I found this cleanser to be gentle as advertised but I did not find it would remove all my foundation. I usually use a scrub cleanser which is probably where the big difference is. The smell is refreshing and I like the bottle with the pump for an easy application. I won’t be buying this product unfortunately although I’m sure for someone who doesn’t wear a lot of make up it would do a good job.

Tips: Use in the shower which a loofah for bear removal of make up.
I got hold of a 20ml sample of this to try when I was doing my usual excessive purchase of Ecostore products. It's a brand I trust and I use them a lot around the house, so I was excited to see they have brought out a skincare range.
The cleanser smells vaguely botanical, a quite pleasant scent, and contains exciting-sounding ingredients like marine extracts and blackcurrant oil.
However, while I had no issues with this cleanser, it also didn't bowl me over with its amazingness, either. It was a reasonable cleanser, for a reasonable price. The one serious advantage to this is it is from an NZ company who has made a name for themselves using only totally trustworthy ingredients. That means this is a brand I would be comfortable recommending to people who were concerned about potentially unsafe ingredients in skincare.
Good gentle basic cleanser. Would reccomend to someone starting out on skincare. Removes makeup well. Unfortunately I started reacting to it after a week of use. I love Ecostores ethics and use a lot of their products so wish I could have kept going with it!
I actually quite liked this product. I definitely believe it did what it said it did effectively. I have quite sensitive skin so if it was harsh I would have reacted!
The product isn't big on foam, but it did remove any make up residue from my make up remover didn't.
I didn't notice any fragrance which I like. I'm not a fan of perfumed skin care. I want it to work on my skin not smell nice.
The colour isn't overally appealing. In fact it's quite yuck. But I'm glad it was a natural colour rather than adding unnecessary chemicals.
Overall I would happily buy this product again.
I got the little skincare pack with 4 products in it. First off, the time it lasts for sucks. Only 6 months isn't enough to even use the small skincare squeeze bottles I can't even imagine finishing off the big bottle bought separately.
The product itself doesn't get crazy foamy which I like and has a very sweet but not strong scent. I like how natural it is and how little you have to use too. It does leave my skin feeling tight which I don't exactly mind because the next step for me is moisturiser which takes that feeling away.
I've gotten compliments that my skin has looked less red while using this product!
Tips: Wet your face before application and don't use too much.
I first saw this at the supermarket and in need of a new face wash I got it because it showed to be on special. 20 minutes later at checkout it definitely was NOT on special, but I had already paid so annoyed, I went home with my new $20 face wash.
I like the packaging. The bottle and lid are both almost matte. It still gives off a big of reflection of light. It’s a very simple design, with few words but it tells you everything you need to know and how to use. I think if the ingredients were on the bottle it would be an eye sore and not in their theme at all, but who keeps the box to look at that stuff at a later date. I enjoy that the coloring of the lid matches the color of the font as well.
The lid comes off and underneath is a simple white pump, that pumps out a small amount of product each time. The color of the product is a yellowy brown, but its creamy so it reminds me a little of a really light caramel. It smells very herbal, and very clean. Almost a bit too clean, like a cleaning product. It’s not bad but it’s not very exciting either.
The product doesn’t foam, but I do think it does a good job of cleaning my face. However I don’t like the after feeling. While it’s not so harsh to make my brain melt, my skin still feels a bit dry and tight after using, a feeling which I hate to the very core of my being, and I can’t stand it. It makes me want to rip my skin off my face. So, it’s a nice face wash but it’s definitely not nice enough for me to continue using, or buy again from the range.
Firstly, I really love the way that it smells - so natural and clean! However though it is packed with a lot of natural ingredients. it is still not a totally natural product. It has a light brown colour to it, which may put some people off but I didn't mind it. It felt very soft and creamy on my skin and left my skin feeling soft and clean. The packaging is very sleek but as it is a cleanser, it seemed like a small bottle for something that you would use every day.
Tips: Make sure that you wash as much off as possible and it will leave a few marks on a white towel!
