I love this stuff, have and always will have a tube on hand. I slather it on everything- from my lips to any cuts or skin issues.
Tips: Just don't wear it in the sun, because the petroleum magnifies the sun (which means burn)
This product has been around for years, I remember my Grandmother using it and I am 44, I love it, I think it may have been reformulated I am not sure, but its still as good as ever. Highly recommend as a go to cream when you need an extra boost of moisture and soothing. Well worth the investment and you don't need to use much, last a long time. don't let your teens or kids get their hands on it and it will last.
My grandmother used it, my mum uses it and now I can't live without it. I use it on my lips at night and any leftover I moisturise into my cuticles. The smell isn't too pleasant but you get used to it. I wouldn't use it during the day as it doesn't contain any SPF.
Tips: Put some on your lips if you have a cold and can't breath through your nose at night, it stops your mouth from drying out.
Possibly one of the best moisturisers I have ever tried. I use it on my face, hands and lips and the softness lasts for a long time afterwards. My only gripe is the smell - it isn't the best by any means, but for what it does, I'm willing to forgive the minor flaw. It is very expensive to buy but a little does go a long way with this.
Tips: Use as little as you can to avoid the "greasy" feeling you can get with it, especially around the face.
I have used Eight Hour Cream for a number of years now and will continue to for many more. I have tried a number of other balms but this one is by far my favourite. It is the best for hydrating chapped lips and I also use it on my cuticles, elbows, heels and other dry patches. The scent does not bother me but I do find it is greasy so prefer to use it at night before bed. One tube lasts a very long time and for the price I definitely think it is worth a go.
I was a bit hesitant about using this because I feel like sometimes people over-hype products, but this cream was amazing!! I recently travelled to Fiji and because of the change of weather my lips became really dry and skin began to peel - I used this over 8 days and I came back home looking like I just had a facial. Would highly recommend it for anyone who has sensitive skin like I do.
Tips: You can use this on anything!! I use it on my cuticles, lips, face.
I really liked this cream. I first started using it as a lip gloss and noticed in the first 2 days a massive improvement in my lips. The were a lot more moisturised and softer. I also liked how it stayed on my lips for a long time. Normally other lipglosses come off my lips quickly. I also started using it at night as a moisturiser for my face. I noticed that when I would wake up, my skin would be soft and nicely moisturised. It is a bit greasy at first and thought it would feel yuck but I found it absorbed rather quickly. My face definitely thanked me in the morning. It's a really great moisterizer if you have really dry patches, like elbows, knees, heels etc. I will definitely be making this product a must have of mine :)
Tips: My tip would be if using as a nighttime face moisturiser to only use it after you've exfoliated. I don't really like feeling greasy so I am only going to use it now after I've exfoliated.
This cream is magic in a tube. It is an extremely versatile product and I used it for dry chapped lips, dry heels, face moisturiser and a hand cream. It did wonders for my dry, sensitive skin leaving it feeling very soft and moisturized for the whole day.
Consistency: This is an extremely this balmy textured cream.
Application: It is easily applied. Just apply a small amount to the area requires and gently rub in.
Fragrance: This cream does have a strong fragrance which did bother me at first but I soon adjusted and got used to it. If strong fragrances bother you this product is also available in a fragrance free variety.
Coverage/Usage: Only a small amount of this cream is required for deep and thorough moisturisation. One 50 ml tube of this cream will last ages as you don't need to apply it as often as other moisturisers because it actually works.
Longevity: This definitely lasts the 8 hours it claims to. I only apply this once a day at night before bed and it is still doing its thing in the morning.
Price: I used to use paw paw ointment on my lips, heels and any other dry areas and I used a lot more product than I do with this cream. I think this product is reasonably priced at $35 a tube. It think this product will be replacing my paw paw because the amount I use of the 8 hour cream it works out cheaper.
Packaging: The packaging is nice and simple with the nice red and white design. The packaging is also functional and the lid is easy to put on and off.
This product is recommended for shaping eyebrows but I found it too shiny for this purpose.
I would definitely recommend this to others, it will replace several of your other products such as: lip balm, heel balm, hand cream, facial moisturiser etc.
Tips: Fragrant creams not for you? Try the fragrance free version.
Apply a little to cuticles when doing your nails. Apply to heels and cover with socks and let the cream do its job.
Keep a tube in your car or handbag etc.
It works like magic. I suffer from terribly dry hands and with constant hand washing it strips the oils but I put this on overnight and it was instant results. I couldn't believe that this could help my dry flaking hands and I have super sensitive skin and it worked perfectly with no bad results
