Dove Summer Glow Review

I love this! Most people would say that brown/darker skins do not need a tan but why not give it an extra bit of glow, in my opinion :). Well I used the medium-dark dove summer glow to do just that. I do go quite dark during summer but liked the fact that this gave a natural glow to my skin. The scent is lovely, not overpowering. It's not sticky and applies evenly.

I've always been super nervous about any kind of tanning product as I have quite fair skin and hints of ginger in my hair so thought I could so easily end up bright orange! I still haven't ventured to any full on fake tans but I love love love Dove Summer Glow. I use it daily for a few weeks and it builds up a gradual tan that looks so natural! I've never had any issues with going orange and find that it's a great moisturiser as well...bonus! My only downside is that I can never get the last bits out of the bottle, this is a seriously life saving product for pale old me.

I love this product, its the first "fake tan" i have ever used and i love it.. i have extremely sensitive skin and im covered in eczema, hence why i was very reluctant to try this. however i went on holiday to aussie and (i am very pale) wanted to go back with a tan.. i looked at many different types but for the price of Dove i couldnt say no. so i used it for a week and feel in love, i was scared id turn orange but i didnt :) when i got back from my holiday everyone was commenting how wonderful my tan was, i now use it for if a have a special event coming up or just to get ride of my paleness, i wouldnt like twice about buying again! also it lasts for a long time as you dont need to use at lot of it :)

This is great for those times in winter when you can't cope with those white legs and you are going to the thermal pools in Rotorua or somewhere and you need to look a little sun kissed. It is very subtle and natural it doesn't streak. Your boyfriend will never know, noone will know because it looks so natural. I get the light to medium one in winter and the dark one at the beginning of summer till my legs look brown again. I have pale to medium skin. There's no orange or streakiness in this its better then expensive ones I've tried.

This lotion moisturises very well, sinking into the skin and nourishing it, with the added benefit of providing a gentle build up of tan. Use as often or seldom as you like to get the colour you prefer. I did find it would get fairly orange if you went too dark / applied it too often. I'd recommend it but probably won't repurchase it myself as I no longer use fake tanners.

I love using a gradual tanner year round to top up my tan in Summer, and keep my skin looking sun-kissed throughout the Winter. Dove Summer Glow is an affordable, no fuss gradual tanner that delivers great colour and moisturises my skin. Most recently I have been using the medium to dark version, and although I wouldn’t class myself as dark (especially coming into Winter), the colour has been looking quite natural, as long as I don’t use it every day. On days that I do use it, I apply the same amount that I would apply a normal moisturiser. Sometimes I do notice darker patches around my ankles/wrists, but they are not overly noticeable and I just substitute a normal moisturiser for the next few days. The scent isn’t my favourite, but it doesn’t seem to linger too long, and I have never noticed the product staining my hands or any clothing/towels - and I apply clothes straight after applying the product. Overall the product is reliable and great value for money.

I have used this stuff for years it’s pretty cheap and you can find it pretty much anywhere,you don’t need to use a mitt to apply it,I’ve always just used my hands but always wash my hands after applying it to each leg and always make sure it’s rubbed in properly on your knees and ankle areas,I’m fair skinned so always get the light/medium I find that after I’ve exfoliated and applied it it more often than not makes my legs itchy for a little while after I’ve put it on but that stops after 30 mins,you can re apply for a darker tan or if you find it’s faded after a couple days just re apply and it evens it all out again,the only thing I don’t like about it is it comes off to quickly even if I haven’t scrubbed my legs in the shower it just disappears
