A classic Elizabeth Arden fragrance. The new packaging and bottle design is a wonderful face lift for this product. A very good every day fragrance that lasts the day. It is very true in this case that a little goes a long way. Use this fragrance sparingly or it has the ability to be very overpowering. This fragrance has lasted the test of time and is a favourite for many women. Although having said that, fragrance is a very personal thing and often what appeals to one person may not appeal to the next. Always use a tester before purchasing something as personal as a fragrance. Red Door is not expensive and as it is a fairly large bottle really good value for money.

Tips: Have fun and use the testers before making your purchase.
I really can't stand this perfume. It's just too overpowering to my senses. Its just straight up cloying. Yeesh. I don't recommend this perfume to anyone who favours a fresh, clean scent. I've also noticed a lot of older women tend to favour this; and walking past them on the street when they wear this perfume.. is overwhelming. Can't deny that this is a memorable fragrance though!
I really don't understand the hype around Red Door. I guess when something has been around for this long there must be people out there that like it (my aunt for one) but it really doesn't sit well with me. I find it too strong and quiet an "old" scent, not modern or youthful.
I LOVE Red Door!! It is one of the few perfumes that I can wear and get complimented on by everyone walking past me. It's a beautiful scent that lasts all day - and only one quick spray is really enough. It makes a perfect gift and every woman should have a beautiful bottle of Red Door on her dressing table!
I was lucky enough to get this perfume from the previous beauty vault -thanks BR! Red Door is really known as an iconic fragrance, so I really wanted to try this for myself.
Firstly, the perfume is in the shape of a red door, which is distinctive in itself. It looks elegant and different than other perfume bottles I have on my dresser. The gold top looks lovely against the red colour of the bottle.
Secondly, the scent is hard to define but it's a lovely mix of florals (rose, jasmine, violets, lilies and more) yet smells slightly spicy as well. I find it to be a beautiful scent that is quite different to the other fragrances I own.
Just a little spray really lasts for a significant amount of time. Even after a full day I can smell the lingering notes of this fragrance. The staying power really is amazing.
I think some people may view this as an 'older lady' scent but I think it really can appeal to a wide range of women as its such a classic and sophisticated scent.
Overall I'm impressed and glad I got to try this lovely, timeless fragrance.
For those of you who haven't tried this fragrance, go ahead you might be surprised!
Tips: Only spray a small amount, too much and it can be slightly overpowering.
this is amazing im in the younger generation and every time ive smelt red door it has been by the older generation im trying to get my friends and everyone into this as it is the best all round perfume... it lingers on clothes which lasts very long and in some cases even can smell the perfume after ive washed my clothes which makes them smell that much better i dont know anyone that has used this product say one bad thing about it the price range is good and the shape and look of the bottle is clever and eye catching pleaseeeee dont change a thing i soooo love this and im due to buy another one soon i love it that much :)
My mother in law brought me a bottle of this a few years ago for christmas and every year since then my husband buys me a new bottle for christmas..it is my all time favourite perfume..
I've been a fan of Red Door for many years now. It comes in a gorgeous red bottle and I buy the spray - although I understand it comes also in a non spray bottle. I find it very feminine and sweet and but not too 'flowery'. It is exotic and not too far in fragrance from opium (my favourite perfume). I find it lasts around 4 hours per day, as I prefer it for a day perfume. I usually have the 50 mls EDT which costs around $50 and I believe this is a good price as it lasts for ages. I would recommend it to anyone who likes an exotic sweet perfume.
Tips: Spray on areas prone to heating to regenerate it at intervals.
It smells funny but its really good. I would rather buy the other Arden purfumes but this one is definitely one to try. I wore it to work and it lasted a long time and sometimes I just liked smelling my clothes coz it smelt so good.
Tips: Put on neck and clothes at front where you and others can smell.
I love the new updated bottle Elizabeth Arden have given Red Door, but that's as far as it goes for me. I found the fragrance powdery and sweet to begin with then bold and over bearing, one spray goes along way so I commend them for a lasting perfume! I found it cloying and, over the course of the day, it made me feel quite unwell as it over powered my senses. Unfortunately Red Door does not get my vote :(
Tips: A little goes a loooooooooong way!
