This little one lives with my lipsticks in their acrylic holders. The packaging, while looking sleek as heck, does feel pretty flimsy, but for the amount paid I hardly feel like I can complain. I've gone through two of these in the last year, as I can get really gross, really scaly lips. I love using this just after I've gotten out of the shower before I start doing my face, so that my lips have time to get moisturised. I absolutely adore the taste, which is basically just of brown sugar with a slight hint of vanilla, and find it easier than my lush lip scrubs as it is a lip balm and an exfoliator at the same time. As a downer though, this can be incredibly unhygienic, if you're the type of person to care. Bits of dead skin will not only come off on your lips but will also stay on the surface of the lip scrub itself, as it is shaped like a lipstick bullet. If this doesnt faze you though, go ahead and pick it up, its incredible. A definite life saver for anyone like me who adores their matte lipsticks.

This is a great treat for keeping your lips in condition the sugary makeup of the lipstick means that when I run this over my lips pieces of it cling on that I buff away with a finger to remove all the dead loose flaky bits of lips smeg so you have smooth lips perfectly primed to apply lipstick/stain too.
It helps too to keep my lips hydrated, since using this exfoliator I have seen a huge decrease in cracked lips this winter as well as little chaffing or actually any cold sore? Wonder if it’s related?? Anyway it does something magic to my lips that makes the feel plumped up too.
The only downfall is the packaging, in a smooth black casing which is the exact same design, shape and colour as their lipstick range if you keep the exfoliator in the same place then you like me will be losing it, hence the reason I know own 3 of these little devils!! But its fine as they are not expensive at all.
This is cheaper than chips. I got from Iherb.
Nice lipstick holder/canister. It's a matte feel which is good. Easier to open than a slippery smooth one.
Open the lid and it's brown. It's a strong smell of sweetness! Onto the lips and I got a fright that it was rough. Not sure what I expected. Just didn't expect rough.
It reminds me of the lush sugar scrub, this is soooooo much better though. As it's a stick the sugar doesn't fall out and down your front.
I tend to get dry lips, and the edges get drier. I can use this, push hard and it removes all the dry flakey stuff. Mmmmm a wee lick of the lips :p then add your colour on. No need to wash off or wait.
It leaves your lips silky smooth. I just love it!
Tips: Use this before wearing a matte lippy to get a flawless look
I was very excited to try this product as I always suffer from dry, cracked lips that look awful under lipstick.
First impressions were great. It came in a lovely black lipstick case and when you opened it, it had a beautiful shape and looked like it was carved from solid brown sugar. Sniffing it, it smelt of caramel and sugar and all sorts of delicious things you'd love to eat.
But this is where the love ended for me. I started rubbing it across my lips and after the initial few seconds of thinking 'this tastes amazing', I then realised that all I could taste was blood and all I could feel was stinging. I'd manage to successfully rip my lips to shreds with the exfoliant and do quite a bit of damage.
Two weeks later, having healed and been ready to give it another try, I reassessed my technique and very, very gently started rubbing it across my lips. But no, the stinging and bleeding began again. I've tried it a few times since then but unfortunately I've had to come to accept that the formula is just too rough for my delicate lips. I really want to love this product, but sadly it's not for me.
Tips: Be gentle!! Start off just lightly rubbing it across your lips and seeing if the formula is right for you.
This lip scrub is an easy to use, no fuss product. Unlike other lip scrubs I have tried, this comes in the form of a lipstick which makes using it relatively mess free.
The packaging is sleek, functional and pleasing to the eye. I haven't had any issues with the lip scrub getting stuck or with the product being stiff to wind up. To apply it, I just put it on like regular lipstick and then use my finger to rub the product all over my lips. You can lick the product off if you like, but I'm not a massive sugar fan so I just use a baby wipe to remove it and then apply a lip moisturiser.
This definitely helps make your lips smooth and removes any dry skin that may appear during winter. It is literally an exfoliator for your lips, and it leaves them feeling pillow smooth. Also using this doesn't hurt at all - I actually quite like the feeling.
This is my favourite lip scrub - I love that it is in a lipstick form as I tend to get the scrub all over myself when using one in a pot. I definitely recommend giving this a go - especially if your lips get dry during winter.
Tips: Be sure to apply a lip moisturiser or balm after using this for maximum hydration for your lips. I like using this before I go to bed so the lip balm I apply after has ample opportunity to be soaked into my lips.
This is by far my favourite lip exfoliator I have used to date! It is inexpensive, convenient, compact and best of all it works just the way I want it too! It is shaped like a lipstick so the application is super easy and not messy.
I have pretty dry chapped lips and they're constantly flakey (YUUUCK, TMI!) but I've found this product to be a lifesaver for me. I use it every 3ish days (or before a special occasion) in the shower before I wash my face, scrub it gently all over my lips and then wash it off. After I get out I make sure I apply a very hydrating lip balm.
I find it leaves my lips super smooth and not flakey at all. My only qualm with this product is that it is very harsh and I think if you scrubbed too hard you may cause some damage! I have read some reviews of it being dry and the product cracking off, but I have not found this to be the case.
I will definitely be repurchasing this product when I run out!
Tips: Go easy with the scrubbing! This is one of the 'harsher' lip exfoliators I have used so be gentle with it to avoid damage
Exfoliating the lips before applying lipstick makes it go on really smoothly and avoids it cracking and looking yuck - essential for matte's and bold colours!
First of all, I love the packaging. Compact and shaped like a lipstick which makes for easy application. Opening it up, it smelled like caramel. I chose to apply to my lips lightly as I wasn't to sure what to expect. At the time I had very dry, flaky lips so was pleasantly surprised when it removed all unwanted skin and once I wiped away everything my lips felt so smooth and conditioned. I now use this product once a month to keep my lips looking soft and smooth.
Great little product, nice packaging. I used this on my dry flakey lips and it removed all the flakes of dry skin well. My lips didn't feel rough or over used after which was a bonus! Nice taste and smell. Can't go wrong for $5 really. I highly recommend it!
Who knew a product like this even existed? I sure didn't up until 2 months ago. I have to say ever since using this bad boy I have had soft lips! Who knew your lips could be so soft?! I am in absolute awe of this product (hence the 5/5 lips). I used to suffer a lot from dry and cracked lips and could barely wear lippys but ever since my friend pushed this product onto me I have been able to use many lip products. This E.L.F product I found on iherb, I don't remember the price, however the sweet scent is fantastic and on those 'at home spa days' this is the only product to touch my lips that day. It smells so good!
The packaging is fantastic, it's the same size as your average lipsticks so it's easy to travel with.
It's easy to use.
My first use of this product wasn't a fantastic success the texture was grainy, as there are sugar crystals on the product. However once you get used to the product is doesn't hurt one bit. (Or at least it doesn't in my case).
Tips: It's easy to use, apply like your usual lipsticks. Apply at night every 2-3 days for those of you that have terrible lip conditions, and after 3 weeks you will find you no longer need to spend money every couple of months on those lip balms. CAREFUL WHEN FIRST APPLYING. At first it was a little rough on my lips, as the texture is grainy.
I usually don't buy lip exfoliants, because I can whip one up at home, know exactly whats in it, and works like a charm, but this has changed my mind.
First of all, I love the packaging. Compact and shaped like a lipstick, it's something I've never seen before. I love that you can wind it up and down, and put the cap on to seal it. Much better than having a little pot and digging my fingers in and having half the product go under my nail.
It's a nice matte finish on the tube, which is beneficial. I like to scrub very hard against my lips, and the matte finish allows a good grip.
The texture is nice and coarse, like sand paper, it is very rough, but it has a really pleasant feel, having the rough texture glide across your lips. It's also perfect, because it gets right into your lips and gets rid of every little unwanted thing!
Coarse pieces of sugar come off on your lip, which you can further massage in and around with your fingertips. it's also super moisturising, which is surprising to me, given that it is so coarse, but it left my lips feeling super soft and very kissable - no lip balm required.
It also has a really nice scent. Sugar and spice and everything nice. Vanilla, cinnamon and brown sugar. Reminds me of a cinnamon roll! YUM!!
It's safe to say, that I won't be making my own lip scrubs any more ever. For $3 a piece, I'll be buying a hundred of these!
