Dove Summer Glow Review

Let me start by saying I am very pale like a ghost. I do not sit out in the sun as I burn, go red as a lobster then peel. I had never used a gradual tanner before but after blinding my workmates after wearing shorts to work I decided to give this a go.

It comes in a 400ml plastic bottle which looks like a standard dove moisturiser. I got the one for fair to medium skin. It is easy to squeeze out and is quite thick in consistency. I don't mind the smell it is quite fresh and doesn't smell like fake tan to me. I just simply apply like I would my moisturiser. Making sure to rub it in well especially around my knees and ankles.

It feels a bit sticky afterwards and it does take a bit of time to dry. It's not an issue for me as I only use it at night so I apply it then sit back and relax. But keep that in mind if you intend to use it before you head out. It only takes me 3 uses to get a lovely looking glow on that looks nice and natural.

I really like the results and it does not go streaky at all. I will definitely continue to use it over summer. A great priced gradual tanner and a good sized bottle. Totally recommend for us pale ladies.

Mum put me onto this would you believe, and now I always have a spare bottle in the cabinet over summer! This is a gradual tanner that works best if you apply it after a shower. It takes about two-three days to be noticed, but the great thing Apis that it is forgiving! There are no streaks and it looks golden and natural. It rubs on as a creamy lotion.

I think we can all agree we secretly love this stuff. It has a very summery signature scent, and ya girl can smell it from a mile away. One of my fave things is pulling this tanner out after the winter and breathing in the smell of the summer to come :-) it has omen of those crappy clip lids that always break off, but the actual product is legit. Cheap and effective. It’s not like Bondi or sugar baby but this product is for the kid who is subtle and all about developing the tan over time. It is also a fantastic moisturiser.

The shade I’m using is the medium to dark and at first I was a bit worried just looking at the packaging but after using it for awhile now I’m not entirely happy with the shade. I’d say I have quite a medium semi olive skin tone, not dark but not light either. I definitely would recommend the medium to dark colour for paler skin tones to just because it is a gradual tan which means it isn’t dark straight away so I feel like it would be perfect for 2 or 3 shades lighter than me. Applying it once you get a pretty natural colour. I’ve definitely noticed that applying everyday will create a darker colour which is good because you can choose the colour you want. The scent is nice and the product also doesn’t streak that much either. You just have to make sure you’re applying it thoroughly.

Dove summer glow is easy to apply as you are only putting on a little amount of tanning ingredient at a time. Experiment with this moisturiser so you can see how it works on you. I am a fan of Sugar Baby and this product is the same awesome colour!

I can't go without this moisturizer, I use it everyday as a face cream as it keeps my face from not being super pale because I wear foundation almost everyday. Also my skin breaks out from pretty much every other moisturizer that I've tried so it's my only choice lol. I use the medium to dark shade and it works great for my naturally light skin tone by giving me a nice light golden glow within a couple of hours and fully soaks in by then leaving me with nice smooth skin.It's also great to use to pro long or enhance your natural tan or fake tan. I would recommend to anyone as it it affordable and easy to find at your local supermarket

This is a lovely moisturiser and works well as a Moisuriser it’s also great at gradually building up your tan.although you do have to be careful around the knees, ankles etc as they tend to darken quicker. The only thing I didn’t like was the smell of the Dove in fact I had someone comment and ask if I was using it as they could smell it, put me off a little

i bought this at the supermarket. the words summer glow had me curious, and i usually like dove. its a good brand.

the smell is quite nice, i really only use this on my legs though so its not too noticeable. the lotion is off white but when it dries on the lid its brown.

it is a very gradual tanner, but you have to use it every day to get any coloring out of it. it rubs in easily. it took too long to make me look tanned but i felt like my legs were more moisturized.

Being quite fair I definitely need a bit of a top up to mask that ghostly appearance.

Ive been using a bottle of this and it seems to keep going and going. A little seems to go a long way moisturising but in terms of building colour it's quite slow.

It's a pleasant smell that doesn't smell like fake tan. Also it doesn't seem sticky it dries quite nicely so your free to dress or sleep without worrying it will rub off onto your clothes or pants. A nice creamy solution that adds moisture to keep the legs smooth and unscaly.

The tint thought is just a tint for me. I guess that's a good thing in a way as it means I don't have to worry about tan lines. But I find I have to keep on top of using this to keep up the tint it adds to my legs.. if I miss a day all my previous efforts gone.

Despite the constant use it's not bad for the price a tint and moisturiser in one is pretty good. If you want a tan though - keep shopping.
