Dove Summer Glow Review

Other than being a tad dry and very pale, i have pretty normal skin, not overly sensitive or anything like that. Having tried the Johnsons gradual self tan and loving that i tried this out as well to get a good comparison and my experience was terrible. I put one coat on my legs, washed my hands and left them to dry. The next day my feet and between my fingers were incredibly itchy and within a week i had full blown Hives covering my entire body. Will never, EVER touch the stuff again.

This product has good points and bad. On the good side it does give you an almost natural gradual tan, is easy to apply and a good moisturiser. I do like the way it builds up slowly so you can be as light or dark as you want. On the down side it has a slightly strong smell after a while and takes a while to dry before you can put on clothes. But overall I do like the final result, like any tanner you do need to be careful though to get a nice even natural look.

This product is ok, the smell is really strong even once dried reminds me old spice with cream. It does leave a golden glow but not instantly so i recommend using it at least a week before you want to shine. Dove tanning lotion does need to be applied evenly or you can have different coloured patches on the skin and don't forget to wash your hands as it does eventually stain.It has a thick creamy texture and the bottle is well designed to hold

I love this for when I'm tanning and want to hide any ugly scars and I use it after I shave my legs and it makes them feel so sticky but it still makes my skin complexion look amazing ! I love how it give me such a natural tan boost and how it is so easy to carry. But what I hate is how it gets all stuck around the edges of the bottle.

I enjoy using this in summer - it's cheap and easy to apply (basically mistake proof) and gives a nice tanned look. The colour is quite natural on me (a pale olive person) and it does not take too long to sink in.

I normally only ever bother to put this on my legs and I'm not too fussed with daily application.

I purchased this from the Warehouse sometime ago. I use it mainly on my legs. I have mine in normal to dark skin. After i have a shower I apply this to my legs. The product itself is a light pink thick cream which once applied will give your skin a sun-kissed glow and will build a gradual light tan.

I love the way this works on my skin. It comes in really handy in winter if I want to look tan for something. This is a moisturiser that i use all year round. It's relatively easy to apply though I would make sure you get even application as if not applied properly can look patchy. I always like to make sure that i get it on my feet and keeping my knee straight when apply so I don't get orange patches in these areas.

I love the smell its a fresh floral scent. My skin feels hydrated and soft. The tan itself gives a nice light one which is noticeable after just one application. It's crazy affordable. I picked up a big pump bottle of it today at Pak N Save for only $5.00 I'm currently using a 250ml bottle of it.

I brought this product when it first came out and then about 6 months ago for summers. I thought the scent of this product was awful when I first brought so I thought maybe a couple of years after making they would have done something different with the scent but nope it is still the same. However, I did like how it gave a gradual glow to your skin and it builded when you keep applying it each day. However, you have to work into the lotion ever good and small amount to the knees, ankles, elbows and wrists so the colour soaks in properly. This will not make the tan your have look weird and patchy. Overall, I would most likely not buy this product again and just get out in the sun with sunblock of course and the protective gear.and get my tan that way.

I really liked the natural glow this leaves. After just one application you can see a difference. It doesn't smell that great but i've smelt worse in other tans. It gives an even tan, no streaks if you apply properly.

Over about a week using in the morning and evening, I saw the progress come along as a little bit off a summery glow/tan built. Although I used the fair skin one I found that it still looked a little bit more orangy on me than natural and sometimes It would be quite patchy! really moisturising though and overall quite good!

I have naturally olive skin and I love love love this product, not only for the subtle tan it provides but as a good body moisturiser as well. It is non greasy and left my skin looking naturally tanned with no weird build up in areas like the ankles, knees and hands and no orangish tinge that many self tanning products provide. It is a great product to use on the legs when coming into spring/ summer when suffering from dull winter skin and wanting to pull out those summer frocks that have been hiding in the closet.
