As far as gradual tanners go, this one is okay! It doesn't smell terrible but you can still notice a hint of that fake tan smell (one day someone will develop one that smells 100% delicious, I hope!) The tan builds up naturally and the colour doesn't look too fake, although it can be hard to get the application smooth and even.

Tips: Apply regular moisturiser to dry and tricky patches like knees and ankles before rubbing this stuff in. And wash your hands IMMEDIATELY afterwards!
I am sooo pale so when ever I want to be abit tanner on my legs I put this on the night before then wash it off in the morning as I dont like the smell of it after it has been put on. Leaves me with a natural look, the only people who notice i have it on is the people who know how white I really am haha
Tips: I get the lightest one and I put it on a few times so do the first coat let it dry then do the 2nd coat and sometimes a 3rd coat just depends how dark I want to be, Reason I get the lightest one is for that reason I can put it on more then once for a more darker look. Not a fan of being pale haha
I do love what it does, I only ever use it on my legs and for an olive skinned person, I use the lighter one on my legs and its a very natural colour. But the smell of it is kind of stinky, it smells nice when I apply it, but after a while (I guess when its working) the smell is kind of chemically. But the tip to avoid this is to pop it on 30 mins before bed and you don't get the side effect smell
Tips: Put on 30 mins before bed to avoid the smell that occurs from driving you nuts
I am someone who cannot bring myself to sunbathe or allow myself to burn (slip, slop, slap and wrap for me!) so self tanners would be great, if I could find one that isnt streaky.
This product is pretty good, it did give me a nice tan but even with proper skin prep I did notice it was a bit patchy in places as it got darker, not overly noticeable from a distance but you could see it close up which could be a tad embarassing.
I used it after a spray tan and it worked really well, it helped prolong my tan which was great so for me this product has been a bit hit and miss so its hard to say if I like it or not!!
I have used this a few times. I find that it's quite a dark colour, so maybe not suitable for fair skin types. The colour is nice but it can be a bit tricky to not get patches as it takes a while for the colour to 'change'. I found around my ankles and elbows particularly patchy but maybe I just did it wrong?! I would use again but here are better self tanning products out there.
Dove Summer Glow is great for building up a gradual natural looking tan. You need a few application to get some colour showing so it's not for those wanting instant colour. It is easy to apply and smells better than a lot of fake tans. The cream is moisturising too. I would use it again. I just have to remember to put it on! Dove Summer glow is affordable & good value for money. It's available at most supermarkets too.
Tips: Exfoliate well beforehand, leave to dry completely before dressing & don't forget to wash your hands! For a faster build up of colour, apply morning & evening.
I have super pale skin, especially my legs, I was recommended this product as there is one for us fair skin ladies, I used it every 2days as I was terrified of going orange, it was working ok for the first 2 or 3 applications, then I went orange and streaky, maybe it is just my skin, but was kinda gutted with the result
It gave a light very nice tan after using it 2-3 times. Smells average but lovely for a tanning cream as these usually don't smell to pleasant. Would defiantly use it again, maybe with another tanning cream as well.
I have fair skin, but I use the summer glow for medium to dark skin. I find that it is still gradual, but I don't need to do as many applications, so it saves time and product. It is easy to apply, not too thick so spreads on well, and as it is quite greasy you can tell where you have applied and don't miss any spots. I even find it easy to put on my own back. I find it works really well as a moisturiser too.It makes my skin soft, and I feel like it helps with break outs a little bit. I have sensitive skin, some moisturisers give me a rash, but not this one.
On the negative side, I don't like the smell and it leaves me feeling a bit slimy all day or night (I usually put it on at night so I can wash it off in the morning, and don't have to wear it around as I hate the feeling). Sometimes I have to shower twice to completely remove the smell and slimy feel.
In saying that, it is the best tanner I've used so far, and I love the results, so I continue to use it. A few improvements could help but otherwise, great product.
NB: When i have used the one for fair to medium skin in the past I haven't noticed much of a tan until I have applied it several times... So I'm not too impressed with the light shade, but I like the dark one!
Tips: Go for the one for medium to dark skin, even if you have fair skin.
Don't apply straight after shaving your legs.
This is a great product for those wanting a very subtle glow without risking becoming an Oompa Loompa or ending up with a streaky finish. Gradually builds over several applications to a light tan. The scent is relatively pleasant for a fake tan and fades quickly. Best supermarket product out there.
Tips: For more even and gradual coverage, mix it with your usual moisturiser when applying.
