From the minute I opened the packet I was enthralled. I adored the push down waste free easy dispenser. Although it did take me a minute to figure it out. The smell was really pleasant and the moisturiser was really light and felt lovely on. But after a few days i seemed to break out so not the one for me. Would use it if i needed an emergency moisturiser but not daily.

Reviews
My skin type is combination. Oily T Zone but normal to dry cheeks. I would normally gravitate towards a lighter moisturiser during these watmer months. This product claims to be a "light-weight, non-greasy day cream that offers instant and non‐stop hydration with SPF15 protection." Does as it claims there but then it also claims that this boosts cell renewal and addresses the signs of aging. In the short time I have trialled this product I haven't noticed any of my finer lines fading or any dramatic change in my overall appearance. I am at an age now where I have been told I need to start using anti aging products because prevention is the best cure but I feel like this product didn't give me any added benefits to my daily routines. Packaging is a bonus though. Love the pump and also the sleekness of the bottle. No product wastage as you only take out what you need. Have been using this product for 2 weeks straight now and itnis still well over half full. Scent is a slight issue initially but that fades as the day goes on. Wouldn't repurchase as I feel some of the cheaper products on the market today give my skin more benefits :)
I was lucky enough to be given this for trial by the BR team, so thank you to them :).
This basic moisturiser comes in a very nice white, pink and silver easy to use pump bottle. It contains SP15 so that's a great addition to anyone's skin care regime. It is also quite perfumed so if you don't like perfumed skin care products you might not enjoy using this moisturiser. I found it very light weight which I appreciate as I have combo (normal/oily) skin type. It absorbed quickly and definitely felt moisturising so it does what it says on the packaging, however (I think due to the scent) my skin didn't like it all that much as it made my skin itchy and stinging feeling, so I had to stop using it after 3 days as that feeling wasn't going away and I was concerned it could blow up into a full reaction.
I would recommend it however if you don't have sensitive skin, don't mind perfumed face products and you are after a basic moisturiser that also contains SPF in it.
Tips: Allow moisturiser to absorb fully before applying makeup. Also it pays to do a patch test of new skin care products before applying all over your face in case of sensitivity.
So I was really excited to use this moisturiser because I've been looking for a day moisturiser for ages now. I have slightly dry skin so anything that keeps my face moisturised during the day is good for me. I liked that there was no intense scent of the actual product. It has a thin consistency but not watery at all and I used about 1 and half pumps every morning. After the first few days I realised that it did keep my face moisturised throughout the day which is awesome but it did not have a greasy feeling at all. However, after a week of using it, i noticed that I was getting slightly raised bumps on my forehead which is very unusual for me. They were not pimples, they were deeper in my skin and made it look like I had texture on my forehead. I decided to stop using it for a few days to see if it would disappear and it did! Even though this happened to me, it may work very differently on someone else. I have found that with my skin, the less I use on it, the better my skin is. So unfortunately I will be sticking to my old moisturiser for now until something better comes along.
Tips: With any skincare, its important to look at a lot of reviews from people with different skin types so you can judge how it might work for you.
To be honest I have mixed feelings about this moisturizer. I was stoked when it arrived as it has such beautiful packaging and I had high expectations for it.
My skin type is normal with a slightly oily nose particularly when the weather is hot. So I thought this moisturizer would be perfect for me.
I have tried it on its own and also underneath my make up. Make up applies nicely over it but I did find myself going shiny much quicker than my other moisturizer which was disappointing. When worn alone I also find myself shiny after a few hours. This was disappointing as it feels so light when going on and adsorbs in super quickly.
I do wonder if it would leave me less shiny in winter when my skin is dryer then it is currently. I am going to keep try using it to see if things get better or not.
Tips: The trick to getting the product out is to twist the silver section on the bottle. This will lower the pink plastic and allow the pump to be unlocked.
I received this product to trial from Beauty Review and have been using it for about three weeks. Before I review the product itself, can we just take a moment to admire the genius of the pump? Whoever invented this deserves a medal. Rather than a flip up lid or separate pull off cap, all you need to do to enable the pump is turn the silver band to the left and the coral pink band above drops to make the pump operable. To lock, turn the silver band anti-clockwise and the coral band locks upwards and the pump won't work. Fantastic for travelling and for preventing spillage, leakage or the product drying up. Anywho, the actual product is a light off white cream and two small pumps give enough for full face coverage, meaning the 50ml will probably last a long time. It applies white like a sunscreen and needs to be massaged in a bit for proper absorption. Rather than than being primarily a moisturiser, I consider this to be a facial sunscreen with some moisturising properties. The cream has the look and feel of sunscreen and that's how I've used it. On the box it says "for optimal results, apply when the skin is still damp" and I found that is absolutely the best way to go. Applying to dry skin needs more product to get proper coverage and it can then feel a bit oily. Applied straight after showering you use less and it absorbs better and gives more and longer mosturisation. Although a good product, it's by no means the best I've tried; other moisturisers perform better at a lower price (e.g. Andalou, Nivea, Neutrogena). The cream has a very classy understated floral scent which does set it above some of the cheaper products though, and the scent fades quickly, which I like.
Tips: Apply straight out of the shower when your face is still moist for best results.
If you're after a good all-round day moisturiser, this covers all the bases. It is light but hydrating, has a pleasant scent, has good SPF coverage and comes in a handy pump of which you only need a little bit, it goes a long way. I found it easy to apply and non-greasy but I'd leave it a few minutes before applying makeup.
The only downside for me is the price, it's quite expensive as I'd estimate it would last about 2 months used daily.
Loved this moisturiser. I have combination oily skin and it was perfectly moisturising without over drying or leaving behind an oily residue. A perfect lightweight moisturiser. Has a lovely light fresh scent and the pump is super cute!
Packaging for this product was lovely, it felt sturdy and well made so more like a high end product. The bottle is really luxurious as well, white, pink and a flash of silver. The cream feels silky smooth and smells delicious. I have really sensitive skin so I was half expecting to start getting irritation after a few uses but it didn't affect me at all so that was a bonus. I also have really dry skin so one pump didn't quite cut it for coverage so I'm probably needing to use twice as much as some people. I does feel lovely going on and sinks it well but again doesn't last all day on my thirsty skin. I will continue to use this bottle but probably wouldn't buy it again as its really not quite rich enough for me. Having said all of that, if you have normal skin it really is a lovely product to use with SPF 15, great for every day use.
Let me just first of all express my gratitude and thankfulness of being given the opportunity to try a high end skin care cream BR! Thank you! Dr LeWinns has only ever been a blip on my must try but can't afford radar. So to be able to try a cream like this was beyond amaze.
Let's start with the appearance. The box it comes in is very modern and simple, I quite like it although it's not very eye catching and doesn't scream buy me! The bottle itself weirds me out a bit. It has an airless pump dispenser but I dislike it intensely. Ok the only positive thing is it distributes a nice small amount so there is no product waste. The dispenser tends to trap product in the lip between the pump and bottle. So although it seems to save waste it traps more than it saves! The bottle itself is a reflection of the box it comes in. It is white, clean, simple and modern.
The smell is very, very faint but fresh. It's quite pleasant because I can't stand strong smelling skincare personally. The texture is very smooth and silky. It is what it says, light which is nice to rub in to my skin. It promises instant and non-stop hydration! I didn't get that out of it. My skin felt the same as if I had used some random drug store brand lotion. It was nothing fantastical in my opinion. I did like that it has SPF protection. although a bit more would have been better.
After three weeks of using it my skin has broken out with blemishes and actually makes my foundation a bit harder to blend in without turning powdery. If I am honest it is more suited for a young teen who has just started out using skincare because it's nice and light for a young persons skin. All in all I wasn't overly impressed with this Dr LeWinns product so I think I will stick to my drugstore ones, because the price isn't justified at all!
Tips: Use in conjunction with a facial wash and toner and follow up with extra sunscreen to ensure the SPF50 that's needed.
