one.I guess I could be 'too pale' for fake tan, but the bottle swatches showing 'before and after' weren't too much darker than me.
The second thing that disappointed me about this self-tan was the sheer greasiness of it and how it seemed to sit on top of the skin rather than sinking in like it promised to do. I waited about an hour for it to 'fully absorb'- hoping that the greasiness would disappear, but nope.
Overall I would not recommend this product to people with very fair skin, but perhaps people with different skin tones might have more luck than I did.
This is my favourite self tanning moisturiser. It smells good (compared to other tanners) and it is nice and creamy. You see results within hours and I rarely get streaks.
Tips: Exfoliate your elbows, knees and and other dry skin, then apply some regular moisturiser. Once this has soaked in apply the Summer Glow - this way you won't get that orange patchiness many experience.
This is product is amazing! It is my go to Summer moisturiser and tanner combo all in one! :) The scent is delicious too, which is an added bonus !
It really is a great moisturiser for dry summer legs, but the thing i love the most is that it gradually builds a natural looking sun-kissed tan over your whole body! Doesn't look orange or uneven, it's very simple to use and apply, just like applying any moisturiser.
I've used heaps of different tanning creams and lotions and have found this one is my all time favourite !!
Comes in a freestanding bottle and doesn't leak at all which is great for packing in your overnight bag or beach bag ! And one bottle lasts me all Summer long, so very good value for money
Is very well priced and can be purchased from any supermarket :)
I highly recommend this Dove Summer Glow moisturising tanning cream, it's fabulous and a must-have for all women looking for the gorgeous sun-kissed glow this Summer
The difficulty with this is that you apply it to the areas you want tanned like a moisturiser, and then the tan shows up the next day. For me this meant that I would end up with a really nice realistic looking tan that I would have to scrub off because I would miss one spot. I'm pretty pale and the tan usually ended up looking nice but it was pretty hit and miss for me whether it would be even or not, especially when blending around ankles, I always ended up with orange ankles and tanned legs. This does a nice job of moisturizing skin as well.
Tips: Exfoliate your skin before apply as this goes orange on dry skin. And scrub your hands to prevent them from getting tanned too! Apply after you have showered.
I'm about as fair skinned as they come and struggle to tan without burning and simply damaging my skin in the sun. Even still...I don't want to scare people including myself out on the beach with my reflective pale complexion (have your sunglasses at the ready!) This stuff is a life saver. It has been a staple in my cupboard for a few years now and I love it more every year. It builds a natural looking tan that lasts without giving you that undesirable shade of 'fake orange' some people get. If you're looking to add colour to fair skin or boost colour on already tanned skin this is for you!
Update 01/03/2015
After trying a couple of other tanning products this summer I've learned that this product isn't the miracle worker I thought it was a miracle worker...compared with other products this does in fact leave my skin looking too fake and orangey, and even when applied lightly with a mitt I've had streaks and an overall uneven looking application. It doesn't colour my legs as well as others have, and the colour doesn't last very long - it's as if the colour builds for two days then just stops. The lingering scent is a little hit or miss too. The only thing I've used it for this summer is to occasionally help moisturise and maintain the colour achieved from other products. Even then there was no mistaking the orangey yellow tint it gave my skin. I had to remove three lippies - one for each criteria; whether it did what it said it would and whether or not I would use it again and one for whether I would refer it to a friend. It's a good product if you're looking to start experimenting with fake tanning but don't be afraid to branch out and try something else too, there are much better products out there.
Tips: Improve the finish by using a tanning mitt to help buff it into your skin and avoid streaking. I picked up a cheap one from Kmart!
If you're looking for a quick and easy tan the Dove Summer Glow is the product for you! Its so affordable and it is literally sold anywhere! I purchase this from my local super market :) I was really happy with my results! I would apply the tan before I went to bed and then in the morning I would be so happy with the results! I find after a week or so the tan will start to go patchy so I would remove it and then re apply :) the colour was great for me and my friends would comment on how tan I looked!! You either love or hate the smell of this product - I love it :) I recommend you giving the Dove Summer Glow a go!
Tips: Apply normal moisturiser to parts of your body that are dry before applying this :)
Sadly, make me go orange :/ Smelt weird and stuck to my under arms, inner elbow creases (and elbow) around my belly button and knees. Not a fan!
This moisturiser is awesome for someone who is a bit iffy about "going the whole hog" with something like a spray tan. Its light and non greasy and has a nice smell. I liked the golden tone it gave my skin and the fact that it gradually made my skin look tan, rather than going from "albino brown" to "oompa loompa orange" I love that it is a decent sized bottle and its reasonably priced, especially when its on sale. Will definitely be using again in summer. THUMBS UP!
