This product is ok, the smell is really strong even once dried reminds me old spice with cream. It does leave a golden glow but not instantly so i recommend using it at least a week before you want to shine. Dove tanning lotion does need to be applied evenly or you can have different coloured patches on the skin and don't forget to wash your hands as it does eventually stain. It has a thick creamy texture and the bottle is well designed to hold

I enjoy using this in summer - it's cheap and easy to apply (basically mistake proof) and gives a nice tanned look. The colour is quite natural on me (a pale olive person) and it does not take too long to sink in.
I normally only ever bother to put this on my legs and I'm not too fussed with daily application.
Tips: Be careful of any dry patches! Moisturise them before application.
Sometimes when using this product its great and I look really nice and other I turn really orange! I use the same method and amount everytime so don't understand why this happens. Aside from that its a good product and smells AMAZING
Tips: Moisturise knees and feel first if you are tanning your legs. I learnt that the hard way :P
I'm someone who has fairly pale skin and a keen eye for anything orange. With my skin tone it didn't turn out as 'brown' as i would have hoped but it left my legs feeling really supple and hydrated (this is coming from one who deals with extremely dry legs 24/7!)
Tips: id recommend this to anyone with a naturally more tan complexion who is just wanting that hint of sun!
I buy this product regularly mainly as its fairly cheap and I can but a big bottle and it will last a while. Unfortunately it has that tell-tale fake tan smell... It does provide a golden glow, and is fairly streak free.
I like the natural glow this lotion gives to my skin. It's not orange or streaky, it's not glittery or shimmery, it doesn't collect around my knees or elbows, and it fades naturally without looking splotchy or uneven. I also like the fact it's a moisturiser too - I think my dry skin would experience patchiness with a true self-tanner, but no problems with this.
I do have a few issues with this product, though. Firstly, the smell. I find it really gross! It's very 'biscuit-y' in scent. Secondly, it doesn't really soak into my skin very well, and it being a tanning product, I'm always afraid I'm going to stain clothing or towels or bedsheets or furniture. It hasn't happened yet but perhaps that's because I'm careful?
Tips: Make sure to wash your hands immediately after applying!
I get the best results when I let this set on my skin for as long as possible (12-24 hours). When I shower next, I gently wash all over with a loofah just to get all of the stickiness and residue off. It leaves me with a natural glow!
Ok I first purchased this in the darker shade expecting that it wouldnt have much colour to it! Wrong!
I slathered it on hoping for some colour before braving a dress the next day and colour I got! Too much actually... I must have used too much, it was orange and streaky! I totally underestimated the tanning power!
I purchased the lighter shade and applied it sparingly, over a few days I built up a nice colour. Much better!
Tips: Exfoliate first! Use after the shower and use sparingly :)
I've used many tanning products, this was one of the first products i tried.. Its defintley nowhere near as good as the foam tan "loving tan" which is my go to when i can afford it, but for its price i think its great, it does tan you but i find when i use it on my overall body it doesnt seem to go on well, when i use it on my cleanly shaved legs tho it works great. its a good tan if you are planning to go out in a short dress and just want to slap some quick cheap tan on.
Tips: Make sure you througholy apply it to your legs and feet otherwise you can end up looking patchy and sort of dirty if you miss places.
This is the original OG gradient self tanning lotion. It comes in 2 shades - light to medium and medium to dark. I choose the fair shade because I am naturally really fair and it gives me a lovely hint of color first time I use it and the color deepens every time you use it so it definitely is buildable. What I like about gradient fake tanners is that it doesn't look super obvious when it's fading and also the results are really natural and not obvious. I love that this does not stain my hands and feet and that it doesn't require a special glove to apply it. The way I use this is apply it normally like I would with a body lotion all over my body in circular motions, making sure I get all of my skin. The downside to this is that there is no color when you put it on so you don't know where you have applied it. This develops in about 8 hours I will start to notice my skin looks a tint darker and more glowy. Generally I liked the results of the gradient tan lotion but I really, really disliked the smell. The smell put me off.. To me it smells really fake tanny and has that distinctive sunless tanner smell. For that I cannot give this lotion a 5/5.
This product has good points and bad. On the good side it does give you an almost natural gradual tan, is easy to apply and a good moisturiser. I do like the way it builds up slowly so you can be as light or dark as you want. On the down side it has a slightly strong smell after a while and takes a while to dry before you can put on clothes. But overall I do like the final result, like any tanner you do need to be careful though to get a nice even natural look.
Tips: Wash hands well after applying and don't apply to really dry skin as it can soak in unevenly.
