After twice daily use for at least 3 weeks I have noticed a sun spot doesn’t stand out so much so the serum has toned it down a little. I felt I needed at least double the 2-3 drops as recommended. It didn’t spread very far. I haven’t noticed any difference in wrinkle reduction. For $80 I probably wouldn’t buy it again.

Reviews
I was thrilled to be chosen for this review. I love Dr. Lewinn's skin care range and have used many in the past.
As with this whole range, the packaging is simple and clean. It has a drop applicator inbuilt to the screw-top lid which is pretty great. I worked out fairly quickly that the best way to fill up the applicator is to depress the top first so the serum fills it, then unscrew the lid and depress the serum into your hand. Unscrewing the lid and then filling the applicator is awkward and potentially risky of knocking the bottle over, which I found out a couple of times by doing exactly that! I'm sure this is obvious to most of you, but without clear instructions of how to apply, these things can take me a while to work out, lol.
The serum itself is light and glides on. A little goes a long way. I love that. You can definitely feel that a serum is helping deliver the benefits of your moisturiser as well, as it leaves your skin feeling dewy and hydrated. Top marks for that.
This serum is targeted at aging skin, with the aim being to brighten, smooth and renew. Used religiously for 4 weeks, I can't say that it has delivered visibly, but I've thoroughly enjoyed using it in my daily routine and enjoyed what feels like smoother skin, especially when applying moisturiser or BB cream.
Overall, I enjoyed this product, but I don't see any real benefits from using it over others I've used in the past.
Tips: Depress the application BEFORE unscrewing the lid to fill applicator. Works a treat!
With all the talk about importance using retinol I thought I would give it a go. I didn’t really rate it as felt like it hydrated but didn’t actively change anything over the month of use. I wouldn’t buy again. It did hydrate though and overnight my skin felt hydrated in the morning.
I was very excited to try this serum! Whilst a little on the spendy side, it did promise some great results. The serum itself is not all oily and absorbs quickly. I didn’t find it overly moisturising in itself, but as it is always followed by a separate moisturiser, this wasn’t really much of an issue. Very light fragrance, not at all offensive or overwhelming. The dropper packaging is absolutely horrible. Chunky and awkward to use, the top of the dropper is difficult to push to suck the serum up the dropper if you have any kind of nail. It was the worst part of this product. A standard dropper would’ve made such a difference. I was very surprised that the directions said to apply both morning and night as retinol products are generally a strictly night time application. This made me extra cautious with my sunscreen application each morning, an absolute must when using retinol products. Scratch that, a must ALL the time. Results, not many in the 2 weeks I have been using it. My skin does feel a little firmer and perhaps a slight reduction in the fine lines around my eyes. My skin does feel soft, but it wasn’t exactly rough to start with.
Overall I really enjoyed using this serum. It has a really nice, lightweight consistency and isn't oily at all in texture. I used this primarily as a night serum, using it a couple of times a week and slowly building up to ~4 times per week over a few weeks. I thought my skin was looking brighter and more firm after 3-4 weeks of using the serum, though I would want to test it out for a little longer to really put the product's other claims to the test! I particularly loved the packaging of this one - the push down dropper on the lid is really neat!
Tips: As this one contains retinol, make sure you only use it a couple of times a week to start, until you build up some tolerance. Also make sure to use a sunscreen every day!
I’m a big fan of Dr Lewinn’s Reversaderm range and this serum comes close as a really nice serum you can use morning and night.
It’s quite a thin textured liquid and milky in colour. I found the dropper gave out more than I needed so I only gave it a half squeeze. There was no adverse reaction or tingling which I was anticipating due to the high retinol content and I’ve happily used this for almost a month.
Have I found less wrinkles and reduced sun spots like the claim on the bottle? Maybe very slightly - but the biggest thing I’ve found is my skin is a lot more hydrated and definitely clearer, especially around my nose which I’m pleased about.
Because it’s a liquid texture this bottle will last a lot longer than my current serum but I’m not sure I’ll purchase again as it seems to be around the $50 mark. For now though I’m enjoying my skin’s condition as it’s really hydrated and I have an overall dewy complexion.
Where to start... this serum is just lovely and ticks so many boxes! I saw an improvement in my skin straight after first application. My skin appeared plumper, brighter and those fine lines disappeared! My pores also looked smaller! It doesn't last long though, after a while I notice the magic slowly disappearing. Fine lines returning but face still appears somewhat plump and bright. I seriously loooove how light it is, especially for a serum. You don't feel it on your skin as it soaks right in. It has a very light fragrance that I love as I am very sensitive to smells. You don't need to use a lot as it spreads easily. I'm not crazy about the idea of using a product containing Retinol during the day as we were taught not to. I didn't like the applicator, it definitely isn't easy to use, it can be improved. It is a bit pricey but on the other hand this one product gave me the same results that all my other serums combined do. I would like to pair this with a moisturizer and or other products from this brand to see if it would maximize the results.
I was lucky enough to trial this Dr LeWinns Serum, and it is the first product from this brand that I've tried.
Firstly, the packaging is nice and I love the bottle. The dropper bottle has a soft squeeze top lid which makes for easy application of the product. The serum itself is milky in colour, and I really liked that the serum isn't sticky, thick or oily like some other serums I've tried. It absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't leave any type of greasy residue. After using this at night, I would wake up with my skin feeling soft and hydrated.
No irritation - it was very gentle on my skin. Also, when I had blemishes, this didn't sting or aggravate them. I actually found that this helped to reduce the redness of any pimples.
It has been a while that I've been using this now and I think it has made my skin appear more radiant and hydrated overall. My skin texture seems to have improved, but I haven't yet noticed any reduction of fine lines. This may come with more time using it.
As this product was not yet on the market when I have trialed it, I am unsure of the price point so I can't comment on whether I think it is good value for money, however I would imagine that it would sit somewhere between the $50 - $65 range (which I would be happy to pay).
Great product and I intend to keep using it!
Tips: Only apply a little bit- it goes further than you probably expect.
Having not ever used serums regularly nor tried many at all, I was looking forward to see what this little beauty could do. No irritation of my Rosacea at all, which can be an issue with Retinol, so I’m extremely impressed with that. The hydrating effects are instant and lasting, with my skin feeling soft and looking radiant. My face appears smoother and firmer, with fine lines also seemingly softened. The serum has a lovely light scent, although it is a little on the runny side which I found rather off putting. The dropper/dispenser is a rather nifty way of preventing wastage of excess product, especially as you don’t need a huge amount, a little goes a long way. The one let down I feel is the price, it’s not affordable at all for me personally so it’s highly unlikely I will ever purchase this serum unfortunately.
Granted I was only able to trial this for just over 2 weeks due to a delay with the courier, but in those two weeks I haven't noticed any difference in my skin appearance or texture. I did like how you were able to just pump the product out by pressing on the supplied pump and then unscrewing it and applying it to your face/hand by pressing that pump again to release the product, however I did find that the recommended two drops wasn't enough to do my entire face. I found that I needed one full pump of product to completely cover all surfaces. No scent as well which I do like so if you're looking for a retinol that has no scent or you are sensitive to fragrance then this could be for you. It has quite a thin consistency as well, I'm used to more thicker products, so maybe that's why I found the recommended amount not enough. My main concern with my face is the one wrinkle I have near my right eyebrow but in the two weeks I used this product I noticed no difference in its reduction.
I think what I liked the most about this product was how soft it left my skin. I hate to say it but it was probably the only thing i liked about it.
I was really excited to try this product when I got chosen after reading all the claims with what it would do, however after these two weeks I can't say that I have been that impressed. I think I have used better retinols. Or it could be that I need more time to see a better result. I will probably continue to use it until it runs out to see if my opinion changes.
For context I am 45 years old and have combination skin. I also didn't use this after a toner as suggested. I just applied it after washing my face, am and pm
