Dr. LeWinn’s Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Overnight Sleep Mask

I am enjoying using the Surge Overnight Mask, and I have now been using it for approximately three weeks now.

I apply the masks two to three times a week as instructed on the packaging. The bottle has a pump that allows for easy distribution of the product and two pumps are all you need per use. The serums are easy to mix together in the hands and apply easily to the skin like a moisturiser. Once a thin even layer has been applied the mask sits nicely on the skin and I found it is only slightly tacky for approx 10 mins after application, then you don't notice it.

The mask feels very lightweight on the skin and has a slight fragrance to it, it is hard to pinpoint the exact scent but I liked it - sort of had a spa scent to it. Overall this is such a quick easy no-fuss skincare step for such a great outcome - this product has left my skin feeling soft, plump and looking more radiant.

I received this product to trial as part of the review crew. I liked the idea of the two part formulation that blends together in one pump.

When I started using it however, I actually struggled to get the clear part of the mixture to come out and took several pumps to even it out, which does concern me a little how it is going to work long term, will one side run out sooner?

The product itself has a rich, gel like consistency to it when mixed together, and I found I only required two pumps to dispense enough product to cover my face nice and evenly, so being used only 2 a week as directed, I could see this product lasting a while. It has a soft fragrance to it, which I love. Once on the face for a few minutes it becomes a little sticky but goes away within about 20 minutes.

I love the concept. However, I didn't see huge results after consistently using it for four weeks, two times a week so I will continue to use it as I do like the feel of it and believe it’s doing something perhaps its just taking longer on my 37 year old skin. I did break out the first two weeks of using it but i think that's just my skin reacting to a new product.

I definitely recommend this product and the price point is pretty good and affordable, and easy to access as sold in most pharmacies.

The silver cardboard packaging is lovely, it's sleek and luxe looking and feeling and there is no unnecessary plastic in the packaging. The canister that dispenses the product can feel a little rattly when pumping but looks lovely on my counter. This product is to be used 2-3 nights a week, I chose to use 3 times. Mixing the product before applying on the back of my hand felt like I was losing half the product, however doing this has proved it works! The skin on the back of my mixing hand is clearly visibly more smooth and plump than my other hand after 3 weeks of use. The instructions state to use as a last step in nightly routine, after serum and moisturizer I have been applying this sleep mask. It is sticky to the touch when applying and still sticky when it's dried- my husband was not a fan of my sticky face! But that sounds like his problem not mine! One of the claims this product has is the scent helps you sleep. I am a chronic bad sleeper and I hand on heart believe this claim is true, the best nights sleep I have are when wearing this face mask. It's a lovely scent too which helps. I have not noticed a reduction in wrinkles on my face but my skin is definitely more hydrated, the plumping effect does not last too long on me though, by about 3pm the day after its effects are waning. I am intrigued by this product, I've not used Dr. LeWinns before and when I'm through my current skin care I'm going to invest in this brand to see if the effects can be heightened by using the rest of thr R4 range, they are a bit pricy but I can see the potential after using the sleep mask. I wasn’t so sure about this product but I would purchase again. It smells yummy, is nice and creamy to apply. I have been using it every second night after my shower and finding that my skin feels hydrated come the morning.

I possibly wouldn’t go as far as saying it lifts and firms, but it definitely hydrates and brightens the skin.

I am a huge fan of Dr LeWinn's products and at any given point they usually feature in my regime (currently I'm using one of their cleansers and a moisturiser, both of which I've repurchased numerous times), so I was excited to try out their Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Overnight Sleep Mask.

First things first: packaging. I did enjoy the look of the product with its silver top and bottom and the two products that were separate within the bottle but were pumped out at the same time for you to then mix.

Once pumped the two products melded together easily and had a very subtle floral fragrance that didn't hang around once applied to my skin. I found the product to be quite tacky initially, however it did sink into the skin quickly.

On waking my skin felt plump and soft, and just looked better. I also found that my makeup would go on better than usual on the days when I'd used it the night before.

Is it love though? Not quite. Even though the scent's fine, it's not my favourite, and while I'll use the bottle up, I don't see myself rushing out to repurchase. A good, solid product thought, and one I'd recommend for anyone whose skin needs a boost.

Dr Lewinns products are not usually my first choice so I expected a mediocre enjoyment of this one. I was very grateful to find it in the vault and have the chance to try it though. Actually, it's very nice. The product comes in the usual branded red Dr Lewinns packaging, and inside is a silver and plastic pump bottle that looks nice and works well. The product itself is a thick gel, which was a little surprising for a mask I thought. It has a delicious light scent. I just pump it into my hand and rub it on my face. It absorbs ok but feels a little sticky and tacky initially. Once that wears off, it feels smooth and soft. I'm noticing my skin feels hydrated in the morning after applying it every night.

I would say my skin looks quite bright, but not as much tighter as I would like!

Overall in the greater context of night masks, it is definitely top end and I think it is very nice. So far it hasn't done everything it says it would do, but one bottle doesn't last 28 days so maybe with longer use the results would be more clear. I am pretty happy with how good it is so far after two weeks (the bottle is almost empty now). I would love to try it for longer but at $85 per 30ml bottle, that won't be happening unfortunately.

I must say that my skin felt and looked better the more I had used this! At first it did not appear to be enough hydration for me but with regular use it did increase hydration. The easy to use pump application is a great way to get the collagen and hydration get to blend and with two pumps enough for my full face and neck area.. Very subtle pleasant fragrance wihich is barely noticable and I would awaken to fresh plump skin in the morning. Lovely and light to use, not heavy or greasy. Does leave the face with a slight tacky feel to touch after application.

I was excited to get picked for the trial team for this product. I have been extremely lax with skincare lately and have quite dry skin so I thought this might work really well for me.

Just get this aside from the start - I hate the marketing terms that they are using to sell this product “Dawnergy” “Synchrolife” and “DreamScentz” - really! In this day and age the beauty consumer is a bit smarter than being sold on made up terms like that.

That aside,

The packaging is lovely. Although plastic it feels quite substantial which you would hope it would for the price. I don’t mind it being plastic though - good for travelling if we ever can do that again. I also like that you can see how much is left.

The product itself did what it said it would - I found it great for rehydrating my skin. I really did feel like it was plumper the morning after using this. It does say on the packaging that they have done a clinical trial which proved the results - but keep in mind that there was only 25 participants. But I do feel like it did the things that it said it would - smoothing, radiance, plumping.

The things I didn’t like about the product; the scent, I found it quite sickly and fake smelling. I am quite sensitive to scent though so this might not bother many other people. I also found the product quite sticky on the skin which is a bit of a pain when sleeping and feeling like you are sticking to your pillow case. But in the morning I did find it had sunk in nicely, so I feel like that is just something to put up with in a sleeping mask.

Overall I did really enjoy this product. The price is a bit out of my usual budget for this sort of thing, but if it is in your budget for nice skincare then I think you should totally check it out!

This sleep mask is a good product. However, I need to trial it for longer to get any idea as to whether it delivers on the claims around improved skin. What I can say is that since using this, I didn't have any adverse effects and my skin did seem good over the first week or so.

The dual pump is fun, but I didn't enjoy the consistency of the serum on my fingers or face.

I've been using this product for 3 weeks and it's a nice addition to your current regime..that's it...a 'nice to have' vs. 'a must have'.

It comes in a functional bottle where one pump is more than enough. The product is of a thick gel consistency that feels luxurious and has a gentle fresh scent.

I apply it directly after my shower and well before bed.  It applies well on the skin and while it feels luxurious it does have a tacky finish but dries down shortly after. Overall I don't notice the product on my face.

I used this every night (because I clearly have selective reading) but atleast I know it works well on my sensitive skin. If using it as instructed (2-3x per week) then the price point isnt too bad.

I found that it didn't help improve sleep quality but it did help further improve my skin tone as well as making my skin appear more plump.

Until I finish this product, it's currently 'a nice to have' as it hasn't met all of its claims for me.
