I was lucky enough to get this perfume from the previous beauty vault -thanks BR! Red Door is really known as an iconic fragrance, so I really wanted to try this for myself.
Firstly, the perfume is in the shape of a red door, which is distinctive in itself. It looks elegant and different than other perfume bottles I have on my dresser. The gold top looks lovely against the red colour of the bottle.
Secondly, the scent is hard to define but it's a lovely mix of florals (rose, jasmine, violets, lilies and more) yet smells slightly spicy as well. I find it to be a beautiful scent that is quite different to the other fragrances I own.
Just a little spray really lasts for a significant amount of time. Even after a full day I can smell the lingering notes of this fragrance. The staying power really is amazing.
I think some people may view this as an 'older lady' scent but I think it really can appeal to a wide range of women as its such a classic and sophisticated scent.
Overall I'm impressed and glad I got to try this lovely, timeless fragrance.
For those of you who haven't tried this fragrance, go ahead you might be surprised!
Lasts all day, very vintage flowery smell, is nice when worn at the right occasions. However I agree with Plumpy completely, this perfume has been ruined by people wearing it at supermarkets and pubs, I feel like there is no appreciation for this fragrance any-more and that it has received a bad reputation. It is a love-hate situation for me, its gorgeous worn at the right occasion, but unfortunately to many women wear it anywhere and everywhere.
Tips: Spray lightly, and wear at the right occasions. Dinners out, cocktail party's etc.
