e.l.f Studio Lip Exfoliator Review

This beauty is something that I couldn't live without especially going thru this winter, my lips are left dry and chapped and there's nothing worse than putting on a dark lipstick and seeing dry flaky lips! I found that using a face scrub was too gentle and using an exfoliating glove was too harsh and when I saw this I had to try it. It's the same size as a normal lipstick which is perfect for travelling with, rubbing this over your lips leaves a grainy sweet substance that is quite soothing and smells really good! My problem areas are in the corners of my lips, it gently removes all the dry skin and makes them feel so smooth and soft.

For the price , the quality is outstanding, if your a lipstick girl this is a must have! Or for girls in general, you won't be disappointed.

I actually purchased this product after reading the great reviews on here. My lips get dry especially in winter, and when it is a windy day, and we all know how unappealing it is to use lip balm, gloss or stick on top of dry lips, as well as how it doesn’t look quite as good as we hoped! I had never used a lip exfoliator, and honestly did not think I needed one. Wow, was I wrong.

The E.L.F lip exfoliator comes in a container similar to regular lipstick, simply take off the lip, and twist the bottom for the exfoliator to be applied, which is done exactly the same way as you would apply lipstick. The product is a caramel colour, and has brown specks in it. A texture and taste that I would compare to brown sugar! Additionally, it actually smells sweet like sugar and I quite liked this aspect.

I softly applied this to my lips, and I found it to be really gentle, and effective at removing the dry skin, and it honestly made my lips so soft, and perfect for applying a lip product onto afterwards! I tend to use this twice a week, or more depending on the weather conditions! Definitely worth a try!

I have been waiting for what seems like FOREVER!! for this to be in stock at iHerb. After months of waiting (perhaps I didn't check back fast enough) I finally trawled through their website and threw this in my cart. I had heard many wonderful things about it through BR darlings and I knew it would be perfect for me, as I get very dry lips and I can't help but bite the skin! (I'm so bad, I know)

It had fallen out of it's box partially, which is fine, because it was the first thing I grabbed out of the iHerb package as I was most excited for it. I love the tube. It's matte black, with a glossy black belt, and the name and product written on the side in white. Very sleek, and it blends in well with my collection of makeup.

When I first saw the product, I was disappointed as it was smooth, as I thought it would be grainy from the get go. I applied it onto my lips straight away, and after the first few swipes the sugar grains appeared and started doing their job on my lips. I was in heaven!! Not to mention the taste it leaves on your lips, it's like... Brown sugar? Its divine.

Application is a lot like a lipstick, without the product feathering out or going on your teeth. Just a few swipes on your lips leaves some granules behind, and you can rub your lips together to keep exfoliating. The granules do disappear - mostly into your mouth - but I'm sure it's not poisonous.

This product is amazing, and I'm so glad I bought it. I'll definitely be repurchasing this bad boy.

I love this lip scrub! It smells so good and has a wonderful creamy texture that also works to gently exfoliate your lips leaving them super smooth and soft. You really can't beat the price of E.L.F products and I think this is one of their best steals. I highly recommend you give this a go.

I was impressed after using the one elf product I had, a matte lip colour and was so eager to get more items. I researched on BR which would be the best items to ger, and decided that this lip exfoliator was a must have!

My lips can be dry and rather flakey, which sometimes puts me off using lipstick as it can look rather cakey and accentuate my dry lips. Now this exfoliator comes to the rescue!

When my iherb haul arrived I couldn't wait to use this. The packaging is simple, yet effective. It's packaged in a case exactly like a lipstick, and the lip exfoliator is a brown, grainy colour.

Applying it to your lips is simple, just glide it over your lips like a normal lipstick. The formula is grainy and tastes similar to sugar...Yum!. It feels lovely on my lips and it easily takes off the loose, dead skin and leaves your lips feeling beautiful and smooth.

This product does what it says it will, is super gentle for my sensitive lips and sloughs off the dead skin, exfoliating them super well.

What I love about this is my lipstick looks so much better on now, my lips look smooth and supple. No flakiness or accentuating of my dry lips. It does a fabulous job of making my lips look lovely and moisturised.

I would definitely recommend this. These days I don't know what I'd do without this product!

Every time I've gone to purchase this it's sold out - so how good must it be? So good no wonder it sells out!

I was surprised by how nice the packaging was, considering the price. It comes in a cardboard display box and the exfoliator itself is in a chic black lipstick tube.

I've been using this after brushing my teeth before bed. The aroma is delicious! And I've managed to even have a wee taste, and it tastes as good as it smells - must be the sugar combined with the shea butter. It feels weird using a lipstick product to exfoliate your lips, but I must say it's darn convenient! I swipe back and forth, round and around, and I'm left with lovely smooth, utterly kissable lips!

YUM! Tastes so good you just want to re-apply it. Its not too coarse and has a great amount of smoothness to it. Your lips feel amazing after using this exfoliator. It has no chemical smell or taste which makes it even better.

The only reason I purchased this item to try was because it is in lipstick form so it doesn't involve dipping your finger into the product so there is less mess and it's hygienic. I had no idea that it would become a permanent part of my makeup preparation.

I wear lipstick everyday and I always had the problem of dry flaky lips. This product leaves your lips feeling moisturised and smooth for hours!! Without this product I can probably get 1-2 days of a flawless pout then it's game over. With this product I have a flawless pout everyday!!!!

I'm not a fan of the burnt sugar scent or the sweet taste but all that goes away once I wipe off the residue and apply my lipstick. I have been using this for a year and one tube lasts me 3 months (I use it everyday). I have several back ups because the price is too good to pass up. I order my lot directly from ELF website (using Shipito) because they have amazing sales.

Making your own scrub means you can ensure that it's natural and super cheap, right? Right! So I made and used my own lip scrub for a good month or so before I even tried this one.

One morning I had run out of my DIY conconction so finally picked the elf one up and gave it a go. Beauties...ain't nobody got time for DIY scrubs when this little gem is out there!

There's no mess! No more sugar dribbling down your chin as you apply your DIY scrub and no more cleaning of your DIY container. Just pop the lid off, rub over your lips the same as you would a lippy and admire the resulting luscious pout! It has a surprisingly sweet flavour and feels really hydrating. I can't rave about it enough!

DIY be gone. Convenience is my jam.

I brought this from Kmart as being a regular user of lipsticks and glosses my lips were always on the dry side even with daily lip balm use. At first I was not a big fan of this as I felt like it was too rough for my sensitive lips but now I am nearly out I am starting to panic. This stuff is amazing, it really does remove any dry patches and help keep my lips smooth. I use this nightly before bed and top with some Hurraw! Night balm and in the morning my lips are still super moisturised. I do find the sugar taste sickly sweet so try to keep the amount of product used to just enough so I can feel the granules on my lips. If you want your lipsticks to look flawless (especially the matt liquid lipsticks) then you need this!! I will definitely be repurchasing.
