This has been one of my go to creams for years an amazing multie purpose cream. Packaging is simple, understated even. A very light weight soft apricot colour balm. Smells of oil and lanolin to me it's not a pleasant scent. This is used for everything from cracked lips to sticking flyaway hairs down, it leaves a we shine and the balm softens up with the heat of your body, I found it absorbs quite readily but does leave an oily residue that I just whipe off. I have used this for years especially on my fingers when I get infected chillblanes right down to the cracks on my feet. This is the one thing I make sure I take when I'm travelling it's great on the plane for dehydrated skin and dry lips even bug bites. I have used this on sunburn as well and like Elizabeth Arden herself I used it on my horses and my leather boots. A awesome all rounder. Well worth the money.

This is a great product for chapped lips or any injuries. However, it is more of a Vaseline rather than creame and petroleum is the bulk of the ingredients as well.
What I like about it is that if I put this on my chapped lips over night it becomes all nice and smooth in the morning. However, it is very sticky which I don't like and if my hair gets in the middle it sticks to it!
Nonetheless, I absolutely love the results it gives for chapped lips and it is a great healer.
Tips: A little goes a long way.
The eight hour cream is fantastic for healing dry skin or lips. It works almost overnight for me if i have dry patches. It smells nice and smoothes onto the skin easily.
My main problem with eight hour cream is the price! It seems really expensive to me for a product that is mainly petroleum. A little does go a long way though.
I've been using this since I was very young . As a lip gloss, for fly aways, eyebrows and as a barrier cream for my son
This stuff has always been used in my family. It does what it says it does, its a magic cream and a tube lasts for AGES! The only thing i don't like is the smell, its nostalgic but also kind of makes me ill. I recently purchased the fragrance free version but it still had the distinctive EOC smell which if you can ignore the scent then the benefits of this are worth every penny! Also the lip balm version of this is amazing and I have one for every room of the house
I love this product and i've only recently become a convert. I wondered what all the raving about how great it was in the magazines was about until I tried it on my hideously dry and cracked heels . Overnight (hence I guess the 8 hour bit) they were transformed! I think this product is an awesome spot treatment product for lips, hands, feet but not an overall face moisturiser as such.
Tips: Lather it on your feet before you go to bed and put a pair of socks on...honestly you'll have soft spa perfect feet in the morning.
Having only heard about the cream and not actually seen it I really wasn't sure how to use it at first... the instructions suggested to smooth eyebrows and apply to hands. I tried my eyebrows, but to be honest just made them feel greasy and look shiny against my makeup so didn't do that again. Used it on my hands and it was quite nice... again, my hands ended up quite greasy so not ideal if you need to do things but just before bed would be perfect. I did also try it on my dry and cracked heels before bed and it was fantastic... I have been applying it every night in combination with pumice in the shower and it is working a treat!
Tips: Don't use too much... less is more!
I first used this product when it was first launched. I found the new product not as thick as the last one.
I found this no good anymore on my dry lips as I did the last time I used it.
Was great however on dry hands as a mask at night. I did notice a difference after only a few days.
Difficult to review this product as it really is a repair cream and treats things like chapping, peeling or flaking due to minor burns, sunburn, windburn etc - none of which I had. I did apply to my hands and used as a lip balm and whilst my first reaction was that it was very greasy, if you used sparingly it was just lovely on these areas. I spoke to several of my friends who use it regularly and have done for some time and they rave about it. My husband had a rash on his legs probably caused by things he had come in contact with at work - this cream really calmed things down for him
Tips: You don't need to use much to get a nice result.
I love this cream! The very first time I tried it was when I was about 15 and had a huge burn on my hand so my nana put the Eight Hour cream on it - needless to say I've been using it for everything since. I find it most useful during the winter when I get quite bad windburn on my lips. I've also recently started using it on my eczema. If applied when I'm about to go to bed I wake and find that my skin has healed overnight. It is an expensive product but you get a decent amount and a tube easily lasts me a year so I believe that it's worth it.
The biggest con for me is the smell, it's not very nice at all. But all the benefits of using the cream definitely outweigh this :)
