I bought this soap because I kept having allergies tot eh chemicals they put in liquid soaps and I found this to be extremely drying, to the point where I could see the skin on my arms flaking.

Tips: Use with aloofa and make sure you slather your skin with moisturizer after you dry yourself off so you dont dry out too much
I love how it smells, and cleanses the skin. I do find my skin tight after using it and need to apply moisturisers. I will use it for hand wash though.
The packaging is very appealing for me, it looks very old fashion and friendly looking which is what made me want to try this. I brought this for $2.50 at my local Paknsave, Just by holding the box you can smell the scent making its way thru the box seams. Washing with this soap feels like such a luxury, it gives a milky hydrating feel to your skin and the smell stays on your body for hours. I dont like how overpowering the scent is, I wish it was a little less scented but other than that I love how it makes my skin feel so fresh and clean, not to mention soft! Ive been looking for the goats milk soap after trying this one.
Nice soft soap, light smell and ideal packaging for package reduction. Smell was very natural. Wouldn’t stay on your hands however
I used this when I use to live in an eco rental house. Me and my mum could only use eco-friendly products and so this being available at our local supermarket we thought we would try this out. This soap is great. Its eco friendly, cleans your body, doesnt leave your skin dry. And it smells lovely. They also sell other scents so this is a plus. This is also a cheap price for the product. Cant complain.
Eco store are a brand I really enjoy and like. This soap was given to me and isn't something I would ever purchase for myself - just because I have a borderline pathological hatred of soap bars (I prefer liquid soap and body wash).
In saying that though, I thought I would give this a go as I do like the brand. I want to preface the review by saying I gave the 'would you use it again' as a 1 star ONLY because I strongly dislike soap bars.
As with all Eco Store products - the packaging is awesome. I love the simple design that they incorporate on all of their products, and I really love that this came encased in an environmentally friendly cardboard box.
The scent is really strong - truthfully I would have preferred it a little less scented, but the scent is pleasant and fresh and lasts a long time on your skin after using it.
The soap bar itself is like any other soap bar - it lathers nicely and makes you feel clean. Unlike other soap bars however, this doesn't have that vile 'soap' smell and nor does it dry out your skin or leave a nasty residue.
Even though I wouldn't repurchase this because I dislike soap bars - I would purchase this for friends that do like soap. I would also recommend this if you like bars of soap as this is an inexpensive soap that makes your skin feel nice, smells excellent and leaves you feeling fresh after using it.
I like this soap for a few reasons : The scent is nice and clean but not over powering. I like the fact it is kind to the planet , try to use eco products when I can and this product is a good one. It lathered well on the skin without drying out the skin. We use it all the time. Great price too.
This is a great cheap product. Because I don't have a lush or body shop near me and love to have those lovely smelling soaps I decided to give this brand a go. I must admit I wasn't expecting to much from it but I actually really like it. It has a lovely lemongrass smell to it and not too overpowering which I like. I like that it doesn't remove my natural oils from my skin and keeps my skin feeling moisturise. I think I am using a protex soap at the moment and admittedly the Eco store soap definitely blows that away. I love that fact that this brand is all about natural stuff in their products. I will definitely be buying this soap again and will try out the different scents :)
I sometimes swap out Eco Store soaps for the body wash I usually use. I find this one to be gentle for a soap, though I don't really feel it 'nourishes' my skin, but then I wouldn't really expect a soap to do that. The scent is strong so I'd avoid this one if you are sensitive to fragrances. If you like a more natural soap with a strong scent and are a fan of lemongrass this would be a great soap for you.
My mom really liked this and so it's the bar of hand soap in the main bathroom in our home. It's affordable, smells coconutty and is free from animal tallow, propylene glycol, triclocarban, cocamidopropyl betaine, synthetic dyes and SLS. Those are the main good points.
Now it's not my fave because it still takes a fair amount of moisture from my hands and is irritating when I eczema. I have another glycerine based soap that I prefer much better because it dries out my hands less and works out to be even cheaper and that's what currently sits in the main bathroom I use. That being said most bar soaps are drying for my hands. For a reasonably affordable more natural based soap it's not too bad.
