First Impressions on this product was that it did look nice in it's little container but was a bit of a hassle to get out and onto my brush. I use a small blending brush to apply and honestly don't see much of a difference except that it makes my under eyes quite glittery especially in the sun and light. Sometimes it does cover my lines under my eyes but other times it doesn't, which is weird. It can also leave my eye area looking a bit cakey. I got this for $3 off iHerb so there isn't much to complain about but I probably won't be repurchasing this product unfortunately.

Tips: To get the product out I tip the container upside down and then back to normal and then swirl my brush in the product in the lid and then tap off the excess.
This product is great at defining and highlighting my under eye area, and was great to stop creasing but it was to shimmery, I think glitter ages you so this product was a slight let down because of the shimmer effect. BUT as a highlighter and setter it was great and $3 you cant go wrong. Packaging is cute and stylish but a bit hard to get the product out.
So I have panda eyes syndrome, and for everyday when I’m going to uni, I don’t wear a face of makeup, only mascara which tends to illuminate my panda eyes.
In comes this product. My first initial reaction to it was that it is very small. Now for $3 is pretty good, but I was expecting it to be much bigger.
I like that the little pottle clicks shut, important so that it doesn’t spill. But it is a bit difficult to open and use. It has that little plastic pull tab which is perfect to help seal the product in so that it won’t spill, but because it’s so tiny, you have to be careful to not tip it over when you try to pull it open.
I find the brush to be a bit useless, but I dip it in and surround my eye area with it, leaving it on for about 20 seconds and dab it in. It works wonders for someone who isn’t wearing any concealer. It gets rid of dark circles without shine. It also blends in really easily which is a bonus. But I do notice that it is a bit shimmery, almost glittery. Not very noticeable, but if you are in the sun, it definitely shows.
My mother who notices nothing, looked at me and said that my panda eyes have gotten better! Yay!
BUT! While it does take away the dark circles, I can’t help but think (and notice) that it enhances the the baggy lines and creases around my under eye area when I smile, which is something I’m sure no one wants. It is the same when using it over concealer, however not as noticeable.
To avoid it, I have to be careful to place it only about a certain line around the eye.
Overall I am happy with it, but I will be searching the market for better products.
First of all, YAY cheap product that everyone can afford! hooray ELF!
However, the brush is a waste of time, mine actually fell out of the packaging before i even got the product home. Once out of the packaging i unscrewed the lid on the tiny pottle and then proceeded to take off the plastic top that was on the glass pottle, little did i know that you actually peel off the plastic strip on the plastic top that has holes in it (derrr) you could only just see the strip and required tweezers to remove it, no wonder i missed it. Tipping the pottle upside down with the lid on a few times gives you a tiny amount of product to play with, i used this with a small stipple brush and dabbed a small amount under my eyes.
I havent notice any dramatic differences yet but overuse the product and hello glitter face! However no creases!! hooray, i will try it with different concealers etc and see what results i get.
HOW IS THIS PRODUCT SO CHEAP!!! it works incredibly and without looking at packaging or brand i would definitely think that it was a high end product because of the high quality and long lasting effects! It definitely does exactly what it says it will do and i cant recommend it enough! if you have been looking for an undereye setting powder for setting your concealer look no further!
Tips: Recommend buying this product off Iherb, best shipping and cheap price.
Also recommend not using the small brush the product comes with, i persoanlly prefer to put this on with a small to medium sized fluffy brush
This e.l.f product was something I got in a large e.l.f. haul quite a while ago but I hadn't really discovered it till I watched some beauty guru's on YouTube talking about it recently. I suppose I didn't wear concealer under my eyes previously so I didn't have a lot of use for it. Until now.
It's hard to find a HG (Holy Grail) concealer that doesn't crease under the eyes as well as being the right shade, consistency, brightening etc etc. However, with this miracle wee tub of powder - that is no longer an issue! This product literally makes almost any concealer stop creasing under the eyes! It's amazing for setting concealer!
First of all, the packaging is classic e.l.f - black, simple and small. However surprisingly it does last quite a long time although it's small! I do have a problem with the lid though as it lets a lot of powder go when unscrewed. I don't know how but what I do know is that when I'm wearing black it's not a good time! Other than that the packaging is pretty standard - nothing special.
The product itself definitely does meet standards regarding the things it claims to do. It certainly does reduce fine lines and wrinkles especially worn over top of a concealer (I like to use MAC Pro Long Wear). I like it think it also makes my concealer last longer - but that is hard to tell. It also brightens up the area a bit. The formula is very fine and is apparently translucent although I still think it gives a bit of the glow. My ONLY potential gripe with the product is that it is rather shimmery - which would be great if I didn't already have about 5 high end highlighters that I want to wear AS WELL. Which means that my under eye/above cheek area can become a little disco ball-y. However - for about $5 on iHerb or $10 from Kmart you can't really expect the world can you!
Overall for the price, and the fact that it could also help you to spend less on concealer as well - I think this product is a pretty great buy! I'd recommend it to anyone who uses concealer under the eyes, or needs their eyes a little brightened!
Tips: I apply mine with a small tapered brush - e.l.f actually also sells quite a nice one. Doesn't need to be anything special. I just pat it on over my concealer to set it in place I try not to use too much so I can wear other highlighter also.
This powder is the only powder I use to set my under eye makeup!!
Although it is VERY messy, it is an amazing product for its crazy affordable price. I love the way this powder blends into my skin, and I use a small eyeshadow brush to get the product out of the container. I dab it under my eyes and then use my real techniques blush brush (the softest fluffiest brush ever!) to blend. I have found that if I apply too much concealer and it looks cakey, the setting powder smooths this over and makes it look all smooth and perfect :) Such a bargain, everyone should give this a go. I have had mine for almost 7 months now, have spilt a bit and still have lots of product left! Perfect small container to take away with you as well :)
Tips: Use a small eyeshadow brush to get product out and tap lightly on the side of the container to get rid of excess powder. Use a small amount so that you under eye area doesn't look shimmery!
I picked this up after seeing all the youtube gurus talking about it and for $3 on i herb I thought i'd be silly to not give it a go.
I immediately ditched the brush as it was incredibly small and I don't see how anyone could find it useful. I decided to instead apply it with my real techniques contour brush - i would recommend any soft fluffy brush but not too big! The packaging is a bit fiddly so be careful as you open it as there is a lot of fallout. I dip the brush in then tap off the excess and then apply softly under my eyes after applying concealer.
A lot of people say this powder is extra glittery and I agree, in the pot it does look glittery. However, I find that the chunky glitter is easily tapped off and almost none of this applies to the skin. It definitely helps to brighten my skin and reflects the light nicely. It doesn't feel powdery of cakey on the skin but gives a soft smooth finish.
The only reason I have given this product a 4 is because it is so messy! I would absolutely love this in a pressed powder form it would be perfection. Also, I think the packaging is fairly small, although it is only $3 it would just be nice to not have to repurchase so quickly.
Tips: Make sure to use the excess around the rim when you open the pottle.
I often find it hard to find good concealers and when i do they usually crease under my eye area. This was the first setting powder I tried and I feel like it really makes a difference in setting that concealer and minimising fine lines. When I first tried it I didn't like it because I felt like it didn't do much but when I tried applying it differently it made a big difference. In saying that, this is a good product but sometimes I still find my concealer settling into the creases under my eyes (but this could be more of a concealer problem rather than a powder string problem). I find myself using this setting powder whenever I use concealer , and I am still happy with that. As for the creasing issue, I'll probably need to drink more water and sleep more to get of those creases.
Tips: Apply using a fluffy brush and buff it in - it won't be as glittery.
This is one of those products that, when I heard all the hype, I just knew was going to end up as one of my HG products. So, in one of my last iherb orders, I picked up one of these, expecting to be wowed at the first use. But... nope.
First off, the packaging is really annoying. It's very chunky considering that the amount of product is actually very small, and the cap is SO hard to twist on and off easily. It looks cute, but that's about all that's going for it, in my opinion.
The actual product is a very fine, slightly champagne tinged sheer powder.... with visible-to-the-eye chunks of glitter running through it. It sparkles in the light. Yep.
The best way to pick up the product is to tap a little bit into the lid, then swirl the brush lightly and tap off the excess
I first tried applying this just with my powder brush, as I didn't have anything smaller. I didn't like how it applied with this brush, as I found it looked a bit cakey, chunky, and actually dulled down my undereye area more than when I just set it lightly with my normal face powder.
However, I was determined to like this, so I bought the RT Setting Brush, as I'd heard that it worked really well with this. I love the brush, but I still don't like this powder. It did apply better, and looked slightly more natural, but to be honest I just prefer how my normal powder looks compared to this one.
I find that this makes my undereye concealer look dull, which attracts attention to the darkness in general, and the glitter particles, although not as obvious as when in the packaging, show up, especially in sunlight. The resulting effect of a dry, sparkly undereye area is not one that I enjoy.
It does prevent creasing, I will give it that, but then so does my Rimmel Stay Matte. It is cheap, yes, but it’s also fiddly and, in my opinion, not that effective, so I’d rather stick with my one face powder . It’s worth giving a shot given the price, but I wouldn’t recommend it, and I definitely won’t be repurchasing.
Tips: Apply with a small fluffy brush, such as the RT Setting Brush, for the best effect.
