I received this in a BBBE and wouldn't have bought this on my own just because it says for combination to oily skin. My skin has been quite dry lately. Even though this isn't made for my skin type, I have liked trying this and will keep using it.
I don't find it very nourishing or hydrating for my skin, but when it comes to cleansers I don't really look for that. I don't mind as long as they don't dry out my skin, and this didn't! This is a nice, lightweight cleanser that leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. I've been using it after removing my makeup at the end of the day and have been liking it for that. It hasn't irritated my skin or caused any extra dryness or dry patches. It's a thin consistency and applies easily and washes off quickly.
I really like the pump bottle, and have been finding myself using this over other cleansers, because the pump makes it so easy and efficient to use. I will continue to use it and think it is a really nice, gentle cleanser!
I got this in the BBBE natural and cruelty free brands for over 35's. Upon first seeing the bottle, it doesn't exactly shout 'I'm a cleaner' from the rooftops, It looks more like a body lotion type bottle. I have heard of ecostore before so was hopeful that I would fall in love with this. I love that it has a pump action applicator. It saves from using far too much product. The bottle is actually quite big which is a definite value for money selling point. The product itself is a gold/bronze colour which instantly makes me think of glitz and glamour and expensive type things. My expectations have crept up a tad because of the colour alone. The liquid is quite silky feeling and doesn't melt or spread like cleansers often do once I put it in my hand.
I use this in the shower to make it easier to wash off rather than create more washing by using a flannel. It goes on my skin smoothly but doesn't really lather up like I would expect a cleanser to do. It does take up most of my eye make up which is a bonus but leaves panda eyes from my waterproof mascara which I think says more good about the mascara than anything about the cleanser. Usually after I have used a cleanser my skin feels fresher and clean but this fails to offer that feeling unfortunately. I usually have to go in after with another cleanser to remove more make up and dirt/oil left behind on my skin.
I do have to say that although it doesn't necessarily cleanse my skin effectively, my skin always feels softer after use. This in turn sets it up to feel even softer once toned and moisturised. In summary I think the idea behind it is great but the execution failed for me. I prefer other cleansers over this one but I love the fact that it is cruelty free so that's winning.
