I got this powder to try out the powder before foundation trick I have been hearing about. For this purpose I feel it worked very very well. It created a flawless base for my foundation and the glitter partials made my skin very glowy. I have used this as a setting powder over my foundation also and it seemed to so a good job but I would not however recommend this as a setting powder if you are going to be photographed as it gives a very very bad flashback and makes your face white and blotchy. The packaging is a bit bulky so keep that in mind for storage and I would recommend using a fluffy powder brush to get the best coverage rather than the puff that it comes with.

Tips: Just be careful when opening the powder as with being loose it can get all over the place.
There is so much powder in this container and it comes with its own puff! It is so easy to apply and makes your skin look smooth and flawless. The only down side I had was I have a bit of a hairier face and the powder made it stand out quite a bit more rather than masking it. Other than that it is an easy light powder to use.
I love this HD powder, it sets my makeup for all day wear and gives my skin a lush glow... I was skeptical when I first bought this and can say I was surprisingly IMPRESSED with how well it works considering the small price tag. Another must have from the ELF collection.
I really like this HD powder, I use to set my foundation I only need a small amount to do my whole face sets it lovely.I am not a fan of the packaging I find it one of the most annoying things to store. It is quite messy I tip a small amount into the lid and use my brush to apply because trying to get it out with a brush any other way is just messy.I love that because its white/translucent it doesn't cake into little lines and creases like some other powders do. Super cheap so its pretty good.
This is a very similar product to the ELF under eye setting powder that i love and continue to repurchase except this is used for all over the face to set foundation and keep your make up in place all day long. It does exactly what it claims to do which is perfect and it is definitely cheap for the quality of the product. the only qualm i have with it is how impossible it is to stop spilling the product everywhere every time i open it up. It doesnt have a very good filter and i feel as though i am constantly wasting product due to fall out.
Tips: Use with a large fluffy brush and sweep across your face
I purchased this because I saw an image that a friend had posted on Facebook, having used this on her bare skin. She did a close up of a before and after and her skin looked amazing!! All her redness, scaring, wrinkles etc had all gone, by just putting this and this alone on her face. I was convinced and purchased some through Iherb for $6
It’s a big compact, with a ton of product in there. But its huge! And way too big and bulky for my liking. It seems so out of place with all my other makeup and doesn’t fit in any of my makeup drawers. It sits on top of everything like a fish out of water. It comes with a patting sponge which is fine to use with the product if you don’t have a brush for it. I also like that it clicks shut, so you know!
It is a complete mess to work with however. By the time it gets to my face, and even as I’m patting it on my face, it has snowed all the way down to my toes, so be warned and be careful.
I used it on my skin alone, and I can’t say that I noticed the miracle that it I witnessed on my friend’s skin. Yup it made my skin smoother, and more even, but only by masking a whitish coat on my skin.
I then tried it over just primer. The Elf mineral infused one. And as soon as I put it on, it started to flake and come off like little the little pieces of rubber that come off when you use an eraser on paper. Yea don’t do that. Not recommended.
Then I used it over foundation. And this is the best use. Obviously. It didn’t make it cakey at all. However I find that you do need to blend it well for it to not look like a white film across the face - possibly best to not use the sponge it comes with when using this. It lasts all day, has no shine, and definitely makes my foundation look better than it does on it’s own.
Also note that it is almost grainy in consistency, but it doesn't really affect the product. It also makes your skin really soft which is always good!
Like most e.l.f products the packaging is basic, its on the bulky side but its on the inside what counts right?
I am a huge e.l.f fan, i have loved all the products i have tried so far, just need to get around to writing the reviews on all of them now! I love the affordability and the quality is great, this HD powder is no different.
I use it as a setting powder applied with a fluffy powder brush and it gives me a flawless finish every single time! The look lasts all day, no shine emerges even late in the day.
I'll start with the bad - throw away the sifter thingy in the top and the puff it comes with, they're rubbish. Also rubbish is the actual container it comes in, it's big, hard to open and close and just cheap looking.
Once inside however I find the product to be pretty good at setting my makeup and I have an oily T zone. Probably wouldn't recommend it for really oily skin over summer as it may not be heavy duty enough to last the day.
I like to apply this with the RT duo fibre brushes as they give a really light application, which is good as this powder will make you look paler esp if you don't blend it in well enough.
The best thing about this powder is the "blurring" effect. My skin looks quite a bit softer and younger after use, it actually helps tone down the fine imperfections.
So, thumbs up e.l.f, it's a good product that I can see my self repurchasing.
Tips: Use a duo fibre brush for light application.
If you've gone crazy on the blusher or your foundation is too dark for you, this will help make it less noticeable.
I like this stuff. I first purchased roughly July last year, and it arrived from iHerb a few weeks later (I chose the cheapest shipping option). I was excited to break into it and have a play.
The packaging is very sturdy, a big bulky plastic case with a twist top lid. There is a little powder puff sitting in the container, as well as the powder under a holy grate. Be super careful when if you tip it out into the lid - mine came off and it went EVERYWHERE. In a different bathroom it probably would've looked like I was doing smack.
The powder itself is white and sits nicely on my face. It doesn't feel heavy and when I use it I go matte instantly, which I love. I don't like looking dewey.
It can be used underneath or on top of foundation, I've tried both methods and I really like it. It doesn't make me feel or look overly caked in makeup, but it even though it's translucent I still feel like Casper when I brush it on. I'd get it again, because I know it works and the price is just too good to pass up!
I love opting for cheaper products as im a poor aaa student so being able to buy products like this off iherb is amazing!! It makes for an amazing setting powder and evens everything out. When having photos taken with flash it does give a WHITE face so be careful
