Was really dissapointed in this product. It wasn't very pigmented and didn't really apply smoothly. Wouldn't buy again.

For the price (cheap) it's probably what is to be expected. The eyeshadows when applied dry basically don't show up whatsoever, but applied wet they actually came up quite pretty with a nice metallic shimmer to them. Only downfall i had with applying them wet, even with a primer underneath was that they creased and by the end of the day, looked abit messy. Probably wouldn't buy again but they are an ok option for those wanting a cheap budget friendly palette and the colours are quite nice.
Tips: I definately recommend applying these eyeshadows wet.
This i not what I thought. I got the bronze one and the shades looks amazing but they are so sheer and the fall out is so bad.
Some of the shades look the same after being applied to the lid. And even after trying to build it up and layer it its still very sheer.
This is definitely not a palette if you want alot of colour and a pow effect!
Now to end on a good note, the sheer shades are very nice for natural no makeup looks. And it adds a slight shimmer which gives dimension to your eyes.
I was really disappointed with this unfortunately. The colours aren't very pigmented and you don't get very good colour pay off. I don't even use this anymore because I just don't see the point. Really doesn't work for me
I purchased this product after carefully looking at the other ranges and at the time I was really into baked eye shadows because I heard they were higher pigmented. The pallet came in its own box and mirrored compact the mirror is a decent size good for travel. I looked at these pallets on line before they arrived and discovered that the bottom is made in such a way that you can slide and click the other pallets such as Texas and NYC under and into each other to expand your collection and for easy to use application and shade selection choice. I have to say looking at the photos the pallets looked really nice. But when I tried to use I found they were not as pigmented as the other baked eye shadows I had bought from a different brand. All have shimmer in them and the pretty purple colour you need to wet the brush and apply heaps to get the colour to show up on your eye like in the pallet. When trying to apply dry it almost didnt show up at all. When swatched on your finger they looked okay I did not bother with much of the other colours after that because I decided to re sell. These are not as pigmented and you get fall out but it is not bad for the price and if you like subtle shimmer you may like this pallet thumbs up for the packaging and healthy oils in the product.
I must admit, I was a bit disappointed with this palette. At first glance, the colors are gorgeous and could be worn in any occasion; a great, all-around palette. They do have shine to them ,so be warned if you're not a fan of shimmer!
However, application wasn't as smooth as I had expected. For one, the colors are not as pigmented as I'd hoped, especially the lighter colors, so it took a lot of product to get the right color on my lids. When the color was on, it seemed to crease quite quickly even when wearing primer.
It's an ok palette, especially for the price, and a good basic for those new to makeup or on a budget. But probably not something I would buy again unfortunately.
Edit: picture of the swatch Natural light, no filters, no primer but arm was slightly wet.
Edit2: tried applying it wet as recommended but it was still pretty subtle. Not too much of a difference with my palette and having to use water seemed clumsy and a bit of a hassle. However, it did make the shadow more sparkly, which is A LOT of sparkle.
I know that ELF has always been a bit hit & miss, but in my recent USA ELF haul I'd made a promise to try this. The compact is made of sturdy black plastic and contains a fairly large mirror inside the lid. I have to give this product high marks for its packaging quality, which seems comparable to pricier brands such as MAC.
The palette contains neutral, light to medium colours with a metallic sheen. I have tried quite a few of these and love them, but only when applied with a wet brush. They must be used with a wet/damp brush if you want any sort of rich color pay off, otherwise, you will be disappointed.Definitely worth a try!
Tips: Apply with a wet brush and you will get more colour pigment
I was gifted this palette and was so super excited about it! However, after the first few applications I was let down because it was quite chalky and not as pigmented as I would have expected a baked palette to be.
But! I did a bit of research online and quickly learnt that because it is baked you can apply it using a wet brush and the colour becomes so much more pigmented! I tried it out and it really worked.
There is a really good range of colours which can work for either a day or night look. They are all shimmery so I prefer to use them mostly for night personally.
Overall, once I learnt how to get the most out of it, this has quickly become one of my favourite palettes and I think for the price it is definitely a good one to pick up!
Tips: Pick them up for $10 on iherb! if you buy both palettes they can snap together as well for easy selection of colours.
I have had this palette in the shade 'california' for around 6 months now after purchasing off iherb.com. I have almost hit pan on two of the shades and often recieved compliments on the colours. I find the product to be very powdery but this can be made better by using a wet brush. Despite this if you're a fan of shimmer eyeshadows like myself they are beautiful shades and nice colours and I would recommend.
Overall, I was rather disappointed in this product. I purchased the 'California' and 'Seattle' pallettes because the colors were ones that I would wear on a regular basis. The colors, while accurate to the picture, were very difficult to use. My brushes didn't pick up the product at all, and nor would the colors blend. When using a finger, the color appeared much more pigmented- but, obviously, you can't apply make up with fingers on other people!
Tips: Use fingers to get better color
