I love this powder and use this one and another favourite I have on a daily basis, when I put my concealer on I place this elf setting powder on my brush and swipe under each eye,it sets the concealer and stops any sitting in fine lines,it comes in a small jar and although it does not look like there's much product there it really goes a long way,I have had mine nearly 3 months and have yet to run out,

Tips: Place under eyes to set concealer
So inexpensive and does the job well! Able to control the amount of powder you apply, and doesn't get too cakey. Sets concealer well. Would repurchase this if I'm looking for a drugstore under eye setting powder!
This for sure helps to stop the concealer sinking into lines etc. only fault is the glitter thats in it!
Tips: Use a large brush to apply to minimise the glitter if it isn't your cup of tea :)
I've been through about 4 of these. I love it. It sets my under eye concealer beautifully and just makes the area brighter without overdoing it. I'm not sure about the glitter, but I just don't notice any glitter. It's an excellent powder to set and blur out some stuff that needs to be blurred. Will always repurchase. Small jar is great for travel. Just be careful opening. I've put my yellow powder in one of my empty containers of this and now I can take both this one and the yellow on trips and not take up a lot of room.
I'm still on my first jar that I bought years ago and it's not a favourite of mine but I have found a different use for it. I initially bought this to to set my undereye area since there was quite a lot of hype around this affordable powder.
When I ordered it online from BeautyBliss I knew that it was small but I was still surprised at just how small it was when it arrived. The outer plastic packaging is a similar size to a Colourpop eyeshadow however the powder is actually stored in another container within the outer packaging and it is SMALL. It's a good thing you don't need much so the little jar can last you well over a year (depending on usage).
I love how this powder feels when swatched - it really is a silky powder which leaves the skin feeling like it has been primed. It has light reflecting specks of sparkle; it's very subtle on some people but I'm from the chocolate club and it's not hard to spot - it doesn't bother me though. For a small jar; it can still get relatively messy because there is no stopper to allow you to just pour out a little bit at a time. I've had many episodes of wastage yet I still have plenty left in the jar.
I use any of the following concealers under my eyes - MAC Pro Longwear concealer, Giorgio Armani Master Corrector or Hourglass Concealer; they're not too thick and blend almost seamlessly into the skin. So with that being said I expected the powder to sit nicely on top of the concealers but instead it looked like I had caked on the powder and my fine lines were on show for the world to see.
I apply the powder using a small tapered brush that fits nicely under the eye area. I pick up a bit of product, tap off excess and lightly pressed it into the skin. When I wasn't happy with the results I tried the exact same thing except I swiped it across the skin. My last attempt was to push the powder into the skin but I still had little success in creating a flawless finish when setting my under eye.
After 2 months of playing with it I gave up and decided it to use it to blot my lips to set my lipstick especially if I was after a matte finish. I apply a layer of lipstick, blot with 1 layer of tissue, apply dusting of powder on the layer of tissue and repeat the process until I'm happy with the result. I've had my jar for awhile and I still have a whole lot left but once finished I won't be repurchasing.
This is such an excellent product, for its price. This is very good at preventing under eye creasing, I find this very long lasting and effective. It is brightening, although it does have glitter in it but I don't really find this an issue as I don't notice it at all when applied. I use quite a dense eyeshadow brush (the large blending brush from the eco tools essential eyes set) and find that this is brightening without being glittery when I apply. This has excellent longevity. However it is very white under the eyes and can look unnatural, especially in flash photography.
I had high hopes for this product when I bought it, but sadly it doesn't work for me at all! I love elf products so I was a bit disapointed. It doesn't look bad, it just doesn't look like anything at all. Not brightening for me, a lot of glitter and the packaging makes it hard to use. I am getting a tapered powder brush in the mail shortly so I will be interested if this makes a difference!
I like the finish that this product gives when applied on top of a cream/liquid concealer - provides a pretty and bright appearance to the skin and the skin appears smooth and airbrushed. However, this product does have little specks of glitter in it. Some brushes allow you to flick the glitter away as you apply, but for me i was always left with specks of glitter under my eyes, which i do not prefer.
This comes in a very tiny jar with a little brush. It does leave your under eye area nice and bright and sets your concealer nicely although I do find that some days you can see more 'sparkle' than others and I worry about how that will look in photos. I don't use the brush that comes with it but a slightly bigger one and be sure to tap if excess powder. It is a great affordable alternative but I will be trying something else soon.
I bought this off iHerb as elf products are so much cheaper over there. I didn't expect it to be so tiny but I like how it came with a small brush. I hated the small pot though and it was hard to use. The pot actually broke so I had to transfer the powder into another container which was a pain.
The product itself is great. The shimmer isn't too much but it definitely brightens the under eye area and sets my concealer well.
