Dove Summer Glow Review

Mum put me onto this would you believe, and now I always have a spare bottle in the cabinet over summer! This is a gradual tanner that works best if you apply it after a shower. It takes about two-three days to be noticed, but the great thing Apis that it is forgiving! There are no streaks and it looks golden and natural. It rubs on as a creamy lotion.

I think we can all agree we secretly love this stuff. It has a very summery signature scent, and ya girl can smell it from a mile away. One of my fave things is pulling this tanner out after the winter and breathing in the smell of the summer to come :-) it has omen of those crappy clip lids that always break off, but the actual product is legit. Cheap and effective. It’s not like Bondi or sugar baby but this product is for the kid who is subtle and all about developing the tan over time. It is also a fantastic moisturiser.

Dove summer glow is easy to apply as you are only putting on a little amount of tanning ingredient at a time. Experiment with this moisturiser so you can see how it works on you. I am a fan of Sugar Baby and this product is the same awesome colour!

I can't go without this moisturizer, I use it everyday as a face cream as it keeps my face from not being super pale because I wear foundation almost everyday. Also my skin breaks out from pretty much every other moisturizer that I've tried so it's my only choice lol. I use the medium to dark shade and it works great for my naturally light skin tone by giving me a nice light golden glow within a couple of hours and fully soaks in by then leaving me with nice smooth skin.It's also great to use to pro long or enhance your natural tan or fake tan. I would recommend to anyone as it it affordable and easy to find at your local supermarket

Love this product ! I apply it after my shower at night . One coat to my whole body . Wake up in the morning and I’m brown . Don’t seem to get this result from any other cream tanning products . Great for moisture aswell . Need to apply with caution ........ can still get lines around ankle and knee area if not careful and must wash hands after application . Really like this product for an everyday topup of my tan during the summer and winter - not dark enough if I was going out to a formal event .

I am absolutely crushing on this. I have had the same bottle for two summers now. Its proved to be effective and long lasting.

I am the Casper of the family and I don’t usually mind my pale skin but I do like a little tan on the legs. So I apply this after my shower at night.

The bottle is huge! It’s a nice creamy solution with a pleasant scent.. being honest there is also the most faint tan scent that can be detected but it’s short lived.

Light colour cream that’s quickly absorbed so I’ve never seen it mark my clothes or bedding.

I love that it lightly builds my tan as I am definitely not an all over tanner so don’t want to look too mismatched I don’t spread tan and don’t really have a lot of skin prep time so this is perfect it moisturises and builds a tan. Perfect for my lead up to Christmas.

I love this product, its my must have for a gradual tan. Great size bottles and easy to find in most supermarkets. The consistency of the product is quite nice and thick and sometimes can be a bit harder to get out of the bottle but it goes on your skin nice and even and it has a bit of a scent but its not too overpowering. When i first started using it i put it on before bed and then had a nice colour in the morning but could remove the smell in the shower it didn't take to long to get used to it and i now quite like it. I find it really good to use everyday to build up a bit of colour and then every second to third day just to maintain. Its a good moisturiser and doesn't leave you orange its a nice natural subtle colour. Worth a try especially for the price.

i actually despise fake tan. The routine itself is exhausting and in my experience no amount of exfoliating or after care pays off- long story short if it doesn’t look terrible it still looks ‘fake’.

This is why I gravitate more towards gradual tanners and usually use them in summer just to top up my natural tan. Other brands of gradual tanners seem to appear orange-ish when I’d use them on my very fair skin in winter.

I hadn’t tried the dove one before but it’s now a regular in my routine. I had no issues even on my super fair winter skin at the beginning of summer (I’ve only tried the medium-dark shade) I apply it at night and am easily 1 - 2 shades darker by morning. If I want to be super tan, I’ll just use it several days in a row but I can easily stay a nice shade just by using it every second or even third night.

The downside? I haaaate the scent. So so much. It’s actually nice to start with but after a while you’ll notice that very strong typical fake tan smell. I am quite sensitive to strong scents and have had to rinse it off a couple times coz I just couldn’t stand it while trying to sleep. I’ll die and go to heaven the day they bring out a scent-free version of this!

This is my go to moisturiser for a healthy natural tanned look while adding moisture to dry skin. If you want to look darker just keep using it daily until you are happy with your colour. It brightens any faded tan, great in spring when you haven’t seen the sun. Doesn’t streak, a subtle couple of shades darker. I always get good comments when I use summer glow.
