Eco Tan Natural Coconut Deodorant Review

I purchased this upon reading great reviews all over the internet on their tanning products and reading their testimonial.

I have to express my disappointment firstly with the sprayer. I found that after I had used it a couple of times it started to leak, and I would end up with dry product stuck in the lid. I also found that the product just didn't work for me. It could be because I am one of those unlucky people who sweat quite a lot, but i found that this product left me with wet armpits and feeling embarrassed at the patches on my tops. It may work for those of you that are more fortunate and sweat a normal amount though! The smell is however delicious. It has an incredibly strong coconut scent which I adored. It smells so fresh which must be a good indication of it's vegan-ness.

All-in-all, this product was definitely a fail for me :( and I will unfortunately have to continue with my chemical-packed deodorants until I find another alternative to try.

I purchased this after seeing such great reviews. I tried it for a week while on holiday in Australia and I felt it just wasn't that good at keeping me dry.

I love the smell, I still use it in conjunction with another deodorant but just not by itself. I don't feel it gives enough protection for a vey sweaty person like myself.

If you're not a heavy sweater like myself you may find this will work for you!

So the hype around this product made me want to try it out I purchased mine from IE produce

The bottle nozzle would jam so I soaked it in water to release it (but I have been told this issue has now been fixed)

The smell is great it's so light and coconutty It goes on well but sometimes it drips

I think this worked for me for about 2 days and then I noticed I could smell BO which sucked Even if I used 3 times a day (who wants to do that???) I would still sweat through

Eco tan! The massively hyped up brand all over Instagram! Wow I could not wait until I got my hot hands on any of their products, this spray deodorant being one of the top priorities for myself as I am scouting the market for a natural deodorant that doesn't contain all the nasties. The packaging.. Absolute bliss, beautiful BPA free plastic (thanks goodness not glass) spray bottle which sprays evenly and a fair amount. Lovely printing and logo, very appealing to the eye and sitting on your bathroom counter. Comes in a good 125mls size which I would think would last up to 6 months for everyday use.

The product, smells absolutely devine! Like you are having a tropical island getaway and sipping coconut piña colodas on the beach, it does not smell 'fake' or 'sickly' it's simply gorgeous. It did not irritate my skin, but I always make sure I don't apply the product after freshly shaved arm pits as that can sting. The only thing as this does not keep me from smelling!! I can put it on in the morning and after lunch I can start to smell my body odour as much as I want to love it as it smells heavenly and it has no nasties in it, it doesn't not work longer than 4-5 hours and I do not have the patience with reapplying throughout the day.

I think this will stay in the cupboard as a 'refresher' deodorant, when I just want a fresh little spritzer before an event or going to the beach, or for a day at home.

I purchased this last October when I decided I wanted a deodorant that didn't contain aluminium, and have been using it ever since. I wouldn't say I love it, but there are things that I like about it. I like the smell, anything with a coconut scent does it for me. I like that a little goes a long way, you only need 1 or 2 sprays per arm, so it lasts a while. I like that it's a natural deodorant, no chemicals, especially aluminium. What you have to keep in mind when using this though is that it is marketed as a deodorant, and not an anti-perspirant. I read enough reviews to know that this would not stop me from sweating, just eliminate body odour. This made me somewhat uncomfortable, as I usually am quite a sweaty person and didn't want sweat stains on my tops. But for some reason since I have been using this I have stopped sweating as much as I used to and this is no longer a problem. I don't know why this has happened? It could just be that my body has adapted to using this or perhaps eliminating the use of certain chemicals in other deodorants? Some afternoons I will freshen up with a quick spray if I think I need it, but I never get that BO smell using this, just a nice coconut smell. The spray nozzle has clogged up at times, and I've had to soak it in hot water to clear it out, but I believe this issue has been solved with their new packaging. So for me, this deodorant works, and I will continue to keep using it despite it not having any anti-perspirant properties. If it means i'm no longer using a deodorant with aluminium in it, the pay off is worth it.

There was a lot of hype for these products via social media, and I can say that I was quite excited to get my hands on this!

Simple, aesthetically pleasing packaging, a fairly affordable price (mine was $16.99 at Life Pharmacy) and it lasts a long time! I'm not a heavy sweater, but when I do a lot of products I find get sticky in my armpits and feel awful 'til I wash them off, this fortunately doesnt! I found that I do still sweat... yet it smells like the beautiful coconut instead of B.O. A win from me!

I love how short the ingredient list is on the bottle, all the less nasties than any other product I've seen on the market, its no miracle worker but if you'd rather not be sticky, and like to smell like coconut then give it a whirl!

I love the spray bottle and how it is presented as it feels like something you would probably see at a flash Day Spa. I was lucky enough to win my deodorant recently and so I am using this over the Autumn months at the moment rather than a hot season. This product is made in Australia and is certified organic with no hidden nasties and has a pleasant distinct coconut smell when you spray it. The writing on the spray bottle is very clear and easy to read.

The first couple of times I used the deodorant I sprayed to much under my armpits and it dripped down my body so I learnt I only needed to do a couple of sprays under each armpit. It has given me no irritation to my skin. I have not found myself getting smelly or needing to spray extra throughout the day but I have noticed the coconut smell disappears and it is like there is no smell which is not a bad thing it is just something new. I have found it keeps me dry throughout the whole day. One problem I have noticed is that when I go for my brisk hour to an hour and a half walk it gets very sticky under my armpits. This is something you could learn to accept knowing you are using a healthier product on your skin compared to a deodorant with aluminium added but I would be interested to see if when I was hot over the summer months if I would feel that stickiness all the time and I don't think I would enjoy that. Interestingly there seems to be no perspiration or wetness just the stickiness...

Overall this deodorant is okay and as the bottle says it does keep my skin dry and odour free and my only issue with it is the stickiness when exercising so I would like to see how it works on my body over the hot months of the year.
