Dove Summer Glow Review

This is a lovely moisturiser with the added bonus of giving a nice natural looking tan. Gradual build up of a natural tan if using daily, no streaks or orange glow, and at an affordable price. Comes in 2 sizes, and the smaller one is ideal for taking on holiday so you can keep up the daily application. I use immediately after bathing, and generally dont wait for it to dry completely before dressing. It never affects the tan, or my clothing. A good product for a natural sun kissed look.

If you don't want to do a full on tanning application then this is a great everyday product, not strong smelling, easy to apply and doesn't stain hands. Use post shower and exfoliations and it's pretty even streak free. It's not going to give you full on tanning coverage but a little colour and smooth summoner sun kissed look.

I've used many a fake tan and have got to say I find this to be the least annoying! It goes on evenly and develops into a natural sun kissed look and gradually builds. Although, as with most fake tans it is good to have a bit of natural colour to enhance.

Used the light colour on my Scottish, white skin...Gives a nice natural colour when used every day.. Drawback is that still has a funny smell tho!!

I really enjoy using this product - it smells nice, is easy to apply, soaks in and leaves your skin feeling moisturised as well as tanned. Doesn't leave stains on your hands and doesnt leave streaks - a really nice natural colour and even result. The only thing I find a drawback is it does tend to leave darker results on dry or thick areas of skin - such as knees, toe knuckles, and heels/ankles. Make sure you use a good exfoliator and deep moisturiser before hand to prep these areas.

I like how you don't get streaks or tan lines, and you don't need to wait for it to dry. makes your skin feel good too, take a couple of days to build your tan though and you need to keep applying it everyday.

I use this product on my arms and legs at the start of the season and then occasionally throughout the summer. I have found the best way to apply is to shower first, apply a moisturising lotion - wait 5 minutes - and then apply to the arms and legs and this helps prevent streaking and uneven patches. I am not so sure that I like the fragrance as to mee all self tan products tend to have a 'lasting' smell. It is definitely better than most, and if you use for a couple of days to give you a light tan it does not seem to go orange but rather a golden colour.

I love the fact that this product provides a gradual build up which safeguards against any orange looking fake tan diasters! Great product that goes on smoothly and is not greasy. This is my trustly year long gradual build up tane and being a rather fair skinned person I find I dont have to use it too many times before I get desired tan.

I'm about as fair skinned as they come and struggle to tan without burning and simply damaging my skin in the sun. Even still...I don't want to scare people including myself out on the beach with my reflective pale complexion (have your sunglasses at the ready!) This stuff is a life saver. It has been a staple in my cupboard for a few years now and I love it more every year. It builds a natural looking tan that lasts without giving you that undesirable shade of 'fake orange' some people get. If you're looking to add colour to fair skin or boost colour on already tanned skin this is for you!

After trying a couple of other tanning products this summer I've learned that this product isn't the miracle worker I thought it was a miracle worker...compared with other products this does in fact leave my skin looking too fake and orangey, and even when applied lightly with a mitt I've had streaks and an overall uneven looking application. It doesn't colour my legs as well as others have, and the colour doesn't last very long - it's as if the colour builds for two days then just stops. The lingering scent is a little hit or miss too. The only thing I've used it for this summer is to occasionally help moisturise and maintain the colour achieved from other products. Even then there was no mistaking the orangey yellow tint it gave my skin. I had to remove three lippies - one for each criteria; whether it did what it said it would and whether or not I would use it again and one for whether I would refer it to a friend. It's a good product if you're looking to start experimenting with fake tanning but don't be afraid to branch out and try something else too, there are much better products out there.
