I love Elie Saab parfum and was excited to try their second fragrance. It sounded right up my ally with orange blossom (a firm fav) and jasmine I was so excited. But I have to say I was disappointed. The green almond note that makes this scent summery and greener than the original also makes it smell a lot like Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers - so much so that It put me right off, as I went through far too many bottles as a tween and teen and it now smells sickly and watery to my nose. So, while I still love the sleek classy bottle and the familiar citrus and floral notes of this new Elie Saab offering, I can't get past the old association. The good news? If you loved Sunflowers, this could be the modern updated scent for you!

Elie Saab Le Parfum L'Eau Couture Review
Elie Saab Le Parfum L'Eau Couture an unprededented contrast between the sophistication of a Couture look and the springtime freshness of a fragrant Eau. A fragrance inspired by the fresh, urban sprit of the cruise collection, an evocation of natural, luminous femininity.
Equally springlike, the precious bottle is bedecked in radiant almond-green reflections, the ultimate 'couture' hue, neither fully green nor fully blue..

Almond vanilla cake - that is what you smell like when you have it on. If you are a big fan of nuts (literally), you're gonna enjoy this one!
The nuttiness of the almond kicks in first, then the orange blossom brings in the earthly greenness, the vanilla finally creeps in adding milkiness into the pile.
Good sillage. Fresh, wearable. It fares better during the hot, spring/summer days.
I was surprised on this one. I first brought this after sampling in a magazine. It's not my usual type of fragrance as it's quite floral; a prefer fresh and green...but wanted to step out of my comfort zone. Every time I wear this I get so many compliments...think my friends are all going to stock up! It's a lastly warm, floral smell. Nothing unpleasant to say at all about it. It can be a little over powering if you're not used to floral fragrance like myself but would stick with it.
Although I love the gold/pink Elie Saab scent I found this one really overpowering. Even just one spritz gave me a headache. I think it could be a lovely scent that many may like but it was just a little much for me.
I would recommend this to fans of the original Le Parfum but who are looking for a lighter, fresher more summery version. The original whilst lovely is quite sweet and becomes slightly cloying in hot weather and to me this variant has more green-ness, crisper fruity notes and less of the warm honey and orange blossom notes of the original Le Parfum. Something in this reminds me of Chanel Chance but I can't quite place which note it is. Overall a nice fresh take on the original scent but I would not repurchase after finishing my sample as I already have the Le Parfum and Parfum intense and I can't see myself wearing this but it is a lovely summer scent nonetheless.
