Possibly one of the best moisturisers I have ever tried. I use it on my face, hands and lips and the softness lasts for a long time afterwards. My only gripe is the smell - it isn't the best by any means, but for what it does, I'm willing to forgive the minor flaw. It is very expensive to buy but a little does go a long way with this.

Tips: Use as little as you can to avoid the "greasy" feeling you can get with it, especially around the face.
I was a bit hesitant about using this because I feel like sometimes people over-hype products, but this cream was amazing!! I recently travelled to Fiji and because of the change of weather my lips became really dry and skin began to peel - I used this over 8 days and I came back home looking like I just had a facial. Would highly recommend it for anyone who has sensitive skin like I do.
Tips: You can use this on anything!! I use it on my cuticles, lips, face.
This cream is magic in a tube. It is an extremely versatile product and I used it for dry chapped lips, dry heels, face moisturiser and a hand cream. It did wonders for my dry, sensitive skin leaving it feeling very soft and moisturized for the whole day.
Consistency: This is an extremely this balmy textured cream.
Application: It is easily applied. Just apply a small amount to the area requires and gently rub in.
Fragrance: This cream does have a strong fragrance which did bother me at first but I soon adjusted and got used to it. If strong fragrances bother you this product is also available in a fragrance free variety.
Coverage/Usage: Only a small amount of this cream is required for deep and thorough moisturisation. One 50 ml tube of this cream will last ages as you don't need to apply it as often as other moisturisers because it actually works.
Longevity: This definitely lasts the 8 hours it claims to. I only apply this once a day at night before bed and it is still doing its thing in the morning.
Price: I used to use paw paw ointment on my lips, heels and any other dry areas and I used a lot more product than I do with this cream. I think this product is reasonably priced at $35 a tube. It think this product will be replacing my paw paw because the amount I use of the 8 hour cream it works out cheaper.
Packaging: The packaging is nice and simple with the nice red and white design. The packaging is also functional and the lid is easy to put on and off.
This product is recommended for shaping eyebrows but I found it too shiny for this purpose.
I would definitely recommend this to others, it will replace several of your other products such as: lip balm, heel balm, hand cream, facial moisturiser etc.
Tips: Fragrant creams not for you? Try the fragrance free version.
Apply a little to cuticles when doing your nails. Apply to heels and cover with socks and let the cream do its job.
Keep a tube in your car or handbag etc.
Eight hour cream has a promising name really; I envisaged it making every day feel like a Friday and fast forwarding through the eight hours of work so I could get to the good bits after 5.00pm but this is a close second.
This probably wouldn’t have been a product I would normally buy; with a RRP of $35.00 it is quite pricey. But a little blob of it goes a long way
The packaging is clean and simple and easily identifies itself
Upon opening the first thing I noticed was the fragrance which isn’t the most pleasant of smells; it has a peppery odour to it that tends to linger. This being said I didn’t like it as a lip conditioner.
The cream is thick and almost heavy feeling, a touch greasy on initial contact which was a little off putting for me. It is pale orange in colour.
It does however rub in well and leaves skin feeling refreshed and revitalised.
I used it for a few days and definitely noticed a difference on the areas that I tested.
After it has soaked in my skin does feel softer. I used it on my hands and cuticles as I am a chronic cuticle chewer (yuck I know), it pretty much instantly soothed the cuticles and a bonus was they didn’t smell that nice so I wasn’t tempted to put them near my mouth!
Also I applied it to my cracked heels to which I noticed a considerable softness within a day of the first application and believe me it has been a long road finding a cracked heel cream that lives up to expectations. I used it on a scaly scarred area on my arm which is usually very dry and it soothed that and has hydrated it well.
I used it as a brow gel and it made it easy to define my arches and I would use it again for this.
I believe the hydration does last most of the day and gives better moisturising than many other products that are on the market. Having used this product I would recommend it to others and would likely purchase again in the future.
Tips: Definitely buy the fragrance free version!
I don't usually go for these name brands since I typical go for natural NZ brands since I find them cheaper and prefer the natural ingredients but after reading so many reviews plus there was a sale at Farmers so I had to get some. I used this for knees, feet, elbows, cuticles and lips. My knees and elbows have a tendency to get all discolored from calluses and really dry. I put a dab of this on before bed and the next morning the skin is back to it normal color and smooth and hydrated. I also use this on my feet and the next morning the calluses are softened even if I didn't use a foot file the night before. This can also be used on lips but my person preference is lip balm since this is a bit sticky and doesn't taste good. I have also used it for cuticles but I prefer cuticle oil as it sinks deeper and is less sticky.
The pros are: It's multipurpose, has some natural ingredients, comes in a decent sized tube and a little goes a long way.
The cons are: It's expensive for a balm and I wasn't fond of the scent of the Original tube. It also has some ingredients like mineral oil and BHT which is a toulene based ingredient and I avoid toulene in nail polishes.
Overall I will probably consider repurchasing if I can't find a better and cheaper balm to deal with calluses.
Tips: If you apply this on your feet at night it's best to wear socks over it to seal in the moisture and because your feet will be a bit greasy even the next morning and you could get greasy shoes. I recommend you smell the Original one before you choose between the Original or Unfragranced one as the scent reminded me of a tube of petroleum jelly with a hint of chemical apricot scent.
I have been suffering for a long time from dry skin on my forehead and around my nose. Especially after wearing makeup, even when I put on moisturiser before applying. A friend recommended the eight hour cream and I love it! Completely fixed the dry skin and can now wear other makeups over top without it caking up.
I bought this years ago when the Elizabeth Hurley collaboration with limited edition packaging came out. Everyone raved about it, including my mother and she convinced me to buy it. It was pricey, but worth it. It's a very versatile, and to quote them "miracle" product which lasted me quite a couple of years. I used it as moisturiser and lip balm and on general dry patches, bumps and bruises. The colour and smell did put me off a little, but it was something I could live with. I didn't repurchase as I didn't really feel the need to, but I might invest in one again.
I was at work one day with severely chapped lips and ended up talking to one of the Elizabeth Arden girls. Try this they said, you can come back and reapply during the day if needed but let us know how you go.
Well taking the stress of purchasing for starters made this a great idea. But by the end of the day I had purchased a wee gift set with 2 little tins of lip balm as well as the original eight hour cream.
You can use it on cuticles, split ends, fly aways on your head, sunburn...The list is endless!
It's a great all around product to have!
This is thick, easily spread and massaged in moisturiser. Great for dry hands and heels. Soaks into the skin and smells great.
Tips: Use nightly
I think the product is great and it does what it says it will do BUT I really don't like the smell of it and I don't like how sticky it is. I use it on any dry skin I have but wouldn't use it on my face or lips because of the smell.
