ecostore Volumising Shampoo Bar

I really love this shampoo bar. I got it from the Beauty Vault to try and was not disappointed. It lathers up amazingly and you dont need to use a lot. It's smells lovely, and washes out really easy. My hair does feel a bit like straw after washing it out, but once I use conditioner it's great. It does give my hair a bit more volume too.

I confess, I haven’t believed the hype of shampoo bars so I’m glad BBBE presented the opportunity to be proven wrong.

This shampoo bar is really lovely. Using it - it suds easily giving the familiar ‘shampoo’ suds experience without the drying feel. Rinsing my hair it felt like I’d already conditioned and that was just rinsing out the shampoo. I followed with a regular conditioner. I really loved how my hair felt after use. It was so so soft and ‘bouncy’. Very similar to a salon shampoo/conditioner experience. I could go my usual 3-4 days without washing. With continued use my hair feels fantastic. Only thing that I couldn’t get a handle on was how to store the bar to stop it staying soggy and mushy! Because it was a little soggy I felt it didn’t last as long as regular shampoo in a container.

I really liked this shampoo bar. It’s the opposite of most reviews of other brands and definitely changed my opinion of a shampoo bar - and I’m surprisingly impressed.

This is a great product that I will continue to use and repurchase. It has a strong plant scent and once it's wet and I massage it through my hair it becomes foamy and it is easy to rinse off. I love using bar / soaps as we are creating less plastic and also it feels gentle for the scalp as it has a mild pH and they use plant / mineral based ingredients too. It is soap free and vegan! The volumising shampoo bar is perfect for me because I have flat hair and the next day my hair isn't oily either. Love it!

This is my first time using a shampoo bar so not sure what I was expecting. The bar lathered up quickly and has a nice scent. I didn’t have a conditioning bar so will probably get one to compliment the shampoo. But even without conditioner my hair is manageable and not too fluffy which is awesome. I’m really happy that my scalp is not itchy which often happens with salon shampoos after a couple of days. So overall I’m really happy with the results and it feels good to know I am doing the right thing for my body as well as the planet

This is the second shampoo bar that I have tried and the first one from a different brand which I didn't like did put me off till I received this one in the Mother's Day BBBE. I have not tried Ethique so I cannot compare with that but my experience with this has me sold.

It is lightly scented and suds enough to clean my hair leaving it feeling fresh, shiny and bouncy. It doesn't irritate my scalp and doesn't leave any residue.

I store this on its side in the shower caddy away from the shower spray and I don't have any problem with it going soggy. This is definitely value for money as I have only gone through half the bar in two months. I wash my hair every second day and my hair is shoulder length.

I love that the cardboard box is recyclable and takes up less room, another win for the environment. I will definitely purchase this again and have bought the conditioner which is nice too.

This is my first time ever using a shampoo bar - thanks to the Mother's Day BBBE for giving me the prompt to give it a go. For some reason shampoo bars have put me off in the past - in my mind it would be the same as using a block of good old soap in my hair which would be awful.

I love this is in a cardboard package, and not wrapped in plastic. After wetting my hair I gently ran this over the roots and through the ends and very quickly got a decent lather. The scent is really nice and subtle. After rinsing my hair it felt really clean, but not stripped - almost like how it feels after a clarifying shampoo.

After conditioning and drying, my hair honestly felt so amazing. It had this incredible bounce and volume to it, and felt oh so soft. I am totally sold on this so will definitely be keeping this as one of my fave products.

Now to find a conditioner bar to complete the set :)

I was really excited to see this in the last beauty vault as I have been wanting to try a shampoo bar.

Because the soap does come in packaging before you use it, I am unsure if it's really more environmentally friendly, but I guess the cardboard breakdown easier than a plastic bottle.

To use, you can apply the bar directly to your head or lather in your hands then apply to your hair. I prefer the second method.

The consistency of the bar felt very much like soap and I preferred the feel of traditional shampoo.

But they both left my hair feeling equally clean, so if shampoo bars were better for the environment and cost comparable, I'd definitely switch.

I've been using bar shampoos for years, and picked up a bar of this ecostore Volumising one after reading all the BR reviews. Unfortunately, none of the previous reviews stated what type of hair the reviewers had.

I have very fine hair that is prone to greasiness (I have oily roots, oily strands, even oily tips). Sadly, this shampoo does not work well for us oily haired gals. Yes, it did give my superfine hair a little volume, but not much. It lathered up nicely, has a nice scent, and it cleaned my scalp and hair well at the time, but by the next morning it looked like my hair hadn't been washed - only 12 hours after washing it. :( Not ideal.

I won't be purchasing more. If you have oily hair, don't waste your money on this, rather get a bar of Ethique's St Clemens shampoo.

I really didn't like the shampoo bar. It did nothing good for my hair. Looked unwashed after use,no noticed changes in volume.. I won't be buying this product again sadly
